The 21 doesn’t use the standard dcs core navigation. It needs a proprietary file. It was never intended to be a part of dcs world. I’ve changed and adjust the beacons.lua file and works perfect with the L-39, for now the only airframe that uses the Rsbn/Prmg in the dcs core system. The code is available from 2005, before DCs world.

It’s easy to solve the problem for Ugra. I solved it in 15 minutes and without their tools, but only to see if it was possible to solve. Remember that only the modules that use the RSBN/PRMG coded using the DCS Core Navaids (L39 and PRMG for the FC3 Soviet airplanes)are affected.

Tested a modified beacons.lua with @ESAc_flankercobra with the L39 and a perfect IFR flight with functional RSBN stations from the DCS Core.

Second one, (70_6) lacks frequency in its definition. For a 88 tacan, 1131MHZ must be used in the frequency, but doing this will trigger an error due to a duplicate system in the same area.
-
This. There are 20 RSBN stations and 6 PRMG (3 stations each one with a localizer and glideslope definition), ALL OF THEM WORNGLY CODED without frequencies.
-
117.1 it´s not a valid ILS frequency. It´s a VOR frequency. ILS frequencies: 108 to 112MHZ.
-
I´m looking at the beacons.lua and the RSBN are all wrongly coded, without frequencies or outside range frequencies. It´s like they are using the "fake 21 navigation" instead of the proper RSBN core DCS function. Same applies to PRMG that are wrongly coded. Problem is that there is no "identification name" in the beacon definition so it´s difficult to know where the stations are. I´m trying to make a quick test with @ESAc_flankercobra aid to see if it could be quickly solved.

RSBN are outside frequency range (770-1000 Mhz) and PRMG are wrongly coded with ILS/VOR frequencies instead of the 800-1000Mhz if I remember correctly. So basically it´s a not functional NDB with the "type = BEACON_TYPE_RSBN;" but outside the frequency range and a ILS/VOR with "type" definition changed but outside frequency ranges. I suppose it´s a joke... or a wrong file loaded.

@skywalker22 this only affect the 21. I was talking about the maps and the L39 and a future MiG-29 that uses a real RSBN and PRMG system. With the 39, you can use the rsbn in “Dead reckoning mode”, you can’t do that in the 21. The 21 uses a pseudo system outside the DCS core because it was designed as a standalone product using proprietary systems.
-
Ugra or any other can implement it. Definitions are in the core from more than 20 years. Sniped! I implanted it for myself for kola, only the “physical object” can only be implemented by a 3rd party.
-
Mig-21 is not affected. It uses a pseudo system that relies in an old lua file for each map. (Old lomac mod)
-
Well, flying a “western” airplane you can rely on tacan and tacan offsets in order to make an attack/interception… in the eastern bloc countries. It’s the third map with this problem. But the first that places ils and tacan in “eastern” military airbases
-
@ESAc_flankercobra 21 uses a proprietary sistem based on on a lua file. So in the end you can place any navaid in any place. For the 39 and the 29, and to a lesser exent the “Soviets” fc3, you are right.
-
And the new 9.12a only VFR. No RSBN corrections for the nav system. Even FC3 makes use of basic PRMG (29/25/27)
-
Yes, the "western navaids" seem accurate as you said in maybe all of the map.
-
In the streaming no eastern navaids are depicted. Conversely, there are ils in GDR airports and military bases and maybe some Tacan. Maligno, pues en el streaming de Wags no hay radioayudas soviéticas. Contrariamente hay ILS en bases de la RDA y creo que hasta tacanes en la zona oriental.

Maybe I’m wrong but I think that the IDM is necessary for the intraflight A-A target sharing. Regardind SADL and JTAC, I remember to read something about it but I think that was a thing of the Block 30/32. Not sure if the newer 50/52 are SADL equipped or only relies in L16. Maybe I’m wrong, English is not my mother tongue.
-
There is a problem with both networks, SADL and the L16. For the A10C (SADL) and the A10CII (L16 WIP with the new ARC-210, some settings are displayed but no operative in the ME yet, mainly the Gateway in order to connect with the L16). Sometimes IA flight are displayed over SADL (for non SADL equipped airframes) in the A10C e.g. It seems that it will be corrected and adjusted in due time if/when all the DL system in the A10CII get revamped with the ARC-210.

@MAESTR0 will Soviet Navaids be depicted and operational in the map? They are in the dcs core. In the preview map even GDR military airfields have western Navaids like tacan and ILS. It’s more a basic and needed feature that a “future wish”. Thanks in advance.
-
@NineLine or @BIGNEWY, Sorry, but what’s the point moving this thread to the “DCS core wish list”? RSBN and PRMG systems are functional in the DCS core AFAIK. (Caucasus map and L39, Kursant campaign) Maybe moving it to the “DCS Germany wish list” it’s more appropriate. Thanks in advance.

@MAESTR0 in the map preview, east Germany bases (and other eastern bloc countries bases) are depicted with ILS systems (white arrows with ILS frequencies, some out of frequency range) instead of PRMG systems (blue arrows with upper UHF frequencies). I assume the same for TACAN instead of RSBN. Example: Damgarten depicts an ILS system (124.10 mhz, outside of the ILS range) instead of a RSBN/PRMG system. RSBN and PRMG are coded and operational in the core system of DCS from Blackshark 1.0 (before DCS world) and are full operational in the L-39 module (and I hope in the future MiG-29A 9.12) I´m a bit concerned about this. Syria doesn´t have any RSBN or PRMG stations, even there was in use for the Syrian Air Force (a pair of systems was bought in the 60/70s to operate with Soviet airplanes) Thanks in advance. null
