  1. According to the situation now, i can speculate that if ED developed all the flyable aircrafts in today's IL-2, you should pay about $10,000.00($39.99 for each aircraft) to buy all of them. And you will need to wait more than 300 years for ED to publish the last aircraft!

  3. Actually, it is the AAF Manual 51-127-5 give me the thought that custom converge of P-51D/K was available in WWII. Even the converge is set to a piont on the ground, there still will be a spreading during the flight due to the elasticity of the wings, especially in a high G turn. Bad habit or not, I just think its a way to improve the guns efficiency.
  4. If your dream comes true, the first thing should do is to release the gobal map. And 40+ players dogfighting in a same server will crash their clients.
  5. You should say the P-40 does not have K-14 sight. It's concerning nothing about hollywood movie or not.:pilotfly: We cannot expect the K-14 works perfect in all ranges. It mainly depends on the gun's vertical convergence.
  6. I just want to know if there is a chance we can chose the convergence in the mission editor and planner. Perhaps the aircraft guns setting in DCS is depending on the lua or other config file, and make it's difficult to change and share the date in multiplay (anti-cheat). The convergence is very important for WWII style air combat mission. We perfer different settings in dogfight, bomber intercepter and ground attack mission. In real world, those guns shall be adjusted and corrected after installation and maintenance. In the movie "Pearl Harbor", we can see they are fireing those guns of P-40 in the hangar to adjust them. In IL-2, even the convergence of rockets can be adjusted, and in CLoD, every single gun can be adjusted for Vertical and horizontal convergence. Now I can fly the P-51D with this fixed guns setting and kill the enemy both in the air and on the ground. But if the convergence can be adjusted, it will make the DCS:P-51D a better simmulator.
  7. I think the artillery rounds in the night should be visible with NVG. And the same to A-10C's 30mm cannon rounds. Because their high temperature will make a significant Infrared signature. This was from a video of firing artilleries in Iraq war:

  10. The manual page.48: "The guns can be adjusted on the ground for different convergence points based on the tactical needs of the mission." And this can also be found in "AAF Manual 51-127-5" page.40
  11. Holy S**t! We apologize for an oversight that is causing an activation to be used when installing a 1.2.1 product version. We will do our best to resolve this as soon as possible. In the meantime, please deactivate your product prior to installing a 1.2.1 version product. I'v lost one activate chance for ALL my DCS prodcts: CA, P51D, A10C and BS2UPD! Could you ED guys add one activate chance for all DCS players due to your mistake?

  14. If u put the dlls in the oppsite folders (x64 in syswow64, x86 in system32), u will get a crisis. All softwares using DirectX won't work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WoW64
  15. Now the problem of mine is solved. The DirectX is the key. In my case, some x86 dll files of DirectX were put in the "system32" folder. Reinstalling DirectX can't correct the x86 or x64 version of these dll files. So I just unpack the cab files of DirectX June 2010 and put the x64 dlls into "system32" folder and x86 files in "syswow64" folder manually. Skip those files are using by the system. After that, try intall the DirectX June 2010 again, and now it's worked.
  16. I guess I find the reason why... Aircrafts and AAMs can only collide with the stationary structures BELOW 100 meters. If u fly higher than 100m AGL, u will go through it. Bombs, rockets and guns are not limited to this.U must make the "collision" box selected in 3ds max. Hope someone can fix this limit.
  17. I didn't know how to add a bounding box and collision mesh. I tried to add a box surrounding the object and set it as bounding box, but this lead the failure in exportting to lom file. Maybe the Lomutils can't work correctly in winn7 x64. But I'm not sure if the way to add a bounding box is correct. These ships ARE from EVE Online, and they are in real scale. Since the lom can't support complex materials, they look not as well as them in the EVE.

  19. I'v made this. But the aircraft and AAM can go through it. Rockets, guns and bombs can hit it.
  20. I have a "%1 is not a valid Win32 application" problem in the x64 game. I have the DX runtime, video card drivers and all system updates installed. My system is Win7 enterprise x64. Video Card is NVIDIA GTX460. The beta3 has the same problem, but the the error is on "edTerrain.dll" Everything is ok in beta & beta2, as well as the x86 game.
