  1. Right now I'd just be happy if the A-10C got the same datalink items coming to the Viper and Hornet but so far crickets.
  2. For one "the aircraft didn't even "know" there was a TGP there." isn't true in the A-10A+ the jet did know it was there, it wasn't just toss a TGP on the station using the same wiring and old TV screen the A model had for the maverick, the cockpit had a new TV and interface that replaced the old TV screen. I can't find any pictures of it anymore to show you though.
  3. Said it in the original post, they are A-10A+ (plus) models. Basically an upgrade the Guard and AF reserve did prior to the A-10C upgrade. Not completely accurate but close. The “plus” upgrade wasn’t as simple as you put it. “The A-10A+ program leverages BAE’s smart color displays, which were installed as upgrades in a number of ANG and Reserve aircraft during 2006 to provide moving map displays et. al. Under A-10A+, the same SADL(Situational Awareness Data Link) radios used by the A-10Cs are inserted to receive information re: the position of friendly forces, and that information is routed through the smart color display into the pilot’s Head Up Display (HUD) for viewing.” https://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/kicked-up-hogs-the-a-10a-program-04217/
  4. Crazy to think the v303 FG is one year old, lots of work has gone into establishing a training program that is challenging to our members but not over the top. The group is closing out our Summer 2023 deployment to Jordan and will be focusing on B-Course and Mission Qualification Training (MQT) for some of our current students and opening the doors to new pilots. Our next scheduled deployment for Operation Hedge of Protection is 1 January. Although as previously mentioned our training focus the next few months is B-Course and MQT in December we will be starting our deployment spin up training with each squadron training on specific mission sets in anticipation of deployment taskings. To keep things interesting we break up the routine of training with the Group by going on temporary duty (TDY) to Andersen every few months. We are also going to have our internal Hawgsmoke completion for the A-10C and early next year Gunsmoke, which will be a group wide competition pitting A-10C, F-16C, and F-15E pilots against each other for bombing and gun employment bragging rights. The v303 FG has two dedicated servers up 24/7. Our training dedicated server always has our NTTR or Guam training maps running. Dedicated Server 2 is our combat mission server, when not deployed this server is used for application sorties and other one off missions (i.e. free flight tour of a new map when released). The v303 FG prides itself on using real world procedures within DCS World but not taking ourselves overly serious aka "relaxed realism." We have our Manuals, In-Flight guides, training programs, etc. but our main focus is establishing friendships within the Group and letting people know it's okay to make mistakes, this is a hobby we aren't trying to LARP as USAF pilots. Many of us have or currently are serving in the US military, we may not be pilots but we have enough structure in our life so we try to maintain a healthy balance between realism and enjoyment. We have pilots within the group that have been flying together for over 10 years, these bonds are in my opinion what make the v303 FG special. We are currently recruiting A-10C and F-16C pilots for Class 23-01. Our goal is to open recruitment up for F-15E pilots September 15th, as soon as we have our initial Surface Attack (SA) and Night Surface Attack (NSA) courses finalized. Having been part of Command Staff in other virtual organizations and being a founding member of another I am very aware members of the DCS Worlds multiplayer community have lots of options. Stop by and say hi on our Discord and if you're interested drop an application on our website. If the v303 FG is not for you we wish you the best of luck in your search for community within the DCS World MP community. There are some outstanding groups within this community with a legacy we hope to someday share. Attack! Snoopy
  5. Latest version in-sim pictures. IT is almost like the colors are inverted. Interior of the HAS should be white and eternal green. null null
  6. @MAESTR0 Looks like in the latest update HAS external colors on india and hotel loops are back to what they were when the map was originally released (whitish). They should be green. Also the ceiling on the inside of the HAS should be white. Picture's attached .null null
  7. Nope they carried three picture are from 2003 Here are some pictures I was sent from a friend who deployed...all are from 2003 and are A-10A plus models.
  8. Something additionally to consider when it comes to the TGP in 03…the guard and reserve could carry them because they upgraded to A-10A+ and active duty didn’t. The TGP could only be carried on station 9. https://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/kicked-up-hogs-the-a-10a-program-04217/ The first C model didn’t fly until 2005. https://www.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/135132/c-model-a-10-takes-first-flight/ I’ll dig through some old pictures from back then and upload sometime this weekend.
  9. Don’t recall doing it in Afghanistan but we did over Syria/Iraq starting in 2015.
  10. I’m no longer a member of the 476th and not sure they still have this checklist in their public downloads section.
  11. because the only A-10c’s that can are in testing for suite 11 which is a much later suite than ED simulators (although they aren’t simulating any pure suite).
  12. Snoopy

    Wheel chocks

that’s because all the emergency brake handle does is switch to the emergency accumulator it doesn’t apply the brakes.
  13. Yeah I know exactly how a FCF goes
  14. Actually they were used extensively by both the 74th and 75th at Moody until around 2013 then we shipped them off and have been litening only since. The jet can still carry the sniper but I haven’t seen one loaded on an A-10 in about 10 years.
  15. Hopefully the eventual “DTC” and planning software will include setting up HMCS profiles!
  16. LOL now that's what we need to add to good old Bitching Betty!
  17. The real aircraft doesn't do it so shouldn't be in the DCS versions IMO.
  18. Actually what he said is they are considering adding it later (although it’s the TAD not TADS in the A-10C) Which is exactly why I wish ED wouldn’t say things like that (similarly to when they initially mentioned updated TAD and 184 long in a newsletter January 2021). DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer The Hawg is already nearly complete, but we do plan to deliver some additional features in 2021 that include the ARC-210 radio, updates to the Tactical Awareness Display (TAD), changes to optically guided Maverick slewing, and the long version of the AN/ALQ-184 ECM pod.
