  1. I'm based in the UK, been flying DCS for a couple of years fairly regularly and looking for a group to fly with a couple of times a week on average, depending on work and other real-life commitments. I like to try and fly "properly" but have fun. I've got the F/A-18, F-16 and A-10C II with Apache preordered and I have all the modern terrain modules. Most proficient with the Hornet, less so with the Viper but hardly tried the A-10C yet. Also have some of the WW2 stuff but not had a chance to look at those yet either.
  2. Sounds just like what I'm looking for. Do we just join the Discord voice channel and the DCS server and get flying, or...?
  3. I got two of those emails as well, same IP as listed above.
  4. @ Aeroscout: Well since it's already been "named and shamed", yes, that's the same IP given in both my emails. Sorry to start a new thread on this, I'll add a "me too" post to the other one, please feel free to kill this one. Cheers 8
  5. Someone tried to hack my forum profile today As the title suggests, I received 2 emails today telling me that my account had been locked for 15 minutes because someone had tried to log in as me 5 times with the wrong password. Admins/mods, I'll happily provide the IP address given in the email by PM (it was the same both times). On the plus side, it did make me think I should reinstall LockOn again :) To whoever was trying to get into my profile, go get a life man.
  6. Sorry, nevermind. was being a n00b :)
  7. Hi all, Been away from LO for a bit, decided to come back this evening, saw 1.12a update so grabbed that. Installed off my original LO1.0 English disc, installed the FC addon (eng download version) then slapped 1.12a on and now starfarts is telling me: Tried searching on that error message (the UnableParse bit) but no joy. WTF, over? EDIT: Sorry, should have pointed out, i meant no way to sort this without having to contact support? I'm on XP x64 if that's relevant...
  8. when i play the clip i can't see any video, just hear the audio and media player displays the visualisations for the audio... tried Video Lan Client as well, no joy... I also have the Cole2k media codec pack installed. Anyone shed any light on exactly what codec is needed to display the video?
  9. thx guys... i was under the impression all DLL files had to be registered so first time round I wrote it off when the file wouldn't register... :) does work if you just drop the file into windows\system32, cheers Ice
  10. nice one, just asked for some co-ords and got a couple of extra missions to try! Cheers folks! :)
  11. Apparently the DLL mentioned (ATL71.DLL) is part of a download that was once available from Microsoft, called the "ATL Module for Windows". Anyone know what this is and if it can still be got from somewhere?
  12. Tried that as well, from a few sites. Just get an error when registering the DLL, something about "could not register the DLL because the entry point was not found" or similar... didn't seem to help LOMAN either...
  13. i reinstalled XP recently. I had an older LOMAN beta working fine on the old XP install but when i reinstalled a couple of weeks ago and put LOMAN on it's started giving me that error. Skypat if you read this please can you tell us what to download to get the DLL mentioned above? TIA 8bit
  14. nice find, any chance you could post rough lats and longs? :)
  15. what did you do to fix the error? I'm getting the same message :(
  16. many thanks ruggbutt, i'll get that installed and leech a few LOMAC download sites tonight ;) Cheers! 8bit
  17. I've been a bit out of the game lately so i'm a bit out of touch withthe LOMAC 1.1 stuff. Have done some searching on these forums but I'm still kinda confused can someone answer some dumb questions? :) - LOMAN - I gather Skypat has stopped developing a 1.1 compatible version of LOMAN. That said I read something about getting LOMAN 3.3 in a GTR manager download, and there's this patch from TekaTeka which apparently enables the last official LOMAN (2.1 IIRC) to work properly with LO:FC. Should I be using the 3.3 in this GTR download or 2.1 with TekaTeka's patch? I heard something about mods installed onto 1.1 slowing the game because they don't get installed in the CDDS, is that correct? What's my best option here? - I heard removing mods applied with LOMAN (not sure which version) apparently break the LO/FC install is that right? - Is there a list of 1.1 compatible mods anywhere? cheers 8bit (formerly gamelan from the ubi.com LOMAC forums)
  18. i do have a paypal account but the cart page doesnt ask me to log in. I click "Secure Checkout" and immediately get an error message. paypal are a waste of space as far as i'm concerned...
  19. neither response helps me tho. I can't even get as far as logging into paypal to buy the damn thing. ED, I realise one person's opinion among many isn't that significant but I'm really not impressed with this. I want to buy your product but yet you've provided us with a rubbish system for doing so!
  20. Hi All, OK I did this - opened browser and went to http://www.lockon.ru - logged in to http://www.lockon.ru - clicked the link "The LockOn: Flaming Cliffs is available!" - clicked the "Add to cart PayPal" button near the top of the page - read the licence blurb, scrolled down and clicked the "Accept" button Now the PayPal cart window appears and I see "LOCK ON 1.1: Flaming Cliffs" in the item column with the serial number (i assume thats what it is) below. I click "Secure Checkout" thinking thats where I get to pay for my download but i get a screen which says "The recipient of this shopping cart link is not an approved shopping cart user. Please review your selection and try again." Have I done something wrong or is paypal broken? So far not very impressed with the paypal method, I've never liked PayPal in the first place, strongly recommend ED don't use them if they're going to do future self-published releases...
  21. I don't mind whether it comes on CD or as download but I think both should be offered as options since not everyone has broadband and I guess not everyone has a CD burner drive. HOWEVER - and this point will decide whether or not I actually BUY Flaming Cliffs - I would like to see another method of payment other than PayPal. I don't trust PayPal any further than I could throw their server farm and will never, ever give them my credit or debit card details (read http://paypalsucks.com for any number of reasons why). Ideally I'd like to see a distribution deal set up with an online reseller who deals with simulation software and equipment and would be happy to pay a few extra Euros to buy through this route but if PayPal is the only option for payment I'm afraid I for one will not purchase FC.
