  1. We have opened up and F14B squadron! We are eagerly looking for recruits, especially those willing to RIO. The F14B in JTF-111 flies under the VF-32 “Fighting Swordsmen” typically as part of the 3rd Carrier air wing. In real life the squadron took part in both wars in Iraq and in Lebanon. VF-32 has a long combat history dating back to WW2 and includes actions in Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. In JTF-111 the F14B primarily performs CAP and strike missions. nullThe Tomcat features excellent radar, Link4 and phoenixes. The LANTIRN TGP combined with its large weapons load provides it with significant strike capacity. Callsign: Gypsy CO: Ramrodnull

This mission will be an attempt to recreate Operation El Dorado Canyon with the assets currently available in DCS. F-15Es will assume the role played by F-111s. The mission is a nighttime deep strike during bad weather. Night tanking is a required skill for this mission due to no available diverts. Minimum required players: 2x F-15 (Strikers) 2x F-18 (SEAD) 2x F-16 (SEAD)

Turkey is very pleased with our help in taking their country back from the clutches of Wagner’s nuclear blackmail. We have managed to mostly degrade Wagner’s air threat from both Turkish airports and off the island of Cyprus. Things are now moving to the next phase which involves ground operations to take back the island of Cyprus. Landings are occurring on the northwest coast at Karavostasi, on the northeast coast of the peninsula and at Larnaca. Armoured troops have already been landed at Farmagusta. Dude, Hellcat and Nickels will be responsible for CAS and defense of any sea borne attacks on the landings in their designated zone (east 1/3 of Cyprus = Dude, middle = Nickel, west 1/3 Cyprus = Hellcat). We have some target areas identified but you will also be on call for any other targets as may be identified by troops on the ground. NOTE: offensive helo or A-10 operations could be included in this mission if you indicate a desire to fly those airframes early enough.

Successful attacks on Soviet logistics including the port of Latakia and the train depot at Raqqa have hampered their advance. At long last they have organized their forces to launch an attack against Palmyra and its oil fields, the main target of their forces. Soviet troops are attacking over the mountains north of Palmyra, but the main thrust of their attack is a large tank force from the East from Deir ez-Zur. They have heavily shelled from the mountains to the North of Palmyra damaging much of the city including the ancient Roman monuments. Unlike in Deir-ez Zur, Syrian troops have been mobilized in large numbers and are prepared to defend against the attack. However, the Soviets have learned from their mistakes and this time have brought SA-6's along with the SA-8/13/15s and Shilkas. They have also timed their attack to coincide with remnant cloud layer from the storm several days prior that will force allied aircraft into the threat rings of those SAM systems. USAF crews have been flown into nearby Tiyas AFB and are capable of rearming and refueling aircraft. 555 Objectives CAS of advancing Soviet armor from the East. You will need to use LGBs or Mavs to stop them. 224 Objectives Primary: SEAD of SA-6 and to remain on station looking for mobile SA-8/13/15s Secondary: CAS of troops advancing from north. 492 Objectives Primary: Established air supremacy over Palmyra (CAP) Secondary. Find and Bomb artillery positions. Note: It would be useful to have a JTAC or someone coordinating ground strikes in this mission. A10s or Apaches could also do this.

Our weekly training events. We start out with a quick briefing at 2000 EST and chat in the group for about 10min, then break off into our individual groups to discuss what the night's training will look like. Sometimes we have formal training with a slide presentation followed by practice. Other times we have informal practice where we just head up and work on one or two skills. All training nights include group communication, coordination, general aviation work, followed by individual skills. Training nights last between 1-2hrs. We ask that all members attend at least half (2 per month) our training sessions, as that is where our real cohesion (and fun) happens.
