  2. While I love that early era of aviation I have to agree. DCS is a clusterbunch of silos with little connecting pieces. It is already missing density in its most fleshed out scenario around the 80s/90s. In my opinion the game needs a dynamic campaign the most so one can really bring all these gems into action. I wouldn’t rule out a WW1 scenario but just a couple of planes wouldn’t cut it — the same way as WW2, Korea and such don’t really come to live. Plus: rise of flight is a relatively decent WW1 game out there
  3. Hello! This mod is absolutely fantastic and my top favourite at the moment! Can‘t wait to see more functions coming live. Now here‘s my request: could you guys by any chance do the steps to have this mod work in Liberation? This would allow us to use this amazing mod in a full campaign…?

I just stumbled across this here: https://www.flightglobal.com/angola-awards-life-extension-contract-for-mig-23ml-fleet/59655.article It sounds like the 23-98 upgrade in fact went into production! Not the scale of the 21-93 / Bison but at least one Air Force with 18 MiG-23MLs! That would be in line with the rumours about Angolan MiG-23s carrying R-27 Missiles. Interesting! Although by the sounds of it is seems like the most basic package 23-98-3
  6. Now I have to ask another stupi question: in the intro video the author states that linking textures is very easy but his model also appears without textures after the export. Now: given I do see the correct textures in blender applied - and there seem to be multiple in the model I try to convert into DCS… how do I set them up for the EDM?

  8. Yes I simply removed the hierarchy. I think it did the trick but since I messed up the model while trying to rotate it and change the position I am not 100% sure…. I had to change the position as it didn’t fit into the cockpit slot in DCS. Next time I will try to rotate and position it first before I do all the modifications needed to export the model Thank you very much - I didn’t know… and it will speed up the second attempt for sure! If I can handle the objects with missing material in same way would cut the editing really short. Btw. Is there also a simple trick to rotate the object without moving some parts out of place (as if they rotate around a different axis…)?

  11. Was wondering as well why the wings fall off pretty easy when doing slightly more dynamic instant turns. Does anyone know if the current behaviour is in fact correct and that the plane has to be handled with that much care?
  12. - well… „try“ is too much… I accidentally linked it to the armature (the model has hundreds of parts..)
