They didn't build new HASs for the A-10s but thanks for playing LOL Correct and thanks for the picture. Marked as correct as is so guess we're stuck with what we got.

Yeah a quick google earth view and it’s easy to tell which ones are larger

fixed internally Clarification on A-10 Use at Spangdahlem
Snoopy posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
@MAESTR0 Not sure about other bases (haven't checked them yet) but Spang has the incorrect HAS model and can't fit A-10s and you can't set any of the ramp locations for AI A-10s to start from (glad we have a work around for player/client aicraft). They should use the same model as the hotel and india loop at Incirlik AB that A-10s can fit in. Today's update Kandahar AB ILS still missing
-
Appreciate the update!
-
Thanks for the clarification. @NineLine and I have talked a lot over the years about what is missing/incorrect. Biggest thing IMO is since we get some data over a "gateway" for AI aircraft (like the F-16C and F/A-18C) at a minimum the same information for client aircraft would be a great first step.
-
What do you mean is everything there? Those two items you mentioned are still issues but also if you look at the posts I linked above you'll see @BIGNEWY and/or @NineLine basically said updates (aka the gateway) are currently planned.
-
Based on both of these threads I wouldn't hold my breath for any updates to the A-10C II's network/datalink.
-
This!!! If I'm right or wrong (again just going on what I have experienced over the years) but like @ASAP likes to point out I'm "just a crew chief" how does engine thrust at idle being to low to move the jet on the ground impact the effectiveness and fun of a combat simulator? IMO is more important to have more fleshed out systems that actually matter in combat. If they're going to fix anything with the engines how about the damaged/windmilling engine still producing 3000 PSI which is 100% incorrect.
-
Sure you can but how many A-10s have you been around connected on a headset to the pilot with chalks pulled and the pilot saying he's taking his feet of the breaks for a few seconds to stretch his legs? Also did you even read my post a few up from your post or are you once again just trying to counter what I say?
-
That's my experience but I'll also say the the slope of the ramp, aircraft weight, wind, and other factors it probably could. In addition to the TAD being more fleshed out that symbology should be included in the HMCS as well (and truthfully a lot of it in the TGP and HUD). Maybe with ED going the "make assumptions off of youtube videos and other website info" for the F-35 we can start to see these things in the A-10C since you can find some of that stuff on various websites not behind a CAC wall.

MWS with IR SAMs and hit tottally lacking in feel
Snoopy replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer
Don't think I (or anyone else) said anything that can’t be seen by looking visually at an A-10 but thanks for the comment. LOL -
MWS with IR SAMs and hit tottally lacking in feel
Snoopy replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer
Actually that's not 100% accurate one of the MWS sensors points directly down and the sensors on the wingtip are at an angle that points down slightly. -
That's disappointing, I remember a statement previously that it was being looked at or was planned for the future (could be misremembering though). Kinda takes away a big selling point IMO for modern aircraft interaction in MP and like Wing mentioned frustrating when we can see basic symbology from AI F-16s (and F/A-18s). Hopefully it happens eventually, having the gateway modeled would greatly increase MP situational awareness.
-
Now yes (thankfully), originally no.
-
That would be great but I think it's wishful thinking. My guess lots of Iraq, some North East Afghanistan, C-130J, another year the Heatblur A-6 AI asset is shown, some WWII stuff (which doesn't interest me personally) and maybe something on the Germany or Balkan map.
-
Agreed (and the update to the TAD & missing HMCS symbology). From the perspective of DCS adding OBOGS has zero impact I don't see anyone flying long enough to go through 5 liters of LOX LOL.

Video of tent city at Al Jaber, 1996...

Both bases have been key to historical and current operations in the region. Ahmed Al Jaber AB, Kuwait....key base for Operation Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, Inherent Resolve, and many other War on Terror operations. https://www.afcent.af.mil/Units/386th-Air-Expeditionary-Wing/News/Tag/149339/ahmed-al-jaber-air-base/ https://nara.getarchive.net/topics/al+jaber+air+base+kuwait https://www.afcent.af.mil/Units/407th-Air-Expeditionary-Group/Fact-Sheets/Article/1884342/332nd-air-expeditionary-wing-fact-sheet/ Al Jaber was the scene of heavy U.S. bombing during the Gulf War. Iraqi forces took the base and occupied it until the last days of the war. https://irp.fas.org/imint/gwaps_02.htm Operation Southern Watch used by A-10s assigned for CSAR if any US assets went down in Southern Iraq. F-117s were deployed to the base in 1996 when Saddam threatened Kuwait (personally deployed there twice in 1995 & 1996). Operation Iraqi Freedom Operation Inherent Resolve, base used to launch strikes against ISIS (was scheduled to deploy there in 2015 until last minute change to go to Incirlik) Al Udeid AB, Qatar....key base for the War on Terror and other operations home of the Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) that "controls" air operations across the region. https://www.afcent.af.mil/About/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/217803/combined-air-operations-center-caoc/ https://www.afcent.af.mil/Units/379th-Air-Expeditionary-Wing/ Serves as logistics, command, and other items for US Central Command. Played a role in every operation since War on Terror started. Home of US Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC)

You and me both...out of all the missing TAD & HMCS symbology having this added to both would be great!

Thanks @BIGNEWY after two repairs of DCS it's working now. PS I tried to upload my dcs.log file in that post but got a message that the log was to big to upload.

Started happening to me today and my laptop is not overclocked. Zero issues until today, on the latest build. Game crashes and no crash log is created. No issues in SP

Northern Israel / Southern Lebanon detail removed
Snoopy replied to Flying Toaster's topic in Bugs and Problems
Everyone saw the overlap from day one and I remember people saying both Syria and Sinai should one map. IMO that would be the best solution but don’t see that happening.
