I'd like a F-15C Eagle slot. Also, my ping was 383 but I was able to connect without problems and I couldn't see any obvious lag. I guess I'll just have to see how it goes on the day. My name in game is Scarecrow btw.

Is there any way I can test my connection to the server before hand? I suspect I may have some issues connecting (high ping etc) so I'd like to ascertain that now rather than on the day.

It's been a while since I last flew the A10 but I think it's the pinky button on the joystick (same as the nosewheel steering button - NOT the paddle switch). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I've lost all my key mappings for the a10 so I can't check. Hope this helps!

Just wanted to jump in here and say that I'm experiencing exactly the same issue. I just flew the first f15c mission and my fps was unplayable by the end of the mission. My CPU wasn't even close to being maxed out (~15% utilization max). Definitely feels like a memory leak of some kind.

This might be a stupid question but, what level of realism are we going for here? I'm new to this whole online mission scene and am a bit of noob when it comes to tactics etc. so I was wondering if someone could point me to a thread on correct procedures/ tactics or something?

I'll just jump in here and say that there is another game like this called StarMade which is a lot further along development wise(and currently free, though buying it only costs $6 so it's worth doing just to support the dev!). StarMade looks very similar to Minecraft and already has things like multiplayer, trading and weapons etc. Definitely worth checking out imo. Here's the link: http://star-made.org/

Hi guys Can someone please explain to me how exactly the communications shortcuts work (things like cover me, toggle formation etc)? I have mapped a few of them to my HOTAS but when I try to use them in flight, nothing happens. Thanks

RealityXP have modelled the Garmin 430 and 530 to an extremely high quality for FSX, FS9 and XPlane. They come with a tool to add the gauges to the 2D cockpits of any aircraft you choose, and some third party planes (Carenado etc) allow you to replace the stock GPS with the RealityXP GPS in the virtual cockpit. RealityXP's GNS430/530s are known for their accuracy and many real life pilots use them to familiarise themselves with the real Garmins. Definitely worth it imo. I have about the same amount of sim time as you and lately I've been playing without labels. It definitely adds more realism and challenge to the sim. Usually I use the TGP with WHOT (Or BHOT, depending on the situation) to find my targets. Even though JTAC could use a bit of polishing I still find it very useful for finding targets as well. As others have said, its YOUR sim and you can fly it however you want. If you would prefer keeping the labels on for the time being, that's fine. Hope this helps :)
