  1. I'm available if anybody needs somebody with a Midwestern twang. I fly commercially (Airbus Captain) so if you need somebody to ramble off something incoherent or a "meow" for your Guard listening pleasure, I would be happy to help out. Also...the only accents I can pull off is Yooper or North Dakotan eh
  2. So a bit of an update. I am rebuilding the missions removing the walking pilot and the F4. I am keeping the Intruder. That plane is too sexy and too iconic for the era to remove it. Also I learned ALOT about mission building toward the end of the creation period and the beginning of chapter two so I'm cleaning up the triggers and scripts as well.
  3. Hi Tonker, Thanks for your input on the campaign. I get that most people tend to shy away from mods. I actually had removed a couple (F-100 and 105) from the campaign because I realized how much downloading everything involved. And of the ones that are left, the SH3 is there for the immersion factor around the boat and the A6 as an attempt to bring some variety to the world around you and still stay in the time frame I was targeting in and still operate with the A4 in a realistic scenario. I chose the Syria map because I kind of had a story line in mind when I started and this region just fit it perfectly. Especially after the last few updates ramped up performance on that map. Western Turkey is just gorgeous to fly through. I did consider packaging everything into one massive download but the User Files page didn't support a file that large. I did eventually gravitate toward a dropbox to host it on as I fixed mission files because the campaign itself then got to big to reupload. I'm currently on a little bit of a hiatus. My only time to actually dive into DCS is when I'm out on work trips (I'm an airline pilot). When I'm home I'm quite busy with grandkids and taking care of our property. I just upgraded to captain and have been off for a while waiting for the next step in the upgrade process. Hopefully back to work soon and back at the campaign. I'll try snagging some more screenshots.
  4. Slight pause on my DCS life for a couple weeks. I just finsihed Captain upgrade class at my airline and I'm home now mowing through a rather lengthy honey-do list.
  5. I'm pretty sure it's working. I'll post the most most recent versions here shortly. Was having a wierd Ai glitch where they would abandon the flight plan due to something from AIRBOSS. I suspect because they were so far from the carrier something was pulling them back. Also...some other Ai glitch is causing the flight members to not release their weapons occasionally
  6. Crimeny. Ok, I think I know what may have happened with the refuel trigger. When I created the additional point for the mission start, I added a waypoint and deleted some other triggers to make the beginning flow better "deleting the call ops" and the initial saddle call. Well what I wound up doing was deleting the effect of the initial saddle call, and deleting the beginning of the second saddle call. So essentially, the flight would never go on to the refuel point. It's fixed now, but thank you for powering through all this mess. I had trouble with them releasing in my tests too. I honestly don't know what's happened to this mission. It had worked great until I did the work getting AIRBOSS to work then the wheels came off. I have an older copy Pre-AIRBOSS work but I made so many small changes to the mission after that I have no idea what all I had adjusted. That mission was alot of fun to design and really disappointed it took such a turn for you. I'm going to run the next mission tonight too to make sure there's no suprises....other than the on purpose ones. I'm going to see if something I did maybe fixed the full Alpha Strike mission then test out the Repo mission.
  7. I feel really bad that it's not working for you. I finally got one actually working for the flight in. Through the dozen or so runs I tested the AI actually only released their bombs on about half the runs so I'm wondering if something within the .miz itself is boogered up. I had been using previous missions from one to the next so all my static stuff and radio freqs were the same but I may have to start fresh since I'm having an issue now with a couple of the Chapter Two missions as well. This mission picks you up right before the spawn point for the other ai strikers so you'll have a couple laps in the hold to get your aircraft set up for the run which is about ten to fifteen minutes low level from coast to the range. Here are links for a track file showing it actually working and the revised mission. The track and miz were too big to attach here so I put dropbox links here. 8. And there was much rejoicing... nullSo something was up with AIRBOSS. I removed the flight from the AIRBOSS script and it worked just fine. I submited a plea to the MOOSE gurus to see if they are aware of anything that could be causing this. I also adjusted their formation back to Echelon left per the brief. When i was doing that last testing we were making the attack run so they had to be trail. So....This attached one worked. M14 - Alpha Strike - Final.miz
  9. ARrrrgh. Ok now it's done it for me. Ok. Time to go find a wall to beat my head against some more. I swear, corralling AI is just frustrating sometimes.
  10. Just plain wierd. There's a waypoint before where they turned but it was an altitude point en route. I wonder if just delete that point and try it again? II'm going to run it to just make sure I didn't mess something up the last time. If it works, I'll repost the miz I use as well as a trk and a tacview. Also...I am going to set you up with another one that's just prior to the strike package spawn that will put you past the point your flight turns around on you. I feel really bad you've gotten this far in the campaign and now it's giving you trouble. Oh also...the other strike packages won't spawn until you get closer to your hold point. Also also...I see you discovered you can take off from that intersection. I deliberately worked all the loads so that'd be possible. I liked the location on the map, but this airport just reeally needed better taxi ways.
  11. M14 - Alpha Strike - Final.mizYou wish is my command. Hopefully it's all sorted. I even got AIRBOSS working correctly. Hey how do you like that by the way? Anyway...hopefully you haven't run 15 yet....cuz...spoilers.
  12. So the mission itself is complete...I ran into a hiccup with the AIRBOSS script on the return to the carrier. Forgive me but I'm going to hold onto it one more day while I work this out. Even though the scripting is identical to the carqual mission, for some reason the Marshall controller won't recognize the rest of your flight coming in. Stupid AI....
  13. Ok made alot of changes to the mission. It is for sure working (see screenshot) I need to work out a couple other wrinkles I discovered and i"ll post a new version tonight.
  14. Got this sorted out as well...I had forgotten to rename the mission. I was always just taking the previous mission and adjusting as I was building so I could keep static units and radio presets without having to rebuild them every time. Thanks for the attention to detail!
