@LucShep Fantastic work in explaining your changes and settings. I was using program specific settings for DCS but they weren't what you had. I tried them, unfortunately no improvement, but I appreciate all the time you put in answering some rando on the internet. how do I go back to an older version? I think that's where I am at. @Pavlin_33 Yeah you're right. in Caucus there seems to be no problem, although I haven't flown around a major city yet. and in Syria and PG it does smooth out when high or around not around a city or detailed objects. @jurinko I use openXR toolkit. I have heard that SteamVR as OpenXR was inferior but I can try to install it. That seems counter intuitive to me as I run an HP Reverb which uses Windows mixed reality naturally. honestly going back to reprojection does make it smooth, but I can't stand the choppiness of the pieces of the cockpit or areas of the aircraft that "rip" away while going fast over terrain. Frankly this wasn't needed in 2.8, so I don't understand why I have to go potato mode with all my graphics just to get similar frames to 2.8, it seems ridiculous and like a big step backward to get "dust and grass moving" effects when close to the ground in a helo, that honestly seems like the only improvement.

I've been trying to get back to 2.8 visuals since 2.9 came out and nothing seems to work. I keep getting stuttering frames and it makes flying near cities or looking at them up close nauseating. I can't tell you how many hours and things I've tried, nothing seems to work. I'm running way lower settings than 2.8 and its still hot garbage. I've been reading and following other peoples issues since release, none of them seems to fix my issue. I've tried, disabling certain p-cores, disabling e-cores, deleting the metashaders2 and fxo folders, followed many settings from youtubers, even motion reprojection isn't smooth. This does work. Thanks. I'm sad that I have to turn my settings down so much and use reprojection again. It doesn't seem right, but it is playable this way.

RTX4090, 13900K 5800Mhz, 64GB DDR5 5600, M.2 Install, Reverb G2 2.8 worked fantastic. 90fps settings pretty high, maybe medium shadows and water. but way better than it works now. I can't fly over a city without dropping down to 60 FPS and its very stuttery, makes me sick, unplayable. I've even tried putting all the settings back to before DLSS and I get nowhere near the frames I got in 2.8. Is this all really because rotorwash now makes the grass move? it seems like massive performance dump, and no matter what I do I can't get near what I used to get. I really hope there is something that can be done to fix this. Please help, I have no friends,(like Wags admitted in one of his last videos ). 4090 13900K 64GB 5600 DDR5 m.2 install. Reverb G2 I was getting 90FPS on 2.8 now I'm getting close to 60. I've tried... removing Metashader/FXO, reinstall DCS, disabling all open XR stuff, disabling e cores in bios, disabling certain CPU core affinity in taskman. I even went back and tried to set everything back to 2.8 settings as much as possible, still can get nearly the frames I used to. Any Ideas?

@baltic_dragon I am Struggling with M03, I found the same thing as @YMadDog in terms of frequency. I also can't for some reason get the ILS landing information to show up in the system (I don't know if its related to the frequency thing) I am fairly new, but I can do the ILS training 100%. Really appreciate any help anyone can give. I ended up passing the mission by crashing into the runway gently after using the map. Edit: I hadn't switched to waypoint 7!!! Fixed! Sorry and thanks.

Is there a system where if you fail, you have to go back to the previous mission? Everytime I go to play it seems as though I'm back on a previous mission that I've already played. Is there some campaign mechanic that I'm not familiar with?

I'm having a similar issue. 102 is hovering just off my right. When I take off her doesn't join me and therefore never gets to Dzhari. He just hovers and slowly drifts to the right. It's like the path is broken.

Same here. Border campaign, I used to play stable 2.56 and no issues. Now I'm 2.7 open beta, and can't seem to transport the heavier cargo container (2000lbs). It's like there is massive wind changes, it goes from calm to all over the place, then snap! Super frustrating.
