Indeed it is the PRF, the missile is LOBL so we know that it tracks on this frequency as well as proven by the document above.

oh, yes I can get that for you. One moment ill edit this message. I hope this is what youre looking for, anything else I can probably also find.

unfortunately I dont have any documents on hand explains this particular interaction between radar and RWR. best I can tell from asking people who know what they're talking about, as long as you have a monopulse missile seeker that tracks on normal radar pulses and there is no shift in frequency between tracking and firing, the RWR should be unable to distinguish the two. Im not sure if we have ever had this combination in DCS before, I really hope Aerges models this behavior. well some of the search modes in the F1 operate in the 2000hz range at low alt, and they all should if you have the missile selected. theoretically if an RWR detects these 2000hz emissions as a launch, then it should also treat a 2000hz track as a launch and trigger warnings for the hostile pilot, regardless if the missile has been shot or not.

R and S530F missiles are peculiar to DCS in that they are not guided by CW illumination, but rather by the steady pulse of the F1s radar. the S530F guides on the exact same 660hz frequency that the radar scans and tracks on. does this mean there will be no launch warning in the target aircraft when the S530F is fired? The S530F and R530F are both LOBL (lock on before launch) which means selecting the weapons will also set the frequency of the radar (to 2000hz in the case of the R530, and unchanged in the case of the S530F) and as previously stated, there is no CW illumination taking place for the hostile RWR to detect. Maybe someone is knowledgeable on the subject? is this behavior modeled in DCS or is it simplified to a level that the RWR just "knows" when a missile is in the air?

This one wont, F1M *MIGHT* but we will have a long ways to wait to find out. I personally wouldnt mind seeing on the F1M, at least until (if) we get an F1EQ
-
Not the EE, the Es for other countries are but not for Spain, it was used as a fighter only and 100% of its training missions were air to air, while 40% of the CE's training missions were air to ground and 60% air to air. None of the Spanish F1's had ground attack as anything more than a secondary role until the F1M.

from the F1M cockpit photos we have seen, there is a refueling probe, implying our F1M was a former F1EE
-
Im extremely happy with the choice to add the S530F, and best yet, we dont even have to wait until the F1M for it. This was a great decision by Aerges. btw that quote reminds me of a jaguar pilot who said "The only reason the jaguar is able to take-off is because the earth is round"

the BE Might have it, but if its realistic its only a fake probe. Either way, good practice!
-
Sad? It was better than my expectations! its slightly better than the R3R which is all I wanted. although anyone who hasnt used the R3R will have a bit to learn

This isnt a legacy missile, it was added to the game a month ago, completely new addition for the F1. but yes, we will see when it releases.
-
I agree, an F1 tanker would be really fun to mess around with! honestly it would be totally fine if it was its own unit if that simplifies its addition, tanking off a fighter would be a new experience

We edited the Magic 1 (its already in the game, just not on a jet yet) onto a different module so we could test its performance. it can get shot all aspect at about 1nm
-
If they really want to fix it they should also make it explode too early against targets in afterburner, rendering it ineffective. I jest, or am I?
-
Only the EdA was wired for them, and Spain didnt buy any missiles with the jets

well, the brochure for the jet lists the top speed as 794knots at sea level, almost 100knots faster than the manual recommends for safe operations. I hope we can approach this limit of 794 knots but I also hope they model in the consequences of doing so. and as for structural limits, half baked G limits really take away from a module. people are right to want realistic limits but wrong to be citing the F5's half baked modeling as realistic. dont believe me? take a full bomb load and pull back on the stick, 9-10Gs no problem. I hope Aerges (and Im sure they will) will take a better approach to their F1 than the F5 devs did with their "back-of-a-cigarette-box/oops I forgot external stores/ripping as low as 8G while clean" G limit modelling. its part of the reason Im looking forward to the F1. and as for the F5 im hoping the remaster fixes it, or at least completes it a bit more.

considering the 3E is already covered by RAZBAM, thats an easy pick with the F-104G. But to be honest my opinion is not in the selection we have here. I want Aerges to expand their F1 fleet to include F1s like the EQs and CT/CRs They have also expressed interest in this idea and I think it is a great one.
