  1. Hello. I created a simple mission for P-47, where I tried to strafe a Schnellbot with just my machine guns. One of my series destroyed the middle AA-gun of the boat. But as I saw on the F9 preview, that gun still kept firing at my plane, I could clearly see tracers. Damaging the boat more than 80% silences all of AA-guns. I have attached a track showing that attack, the Normandy 2 map is required, and the P-47D module. P-47D vs Schnellboot.trk
  2. As long as I remember, Hellcat was always my favourite warbird. I have books, monographies, models of F-6F, and of course, games. Not only flight sims like Il-2 Pacific Fighters or MS Combat Flight Simulator 2, but also simple arcade games. But one game, "Wings of Fury" for Amiga, has special place in my memories, because it was my first related to planes game ever. Years later, when I am familiar with programming languages and basics of graphics, I made my own arcade game with Hellcat, strongly based on "Wings of Fury": I am very excited waiting for that beautiful dark blue bird in DCS - all I need is Double Wasp and six .50 cal brownings!
  3. Hello, Sometimes, when I do a cold start, and set INS alignment to GC mode, I randomly get the "GC HOLD" message on HUD, and alignment does not resume anymore. The aircraft does not move at all, wheel chocks are placed. Any ideas, what stops the alignment?

    Laser Codes

H60MTI is right. I tried that mission, too. GBU-28 didn't "catch" the laser beam. TGP code was 1688, as well as the code for the GBU-28's station, as I checked in the Mission Planner. Mk-84 bombs seemed to be buged, too. I couldn't place the CCIP pipper on the ship when diving. I think the last case was reported here:
  5. Sorry, my picture is kind of misleading, I rather thought of post WW2 planes, especially MiG-15 and F-86. Those planes have this option, I will check warbirds.
  6. Thank you, Recoil16, now everything is clear. I don't know how could I be so dumb to even start this topic without getting familiar with that radio. I don't have a TrackIR so the AM/FM button is totally obscured by some frame elements of the ejection seat but I still could use RCtrl + RShift + NumPad keys. Anyway, "correct as it is"
  7. Hello, When I do a cold start at Vaziani Airbase on the Caucasus map, I try to set up the ATC frequency, 140 MHz, on the new ARC-210 radio device. Ufortunately, every time I use the "manual" mode to set 140 MHz, the modulation automatically switches from AM to FM. I use 269 MHz instead, but I would like to ask if it's a bug. Track file is attached to this topic. A-10 radio bug.trk
  8. Hello, I would like to ask a question about the communication between me and my AI flight members. When I send orders like "Engage my target", they reply either "roger" or "unable" but that's not the point. What about planes without radar locking capability? Is "my target" the nearest enemy plane or the one closest to my plane's longitudal axis (the enemy I am "looking at", directly in front of me)? Or maybe the aspect angle is also important? I will explain it on the picture below. The left enemy plane is closer to my plane's longitudal axis and the one on the right has shortest distance.
  9. I noticed it when I created a mission involving 2 F-15C (player as the leader) and 2 F15E. The ATC orders to take of from Runway 33. The Strike Eagles are first to takeoff and they can taxi to the destination runway with no ptoblem. When my flight is on taxiway, I hear "Unable to clear for takeoff" when crossing the Runway 9-27 I guess. I can continue to runway 33, but my wingman stops. He resumes taxiing after I get airborne.
  10. Exactly, it happened when flying the EE version. I will check what happens when I switch to "cold" ASAP. Thanks. UPDATE 2023-02-22 Now everything is clear, it was nothing but my mistake. I did not flip the air conditioning master switch. It looks like a pushbutton from the pilot's perspective, unlike in CE version.
  11. I confirm it, it makes difficilt to fly on the autopilot.
  12. Hello. Many times as I takeoff and climb to at least 5000ft, a couple of minutes later the yellow T.EQ warning indicator lights up. As I read in the manual, it means that the temperature of the electronic equipment increases above 50 deg or drops below 5 deg. The temperature scale on the right console shows it dropped below 5 deg, so I try to switch the equipment conditioning to CHAUD (warm). But I need to HOLD this switch, oterwise it returns to middle position. Is there a way to work it around? Or maybe the equipment temperature is not something I should worry about in this sim?
  13. Hello, I have the Steam version. After the latest update, I can fly a Mirage F1EE, but I have only two files in Docs. Neither of them contains EE version appendix. UPDATE - disregard this post, I've just downloaded the proper manual
  14. I have even stranger problem with INU, here is what I did: 1. In the Mission Editor I placed a single Ka-50 III on the apron of the Queshm Island airbase (Persian Gulf Map), with option "takeoff from ramp" 2. During the startup, I set the "Normal alignment" 3. After the alignment and startup was over, I manually added a waypoint about 25 km north-east of the airbase, with both PVI-800 and Abris. 4. Before takeoff, the HSI indicated accurate bearing and range to the wayopint. 5. Two cases: if I started engines DURING ALIGNMENT, then after the takeoff, the waypoint began to drift rapidly until the range on HSI was almost 1000 km. If I started the engines AFTER ALIGNMENT, then after the takeoff, the waypoint began to drift rapidly again, until the range on HSI was about 80 km. I don't know if it's related to this topic, maybe on the Caucasus map, errors and drifts are smaller.
  15. According to the changelist, AI of WW2 warbirds was not changed. Meanwhile, I had another crazy dogfight, this time against a Su-33, Enemy pilot did not do any crazy vertical loops. What he actually did, was crazy horizontal circles. Here is the trackfile: Tacview-20221029-191955-DCS-F18 vs Su33.zip.acmi From 00:05:20 - constantly pulls 8g and flies over 500 kts. The only option for me was to stay lower and do similar turns, at lower speed. I did not want to lose the sight on him. Fortunately, he made a mistake . Or he got "bingo fuel" alarm and decided to RTB.
