  1. It does not show in the release notes, but the 25 de Mayo now shows in the Mission Editor, so the workaround which broke the integrity checks is no longer needed (gets replaced by the patch install) - thanks RAZBAM!
  2. I have been thinking of a project along the same lines Creating AI missions with multiple assets and complexity, capturing the DCS settings as well as computer configuration, and reporting the results automatically to an online repository. I have worked on similar industry graphics benchmarks many years ago so this project is on my list for this year. -Pablo
  3. Is it possible to control airplane type specific settings through scripting, such as which weapon station is used for an A-10, broadcasting the target, latching on to a target from another plane, etc? If so, what is the object that exposes these properties and which are the classes representing the different planes to cast this object as? Thanks!
  4. @baltic_dragonEven with the latest update to DCS, 2.8.2.35759 , after orbiting waypoint 3, BIFF is still stuck on formation so there is no way to get on his six and complete the mission. Also, the passing Apex call still comes early. -Pablo
  5. there is nothing in the release notes about OpenXR - that is a very serious miss in your release process. many people use other SteamVR based apps with DCS, like VRKneeboard and fpsVR, which are now broken (updating to the Beta of VRK gets it back) as when SteamVR launches it shuts down DCS (DCS needs to be started from outside Steam now). I have heard from folks that have headsets which depend on SteamVR, dont have WMR support as far as they know, what is the workaround?
  6. Eagle Dynamics devs, Thanks for the OpenXR support but you should have added a callout in the release notes - and at the very top, as it was a major change for Steam users I found that I need to launch DCS directly, not from Steam, for things to work, and if I launch anything that triggers SteamVR (like VRK) then DCS shuts down For folks using VRK - check on their Discord channel and install version 2.0 builds (in Beta) so you can have the kneeboard in VR DCS Open Beta 2.8.2.35632
  7. @baltic_dragon definitely something wrong with the triggers - I get the "switch to departure" and "passing Apex" messages while I am still on the runway taking off, and then at the third waypoint, after orbiting, I get the message to go trail on BIFF but he is trying to keep formation on me so we end up in this big circle - no way to complete the campaign now. -Pablo
  8. DCS 2.8.1.34667.2 After passing waypoint 3, BIFF asks to get in formation behind him - but it seems like something went wrong with the AI and his plane is trying to keep formation with me, so there is no way to get behind him - is anyone else running into the same issue with this build? Thanks, -Pablo
  9. Running DCS 2.8.1.34437 In the written message that appears on the top left as Lotus speaks there is some text between brackets to the effect of "no text has changed here" - she does not speak this and it doesnt show in the text prompt on the right - looks like a copy/paste error from a document review the flight plan has waypoint 63B but this should be M63B - I have been entering the flight plans up to now, did not realize you had it pre-programmed I would recommend that you have people enter their flight plans after the first couple of missions to ensure that they are proficient in doing so I think there was one more discrepancy in terms of the instructions from Lotus and the values, I will run the mission again and record it to check later. Thanks for the campaign, I recommend it to everyone that is learning the A-10. -Pablo
  10. I have looked through the list of controls in the UI and I cant find which one I should bind a button to in order to open/close the air to air refueling door. I browsed through all "fuel", "receiver","rcvr", "door", etc items and I cant find it. Thanks! -Pablo
  11. @MAXsenna yeah getting into MP now so I don't want everything I say to go out on the radio. I know I can bypass Vaicom and get just VA to listen when pressing the middle button, but I would like to get Vaicom functionality directly as well, without having to duplicate setting radios etc in VA. Just want to make sure that my expectations of how it is supposed to work is correct and that others got it to work. I will report back if I figure it out. -Pablo
  12. Just want to check that I understood the instructions in the manual, as I am not getting Vaicom or chained VA profile commands to execute through TX6. If I bind a button to TX6, I should be able to trigger Vaicom (and daisy chained VA) commands without transmitting over the radio, correct? Just want to make sure this is what is supposed to happen, so I spend more time debugging this. Also, for some reason the joystick don't show up as an option for binding, even though TX1-TX4 are bound to the joystick, which is why I am experimenting with the mouse's middle button right now, but if it works would like to use the joystick. Thanks, -Pablo
  13. When building missions with ships, it is fairly easy to forget to attach a static asset to an unit (like when placing crew and equipment on a carrier), which results on the asset not showing up. Static assets over water, other than ships, don't make a lot of sense, so it would be helpful for the Mission Editor to check and flag this for the user. The Mission Editor should bring this to the attention of the user (and perhaps have this an option to toggle this on/off), perhaps by doing a sanity check before saving.
  14. I wonder if a workaround is as simple as setting a shallow Z value for the shapes that represent the shadows so that they get occluded...
  15. DCS Open Beta 2.7.15.26783 With a Supercarrier carrier, use the LSO or catapult view, move the camera so that the sun and the deck crew are in front, and you can see the crew casting shadows on the water through the body of the carrier
