  1. After selecting AG guns i seem to be stuck there. I tried a bunch of buttons including Auto Acq, Boat and Coolie, pressing both long and short but i didn't manage to escape guns mode. There's also no hint in the Manual. Have you found a way?
  2. If you can get stuck at "PP REQ" then yes? Wouldn't be the first time a feature makes it to production the last second and then there's still old information out. Might be interesting to see how the Alignment and Alert options relate to this.
  3. You can choose to just not buy Early Access modules. They are not supposed to be a finished product. It's a work in progress at every point before the full release and even after that dcs core additions and new api's may enable some additional features in the future. With the new two weeks trial you can even evaluate yourself if the simulation accuracy is to your liking or not - for free. I don't think there is any bad in developers releasing early builds to support their work on the modules. If you think your time investment deserves a more final version you will have to be patient and wait for full release.
  4. This is the epitomy of 'whatever, just do it!' My 2c though: Vietnam era jets are on the rush forward, so any of these would be a good addition Same goes for italian aircraft (see tonka, ef2k, MB-339) F-104 fits the same timeframe and airforces of the already announced G.91 so +1 here 104 and 102 fit a Fulda gap scenario and would be greatly supported by many I have no idea how the korean war era early jets will be percieved but the announcment of A-1H is a step in the right direction and there are many possibilities here (i know it's not a jet but the timeframe fits roughly) I don't know much about the Warbird community but i always found them to be a lot less used than they should be Modern aircraft (i'm talking post 1980) usually have the largest customer base, because modern meta, jak-130 would be a nice full fidelity addition to redfor assets For myself i figured any of the century fighters preferrably f-105, but in the end it really doesn't matter. They are all wonderful aircraft as long as you do it well
  5. @okopanja https://www.airforcemag.com/article/0791weasels/ They don't state anything explicitly but they were definetly tasked with finding and destroying sams and search radar
  6. Hello, i want to start a general discussion about a redesign of the Rearming menu. I don't think it's outdated, but ux definetly suffered with the addition of more weapons. I would like to encourage a discussion on how a weapons loadout menu could be designed more elegantly to reduce cluttered dropdown menus, maybe have more extentable menus like Bomb > Mk-82 - 500lb bomb > 3x on TER-9A Rockets > 2.75" Hydra > 19x M151 HE I'm happy with how it works on fighters with limited options like F-86 or MiG-21 but i find it exhausting to search through 30+ options of bombs on the F-18 only to take the wrong one. Especially because the Rack is named first. Easiest would be if they were sorted by guidance, then size and if the weapon name was before the rack name as in '3x Mk-82 - 500lb bomb on TER-9A' instead of 'TER-9A with 3x Mk-82 - 500lb bomb' Also i thought of the modern multirole tasking that oftenly required asymmetrical loadouts. Maybe the rearming menu could indicate how well the aircrafts is balanced in weight (and in drag?). Having a general idea of your balance could help to make the aircraft more stable through refining the position of the load or installing appropriate counterweights. This also kinda plays into the Hercules announcement and how we are going to balance different size and weight stores with our current system. It's just small implementations but with an impact on the greater picture of modernizing the core game.
  7. I find that i can stabilise the roll by trimming rudder about half a dot left, but this results in slip being off. Based on that i don't think slip is the problem in the first place but center of weight being off. Ball with rudder Trim 0 and rudder Trim -0.5
  8. It took me 1 min of research to find out that 23rd TFS did exactly this mission with F-16C out of Turkey during desert storm. Although they mostly knew the position they still had to verify every threat and as EWR provides a lot of SA they were targeted early on which actually put them under lots of SAM pressure. This did not only included old soviet stuff but also more modern french exports. They did use F-4G and F-16C but they served the same purpose of deteriorating their SAM network and taking out high value EW assets.
  9. Sadly, i don't have a degree in radio wave technology. But if my research is correct, the monopulse seeker doesn't care wether the measured signal is pulsed or continouus. At least, thats what online sources suggest. If you know otherwise, please let me know! There is not much information on this topic, that's not hidden behind some crazy formula.
  10. We know the 95-GR was only produced 2 years after production started on the Aim-7F. Can we get any information on how these early variants were equipped? My initial research was lead by the fact that our later tomcats have the SP PD switch for pulse-doppler or cw use with Aim-7F and M. The F was only released into production by 1975. Our late 135 variant probably came from the factory with this switch and the ability to use aim-7F and possibly M to its full potential, but i cannot say the same for the 95. Because it's such an unnessecary switch, there is not a lot of information on the internet and most of that even assuptions.
  12. @cmbaviator The Enigma Cold War Server for example will put the F1 in an according time frame. On Blue it will fight against mig-21/19 and on Red against F-5/Viggen. Which i think are all a good match. The F1 will find it's place in terms of cost and performance. There is no 4th gen fighter in this server.
  13. Or somehow they broke it with one update, surely they wouldn't have released it this way. But i could very well be wrong. We'll see what ED thinks this time.
  14. I think this is a problem about AI interaction with ED's RWR. Like i said what i think is happening is the following: The AI does not have a standard capability for TWS launches so they replaced this with multiple STT locks (Quote: "They never launch in TWS"). But with a caviat: They told the RWR to only show nails (by code don't ask me how). Somehow this information on "staying silent" did not make it to the RWRs you mentioned (10/16/18). Keep in mind i am not an ED dev and only verbalising what i see and hear. I see, if we assume "correct as is" means "we ignore this thread" it makes sense to open a second one. I was rambling because you did not throughly elaborate on neither the actual issue you are facing nor the results of our discussion in the earlier thread a few days ago and just left that up for ED staff to figure out. I think we should make it as easy for them as possible to analyze and solve the issue. But I still want to apologize for my rudeness, went a bit ahead of myself.
  15. You should only see the F-14 as search radar so "nails 14" The featured Bug report used AI Tomcats to simulate an launch. Those always use STT, which allow to detected a phoenix launch This is an AI issue not a Tomcat TWS issue. Player TWS launches will not give a launch warning. I would assume AI just doesn't have a system like TWS and it was substituted with STT launches. You even cited your own thread dude, just read what we wrote in there it's not that hard. Why open the can of worms again? We already know the issue and if you reported it correctly it might get changed but you literally posted the same thing not even mentioning the results of our discussion. Like what do you expect man?
