Definitely wish ED was clearer on this, I could've used this on may occasions but I didn't know about it... I hope when they finally revamp the comms system or at least add more relevant features they try and explain the madness to the masses...

I don't think given how recent of a weapon it is that it could even be modeled with the restricted level of info we have about it. Plus given EDs repeated mantra of modeling a module after a specific aircraft within a certain date, time, block, etc I don't think it would fit what they're going after They even said no to SDBs on the Viper... :(

I am no expert on the Apache and im just shooting in the dark, but will lasing from Apache for a buddy or Buddy for Apaches' Hellfire be supported upon release or into development? I personally can't think of why this would not be implemented but as I said I don't have any evidence for or against it. Just want to be a helo AFAC for my hawg buddies

I've seen it in plenty of AAR Tutorials but I really wanted to use it in a MP setting for myself. The problem is that I cant find it... Is it F4 view just changed to where the boom operator would be? Or is it a dedicated view setting?

Removing the other file worked! I will make sure i wait until 20% aswell but it wasn't the issue. Ty @Flappie and @Mr_sukebe for your help!

I will try that. Your previous is exactly what i was doing although i have tried to wait a bit more for around 20% before idle to no avail...
-
Not even renaming the file worked. Any other suggestions? Im going to run skatezillas repair tool and see if it fixes anything... I also moved the other throttle profile from the folder in case that was somehow the issue...
-
It did not. I will now try renaming the folder and hope its the problem
-
It did! Now lets see if reinstalling the viper fixed the issue
-
Both didnt work... Could it be Windows Defender or whatever its called?
-
Ran the uninstaller. I did have avast a while back but i "removed" it before i got dcs and havent had an issue yet. Im going to restart my pc and reboot the wifi in the meantime, we'll see how it goes

Now my viper wont redownload... Attached is the log. I have a solid connection and everything should be working fine but it wont go. I'll try again later but i dont think its a server issue... autoupdate_log.txt
-
Neither option changed anything. I'll try what @Flappie said and reinstall the viper and see what happens. Ty for your help so far tho!

Everything else works perfectly fine, especially the hawg. Cutoff works great, idle works great, and in general i have had zero problems with my setup except for the viper
-
No, i am not using that, i have specifically disabled. I have always used Sim, and I have tried to unbind the cutoff if it was having issues. So far it hasn't worked.
-
This is making me very frustrated. Recently(2 weeks ago) i got a Warthog hotas and ever since my viper refuses to start. either jfs doesnt change anything, keybinds wont work, changing/removing throttle cutoff wont work, refueling wont work. Is this a known bug or is there fix? its making me very angry id like to add I have not changed my startup routine at all. the only change was my warthog and the recent updates

Hello all, I just got an NVMe SSD and want to use it for DCS. My previous version was on my Mechanical HDD and it resulted with crashes in really large missions. When I tried to download a new version of DCS(I put the installer on the fresh NVMe drive) it tried to download on the slow HDD again. I have tried to get around this by deleting my original DCS but the installer seems to like my Program Files just a bit too much. How can I force it to download on the NVMe Drive? If its possible...

Hello all, I have recently had many issues with MP crashes because DCS is on my hard drive. I have been trying to put DCS on my 128gb SSD Boot Drive instead of the more slow and larger 500gb HDD however I have been unsuccessful in creating enough space... One of the things that I want to try is deleting the 3D Objects Folder because it has 20gb of unknown files that could possible allow enough space to transfer DCS. 20gb seems like a lot of files to just thanos snap away, so I am very interested in what is actually in there. Because DCS uses a lot of 3D textures my first thought is that ironically DCS uses the 3D Objects folder, but I am not sure. Does anyone know? Is it safe to delete? I have only seen people say its for Microsoft Paint 3D, and I have never used MS Paint 3D so I dont think thats what its for... *note: the ansel folder has the same issue, i have no idea of its purpose but it takes 20gb of storage. Thats 40gb total if I can delete these folders. Thoughts?

I have a similar situation to the og poster, i have 500gb HDD and a 128gb SSD. The only thing that confuses me is that DCS runs awesome on singleplayer but the second i move to Hoggit GAW for example the entire thing dies. I have made a few relatively demanding missions in the mission editor and they have run flawlessly. Why the change? Rest of the computer specs: Asus Tuf X570 WI-FI Ryzen 5 3600 Gtx 1650 4gb(I run dcs on minimal settings, it looks good enough for me there) 16gb DDR4 3200mhz RAM(2 x 8gb) 650 Watt EVGA PSU I am really intrigued why multiplayer is so finnicky compared to singleplayer.... To further confuse me, both the mission I made and GAW are both on Caucasus Map and I flew in the same areas although on GAW I never get off the ground before DCS crashes....
