Yes, unfortunately some have a problem but it will be solved, it's computing afterall Once it's fixed, I'm sure you will have a ball rediscovering DCS all over again and every map is now great to play. Enjoy when you can ! Lovely

Same, greetings

You have done it AGAIN !! Obviously language barrier is a problem here but where did I say I was "scared" ?? Let me try again, many problems people are having with their DCS install seldom (rarely) is it actually anything to do with the DCS programme, understand that ? In many cases it is external to DCS especially graphic card driver problems when (for example) Nvidia bring out a new driver, it can cause problems for some applications. In short, many problems users experience with DCS may have NOTHING to do with the DCS programme, it's individual computer configurations and 'their' computers ! Now do you understand? Oh by the way greetings and best regards !

And who said it was ok? Why don't you read posts properly and not add your own interpretation to other peoples posts. Ok that was a bit harsh of me but read peoples posts properly, they can come across a bit arsey !!

I think most people are not getting any crashes, I have not had one single crash so I hope there is no hot fix for something that doesn't appear to be broke, but sorry if you are having problems and hope you get your system sorted. FYI I am running mods which some missions rely on, but I disable all mods, clear my saved game folder, config and any other file related to an earlier version of DCS. Then I put them back after I have updated DCS. It's always the mods folder that crashes so I put them in one by one. Sometimes remnants of an older version cause problems and in that case uninstall all of DCS, everything, and do the above. But 2.7 didn't need anything drastic to work, the most stable update in memory tbh!

It's computer system power or lack of why they are soft edged. No, it's power of your computer to handle the detail of clouds, for example, on low setting the clouds are more rounded with less variety in shape (softer edge) and with ultra settings clouds have more definition. It's the latter that creates the FPS drop and increasing the definition would only bring people crying that their FPS has had a MASSIVE drop. You can't win on this but rest assured in 5 years time, the clouds will have significantly more definition (sharper). The other sim with clouds (can't mention MSFS) has the same problem and settings by the way.

Lightning, thunderstorms, turbulence, dynamic cloud cover associated are all features coming later as ED has stated with the rollout of 2.7

I don't think I have learned any of the modules I have bought. I don't know how to start them up, I set up missions from the runway, I just play for fun and create missions where the AI fight because I don't fight in DCS, it's a leisure product that satisfies my love for military aircraft. BUT you must buy the tomcats ! It's brilliant. Everyone enjoys DCS in their own way. Mizzy Brilliant

It is exactly like an entirely new product, the new DCS is mind-blowing, this is what I call an UPDATE !!

Is it my imagination, but the clouds don't seem to stay in the same place all the time especially when I have wind in the game ? I don't mean I have wind, though that's a problem when you get older, I mean when I add wind in the Mission Editor. Can someone official tell me do the clouds change formation even if they are presets? By the way, I have noticed a performance increase with 2.7 on ultra settings but I can't tell much difference between the 'standard' setting, what's the difference ? Mizzy

That's booties, really dynamic. May I ask what modules you have for DCS ? Mizzy

Yes, I get this 'fanboy' crap just because I see this product for what it is and there is no other product in the marketplace like DCS to compare it to, NONE. I also get really pissed off with needles nit-picking where some just see negativity and nothing else plus they never consider their problems are user error or they didn't read the read me first !! What have you found under the hood ?

Now that's a good review. !!

It's not affecting the majority from what I can gather and I don't have a monster machine. Why not try for yourself.

Indeed..A lot of controversy around the F104's 'Sale of the Century' saga.
-
If you look in the 'Mods and Apps' sub forum and search VSN, it will lead you to where you can get the F104. VSN are going to improve the model which is already very good. Also for Liveries, look at Jocko's bare metal skins, one of them is the famous one from the TV series 'Star Trek' episode called 'Tomorrow is yesterday'. Beautiful skin job from Jocko. Not sure what you mean by stock tips ? Sorry

Awh love that one, not sure what they did to the lighting but it's amazing the colours. You can even play at mid day LOL Any WWII players? Since WWII planes had no radar, I bet using clouds for cover is a real challenge. WOW that first one is beautiful !!

I am sure many of us appreciate the vast improvement 2.7 has brought to DCS. Fly around and notice amazing differences, bring your screenshots of things you have noticed and keep your negativity to other threads !! If anyone noticed, the shimmer on the lake water had gone and replaced with a nice soft shadow. There's loads of stuff in 2.7 to watch out for. I have waited many years for this and I am not disappointed !! Mizzy

No problem just go back to an earlier version, it's that simple.

I can't believe it's been so long since Jim's passing, he used to give me lots of encouragement many years ago now. Rest in peace but never forgotten x Mizzy

When will it be released? I have been waiting for a long time
Mizzy replied to huchanronaa's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Especially when they haven't got a clue what goes on behind the scenes, just come here and speculate what the issues are. It's delayed because it's delayed. Mizzy -

Precisely, it's YOUR story and if you are not an employee of the said Company's, it is pure speculation as to how they go about their business. If you don't like EA products, fine but don't tell everybody else they should avoid them, not your place to do so. In short, don't tell me or other people what they should or shouldn't do on this forum, that is the job of the moderators. Good day A very aggrieved Mizzy ! Btw I have edited out the part I should not have said.
