In the MiG-21 module, RSBN/PRMG are listed in an independent file. You can put a RSBN anyway on the map, editing this file with a coordinates, codes and morse signal without a vehicle and this point will work as a RSBN/PRMG. There is no diference for the LN module. The beacons.lua file, where the real RSBN/PRMG are defined and are asociated with vehicles, along with the TACA/VOR/ILS...is working only for ED/BST modules. Until we´ve got the L-39 module, we won´t have a proper RSBN/PRMG simulation. I have a moded file with the RSBN/PRMG restricted to the Airbases that have it, along with a restricted 16 only signals (with Standard morse code, so you can listen the same morse code when you fly the Fagot or the Hokum, or the Huey) for the ARK-10, like the real 21. Regards.

Clean Install 1.976+New Aries.dll Installation without any problem. Thanks Towsim!
-
Windows 8.1 pro as administrator, running all software with admin privilegies.

No joy. Clean install of 1.976. TS3 crashes on startup. Deleting AriesProtocol.exe. Aries is show as "deactivated" (no tic) in settings/plugins. TS3 crashes when I try to actívate Aries pluign in Settings/plugins. For now the only way to make 1.976 work have been to install 1.976 without uninstall 1.973beta. I have a "dcs stop working" when I quit a mission but I press accept and DCS continues to work without problem, even with a debriefing log.

Same problem as HMA. Solved installing 1.976 without uninstall 1.973beta. Only problem is that I have a "DCS stop working" when I quit the misión, but I press "Accept" and DCS Works without problem, even with a mision log. 2 bugs in the Mi-8: as Mirmidon reported, ICS/Radio values are reversed and preset frequencies of R-863 seem to be out of range: 14Mhz instead of 140Mhz for example. But I have no problems with manual tuning of the R-863 in the central console. Thanks. Update: If I deactive the Aries plugin in TS/setting/plugins and close TS, I´ve a TS crash when I try to start the TS. I´ve to reinstall 1.973 to solve it.

UH-1H. 2nd test. From the sea to Gelendzik. HDG:30, altitude:1000 meters/3000ft, distance:+100km No VOR signal until the helicopter is below 500mts/1500ft at +110km At 30KM from VOR, signal lost if I'm over 30meters/150ft. I think there is something wrong with the LOS of VOR
-
In beta 1.2.16 update1, at +30km from Kutaisi VOR, clear LOS, if altitude is higher than 150 meters/500 feet (aprox), signal lost from VOR. Edit, max altitude before signal lost, 500mts/1500ft. Clear LOS, distance +100km

Like the R-73, this Igla mount was only displayed in a mock-up in the 90´s. The outer pylon that carries the Igla it´s now only being tested in the 52. Some Mi-24 of the PVO carried R-60 after the "Mathias Rust incident" for border patrol missions. Mi-24 upgraded to 35M will be able to carry the IGLA too, if pass tests. The 2 KA-50 that were combat tested in Chechenya didn´t have an Abris. They were under control of a KA-29 control helicopter, i don´t remenber what subtype, for targeting and navigation aid. So, for a "completely real simulation of the operative KA-50", we need to remove the ABRIS. Regards.

Next DCS (European) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List

Mirage III, USAF century series, first F-4 variants (B/C/D/J/N) and F-8 are suitable oponents for the 21"no-bis". 21bis entered in service in 1972/3. Maybe the future Mirage F-1 from Aviodev is the perfect nemesis for the 21bis, alongside with F-4E/S, F-104S, 14A, 15A, 16A, JA-37 and the rest of the airplanes of the late 70's and first 80's. Regards. -
From 1.2.11 I think, russian FC3 airplanes have real PRMG systems according to the real world. Only aerodromes with this system give you indications for an instumental nav cues in the HSI and the HUD. Beslan doesn´t has a PRGM system, so you haven´t got any indications on the HSI. Only military bases have PRMG systems: Krymsk, Krasnodar Center, Maykop and Mineralye (civil-military), I think. Regards.

Next DCS (Russian) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Tarres replied to Milene's topic in DCS Core Wish List
The RuAF 25SM,doesn´t have any radar pod or Shkval or SEAD pod. It´s a simple upgrade for the nav/attack suite of the 25A plus the capacity for use new guided EO-Bombs. It has a right MFCD for nav and control, but nothing more. The first use of "25SM" was by Sukhoi for a upgrade with radar, EO Pods, and more things, but was dropped by excesive costs. Regards. -
The T was created to be a specialized Anti-tank airplane with the same attack and navigation suite of the KA-50. SEAD and other pods were displayed in prototypes of the Sukhoi Factory in airshows (even one carried a MMW radar pod with AS-17, R-77, R-27, KH-35, all dummies of course....) The TM´s were tested with an enhaced nav and attack suite more capable. I don´t known if it was tested in a SEAD/DEAD rol but I think that it was highly improbable. SEAD missions were carried by specialized SU-24 and MiG-25. Sorry for my english. Bye!

If we could have a real 25T, real loadouts would be restricted by the capacities of the attack computer, so: .- combinations of as much as 2 different weapons. Note that different rocket subtypes (S-80FP2, S-80KOM...) count as "different weapons" since it has different balistics in each subtype. .- No SEAD, Mercury or Omul ECM pods. .- Vihkr loadouts: only vihkr and fuel tanks. .- the most external hardpoints, not the A/A, are empty, unless in a very short range missions. The T attack/nav suite shares the same basic design of the KA-50 attack/nav suite (25T was designed as a specialized anti-tank airplane), the TM was designed with an improved attack suite but only 3 were builded as a "rebuild prototypes". About SEAD, a number of two seaters bielorussians (UBM I think) were tested as a SEAD, with the operator in the second seat to control the Phantasmagoria pod. Best regards.

Yes is the QFE issue. Ok. So it´s the same issue that it is present in the 21. Thanks.

I am only able to get QNE information in imperial Units and not in metric. I set the plane and the airbase in "Russia" in the mission editor, and Cockpìt Language in Russian in options but still no joy. A bug or am I missing something? Thanks Tarres

Correct Skull, in Batumi, Sogalung and Vaziani there aren´t any compatible radioaids with the Sabre and Fagot. Radionavigation beacons and aids are defined in the beacons.lua file. These are defined with a object atached and these objects, if destoryed, make the signal fails. This file is only ued at this moment by ED and BST modules. Thrid parties make their own files (I don´t known why) For example, LN MiG-21 allows 72 frequencies defined by the user and 99 RSBN/PRMG but the real ARK-10 only supports 26. The near-far selector in the Fishbed makes nothing. In the real system, beacons are stowed in the push buttons for the "near" and 16 in the rotary selector for the "far".RSBN-6 allows only between 20-30 stations I think, and these presets are diferent for a RSBN and a PRMG station. The switches Azimut and Bearing with the rotary not in use in the RSBN panel in the LN MiG allows to input a distance in the counter, so the pilots can select a NDB and put the desired distance. In the Mission Editor we can see the channels of the PRMG in the military russian airports (the blue numbers in Mozdok, Krasnodar, Krymsk..) I think that until we´ve got a L-39 Albatross we can´t use properly the russian radionavs. I expect that in the 2.0 we colud make the assignations for the beacons for the planes in the ME, like in the Fagot. Sorry for my english.
-
In the "presets (labeled: near)" position, the ARk-5 Works in fully automatic mode. No input from the control panel of the ARK-5 is needed. Sorry for my english.
-
One question... ATC gives you barometric data in imperial. Is it posible to change any setting to have this data in metric? In the Fagot and the 109 I´m unable to change this and the barometric data always is in Imperial. Thanks! (Now I´m going for a walk at 25º Celsius near the beach. Mediterranean Weather)

Correct uBoats. That´s the problem with the use of mobile devices and typing on a small keyboard... ADF switch (left side just under the canopy frame)labeled as "Near/Far": Near: presets. Far: manual. See the Skulleader perfect picture for a visual explanation. Bye!
-
Set in the control panel of the ARK-5 the selector in KOM or Antenna position. For preset NDB (via mission editor in MHZ), set ADF near/far in the "Near" position. Activate NDB1,2 or 3. Don´t actívate 2 NDB at the same time, the electric drive of the antenna will try to turn the antenna to the 2 NDB at the same time and falis. Example: in the free flight misision, open the mission and set ndb2 and 3 to the NDB frequencies: 281khz (0.281Mhz) and 591khz (0.591Mhz) of the airfield. ADF selector in the "FAR" position gives you manual control of the ARk -5, like in the Sabre and ARK-9 in the Mi-8. Greetings and sorry for my english.

Hi Homes. When I was doing the UH-1H presets, I made a mistake (a coma) and started again and deleted these lines. Yes, these lines are necesary for the reason you say. If you could remake these file with the mssing lines and upload again, please do it. I´m a bit busy with the real Life. About the A-10C presets I suspect that they don´t work because you can load frequencies inflight, and the LUA maybe it´s a bit different. Sorry for my english. Regards.

Thank you very much. It works with the KA-50 R-828 and with the UH-1H UHF Radio also. But I can´t make it work with the A-10C UHF or VHF presets. I can change the frequencies in the editor but in the sim it reads the default frequencies. Can anyone please take a look at the A-10C UHF and VHF lua files? They are quite similar to the Huey files but something changes. I´ve attached a file with a JSGME ready for the UH, the Hip and the Hokum.
