  1. No issue at all in VR. You can see the hud and all its information displayed. It's a 2D issue I suppose.
  2. Thank for your replies. I have the Victory case 1 training, and the difference between him and Bio hit me (like you said all, 200ft are quiet something at this altitude. Bio wrote that multiple time during the Qualification when they arrive at the Constellation. I will continue with 800 feet. It's a nice discussion, too bad Victory or Bio aren't here
  3. Hello dear desk pilots, I'm reading the book of Dave "Bio" Baranek : TOPGUN days. In the book he saids the case 1 was done at 600ft & 450kts before the break. In the Sims, case 1 is at 800ft and 350kts. So the procedure has changed since the eighties or it's wrong in the game? best regards, fly safe.
  4. In the mission I have 3 F14 on catapult, and 1 E2 on cata 4. My plane park with 3 other F14, 6F18 parks, 4 F14 flying above. And one helico flying next to the carrier, one park at the ilot. Some static object and the crew at each catapult. No mod, both Hi res textures and shadow on medium.
  5. That's very strange cause on my rig (3070, 32Go RAM and Ryzen 5800x) on the F14 with secondary shadow, it's very smooth, better than before the update. And I'm in VR, so it should be worse. Perhaps you have a mod or something that borrow your FPS.
  6. Yeah same here, CV1. I use the traytool to boost the SS (1.5) and msaa x2 is a great compromise performanse/visual (no shimering). I'm at 45 ips stable with retroprojection. Before the patch with a full deck by day without secondary shadow I was at 25 ips. Mega boost!
  7. Your carrier have to sail headwind for the recovery. In this state, it will navigate against the wave, so pitching up and down.
  8. I agree with you, on my rig (5800x-32GoRam & RTX3070) the experience by night with secondary shadow on (a game changer in immersion) are excellent. Even with other FA18 and Tomcat AI being launch or parked. Texture high, shadow medium water high and cloud high. MSAA2. Completly smooth. Really great!
  9. The laser is on? Check on wpn page and utility. There is a Laser on L6 if I remember which have to be checked (full dot) Does your wpn system is Armed? The laser doesn't shoot if it's Safe.

I agree, as pilot the top place is even a little eliptic (oculus CV1) not cristal clear and as gunner, the botom place of the UI is strange, when I look in the cockpit the UI is doubled as if I cross my eyes, but when I lift my head up, to check the UI outside the cockpit it's ok. I would prefer a UI position like the "show control -Rctrl-enter" thing. this one is clear in VR.
  11. ryzen 5800x 32Go ram and RTX3070 Absolutely no issue in VR. Everything in High, msaa x2 ->oculus CV1 with SS 1.5 The IHADSS is great in VR.

    AH-64D VR

    The VR is excellent, first time I pop in the cockpit was like "OMG the IHADSS is awesome and so realistic, same for the NV google on the helmet. The cockpit is big! like in the A10. The fps are smooth. I'm playing on oculus cv1, msaa x2, ss 1.5 and everything on high. My rig: Ryzen 5800x, RTX3700, 32go RAM. Great work ED. I'm just struggling with binding all the button.... on my wartog it is horrible, the worst module for that. Not the fault of ED, it's like that IRL.
  13. I asked the question to Wags on youtube some month ago, he answered that it should be hard for the FPS to add real time lightning but perhaps in the futur... For todays CG, I don't think it's a big deal, and with a cursor perhaps you can limit that to a lighting drawing distance of 50 to 500m... I don't know... But yes it's a really big pain... The same on supercarrier, sad to see... Or they can implement taht to the fix light (airport/road/carrier..) and after that to dynamic light like missile/ bomb and so on.

    I understand this irl, like blue bomb. But in simulator, you can just set the météo and time to fly in the dark I suppose you already do that if you are flying plane on IFR. It's like the blue bomb, when I trained myself on A10 or FA18, I never pick them up, It's virtual so blowing some stuff is at least more enjoyable and visible than a little white smoke.
  15. I want to see a man hit by a APKWS ! (no, it will be quiet disturbing for me.. a water melon at least !) Personnaly I'm not fan of this full helmet no hud use in plane like F35... they have big issue with canon aiming with this. THe runway in the hud is already a great things in ifr with the M2000. I suppose I'm too old for this sh*t

  17. Hello dear Pilots and Rios, I checked with the searching tool without finding an answer so I'm here. I didn't find a training mission on the lantirn use in the module files. And I don't find neither a Lantirn training mission in the user files. It seems quiet fun to use an old pods and I would be happy to find a descriptive mission like "how to use the awg9 for Rio, cold start for Rio, etc... Is there somethink like that somewhere? Is it scheduled by heatblur? If not, how could I learn it to use, I play in VR so it's not quiet easy to let a video play on my Ipad and put on and off my helmet to check what I have to do...   20. I hope this will not pollute this thread, but is there any ED announces about rain drop in VR? I mean, in 2D it's super realistic with big drops which slide on canopy. In VR it's small dropplets which disapear quickly and doesn't move. I don't know how it is in Reverb, but in CV1 I cannot see the rain drop moving from "the hud" to the back of the canopy like in 2D when moving forward. Even if I stick my head on the HUD. So is it something cause of low definition VR headset or is it something due to a DCS VR setting which cannot change? PS: I tried with several plane, F18-A10C-F14-P51-SU27,etc... Overcast and rain 1 & 2.
  21. I had this issue with my I7 4770K. Now I have a Ryzen 5800x and I have no problem. I would'nt suppose the game was so CPU related. But even in VR it's smoother now, now FPS drop when I drop multiple cannister bombs.
  22. The mirror are in fact no mirroring When you go near, your "reflect" go back and same in reverse. And I don't know why but il VR the clouds are more beautiful in the mirror.
  23. Personnaly with my rigs it works well. It's true that the clouds are more detailled in the mirror that outside. And put the shadow on High and SSAO works on clouds. I'm always at 45 fps now, which is better than in 2.5. But in VR with the CV1 even with msaax2 and SS at 1.5, the clouds are a bit wash if the layer is thin. There are not super detailled like the 2D screen but I suppose it's because I don't have the sharpening definition of a reverb (big screendoor effect on CV1) RYZEN 5800x, 32Gb DDr4 3600mhz, SSD and RTX3070
