If you're putting it in the Saved Games folder, that would be C:\Users\yourmachinename\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\F-5E\liveryname
Thank you, tried that and it doesn't work

Sorry about this, but I don't know where to ask this question. I can't find the folder for putting skins in for the new F-5, can anyone help please?

Sorry Guy's, I should have said the Hurricane is an airframe that is loved by many and we (me) can imagine things that are not historically authentic, it's not important to us, we just play for fun. But I see peoples point and appreciate it.

I have wondered for years why DCS doesn't have a Hurricane either FF or AI !
Anyone care to comment why?

Great news. Thanks ED. Su25 is one of the most legendary aircraft - it needs a full module in DCS.
Yes, I started off FC with flying this jobby ! The A10 has nothing on this beast, a flying tank. I think this is a very smart move by ED as it showcases the quality of their standards to new players like my son who has get interested in DCS without having it FF which is a shame, but I understand the thinking behind the release.

Is there any plans for the L-39 (my personal favourite) to get the F-5 treatment?
Thank you

Again, I want to present the already circulating idea of having high fidelity asset packs. Make the AI models available for *everyone* but with low textures; high resolution textures are payware. I am almost certain that a lot of people would buy the HD AI packs, if priced correctly.
Of course, there is also an argument to be made that free asset packs boost sales of terrains and FF modules. I don't really see myself buying more Cold War planes as long as we don't have the units to go along with it (planes, ground vehicles, map assets). In a similar vein, I might be getting into helicopters (rudder pedals are on their way) but I am curious how the CAS experience will actually feel like regarding the fact that we have woefully little variation when it comes to infantry models.
I hope ED reads your post, it has merit. I bought the WWII asset pack several years ago and it was worth it. I think asset packs are a very good idea in bringing in stuff (not the best word) quicker than free AI units. As you say, if they are thought out properly and priced right, the incentive is there.

Hi Mizzy,
I doubt it. Heatblur promised a Draken AI as early as 2018, but it has not been seen yet after all this years:
Edit: actually it was announced late on 2017, here:
I had high hopes on a Draken user Mod that a group of Moders were developing, but unfortunately its progress stalled during 2024
... it showed great promise and the Group had previously delivered the Saab Sk60, a high quality Mod.
Hi Eduardo,
Hope things are good at your end. The Draken was featured in the 2025 video. Have a look.
Best wishes.

It was mentioned that HB were doing an AI model of the Draken, does this mean it's going to be in game soon?

Hi Mizzy,
we have more liveries coming soon. and we will release the template also.
You can not have both as the Remastered version directly replaces the older one.
thank you
Ahh right, there you go. Not a big deal as I just uninstall the Remaster so I can use my old skins.
Cheers
-
Firstly, I like the Remaster, there has been a lot of work put into the model and for £5 using airmiles, it's a steal. However, I have a large collection of skin jobs and I was expecting to still use the old model but I have to uninstall the new one to use the old skins.
Is there any way we can have both models please.

If you like the immersion, the F-15E is one of the best in cockpit sounds. Very realistic, not like Heatblur which goes the other way around with overexaggerated sounds.
You forgot to say, this is just your opinion and based on nothing but that.

Brilliant, the F-5 remastered after a very long wait lol.
Will the existing skin jobs fit the new model or are they now redundant?

Let us know ,who are that people that enjoy such news . They are few, you can count them using fingers on your arm ... By the way , about competition ... people will work hard trying to create nice skins for DCS,they will spend many hours : 2 -3-5 how much i dont know axactly , but a price for that is negligibly small - 100$ really !? What is the tax for 1 hour working of DCS skin creator ? Do in ED think all around dont understand what is this competition for - you want populate your product , wanna get commercial - then pay for that commensurable price
I really don't understand some people, how do you know how many people enjoy or not EDs Newsletters? Don't worry, I will answer this for you. You haven't got a clue so stop trying to speak for others, it's very ignorant to do so.

When buying you also agreed to the end user license:
Correct, the 'description' of a product is not legally linked to the licence agreement, they are separate. This is where some people mis- understand product description and EULAs as to what they agreed to.
As far as the 3rd Party product 'descriptions' are concerned in DCS, ED is not responsible.
An interesting article is here: https://www.theknowledgeacademy.com/blog/what-is-end-user-license-agreement/ EULAs are pretty much standard for software products because software Laws are also pretty much the same worldwide (based on US consumer Law) and not local to any one Country for obvious reasons.
ED are not under any obligation to offer a refund of any kind for the F15E under their EULA but they have given a store credit and I think this is a generous move in such circumstances. Remember, the product description does not hold up very well (if at all) as a legal argument for a refund.

Apologies, yes you are correct store credit not miles.
Awh bless, It should be me apologising, my post was directed at someone else who appeared to me spreading mis-information, not just about 'miles' but his (assumption) understanding of consumer rights and end user agreements. Anyway, it's a horrible situation but I see you are not going to be dragged down the rabbit hole. Best wishes.

Great they take money and refund in miles , not a great outcome if something wrong.
ED are not refunding in 'miles', they are refunding as a store credit to the same value as the module. If you read the opening post in the thread about this situation, you will learn what the situation is, rather than giving mis-information that only fuels more confusion. I hope this helps.
A quick sidenote: If you bought the module through 'Steam', then there is no refund, it's only refundable if you bought the module through ED Store.

Sorry, it appears a couple of people who like to play with themselves rated this thread 1 star, I wonder who they were
so I have rated it 5 to expose the very few who rated it !
Now I really do need my bed.

As far as I know there was never planned a MiG21 FC4, MiG21 is Mag3 and not ED, so probably not something ED can just do
When an upgrade to FC was mentioned under the working title MAC (Modern Air Combat) several years ago, the Mig 21 was to be included. It doesn't matter too much as I have all the modules anyway, it's just I can't get my head around the Mig21, it's too complicated and an easy version would have suited me.
Mizzy

I have FC, how much will the upgrade be for FC owners? Why has the Mig 21 been dropped?

Dear all,
We thank you all for your incredibly kind patience, for sticking with us.

Really IronMike, the 24 hour delay brought out the most ridiculous members of the DCS forum, but it was very funny exposing certain mindsets. Great product and I can't wait for the F4B, hopefully before I am too old !
