Trying to run DCS in VR... for some reason it is starting steam vr now. It never used too... How do I fix this? Reverb G2. DCS non steam.
-
Yeah, I've had people tell me (after trying VR flight for the first time), that they could feel the g-forces or pressure changes on their ears... lol. It is immersive!

Please add a VR category.

Thanks for the new map! The map looks gorgeous. Beautiful coastline etc. Unfortunately on my pc (in VR) it is a low fps, stutterfest. Unplayable. For reference in Nevada with same settings I can fly down the strip at low level and it is buttery smooth. I look forward to using this map at a later date when my hardware catches up. My pc i7 9700, 2700 super, 32 gb ram, Reverb G2. Cheers.

We've got a 4k 43" monitor. When it's time for Simulation the VR HMD come out (Reverb G2 & Rift S), and the 4k gathers dust. There's a place for pancake monitors in gaming... but those days are long gone for seated simulations. VR for the clear win. imo. YMMV.

Rift CV1 no flickering during loading screens. Reverb G2... mind numbing flickering during loading. Please fix. I'll also add that DCS is the only program I run with the G2 that has this problem.

Did you try updating or rolling back to a previous Nvidia driver?

Thanks for this tip! Curious what CPU/GPU you are running? Cheers

This seems to have lots of info. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/mixed-reality/enthusiast-guide/using-steamvr-with-windows-mixed-reality

Thanks for the first impressions! Keep them coming! Especially as it relates to DCS. Much appreciated as we wait for ours to arrive.

Rotation speed also depends on your a/c weight. Heavier weight = higher rotation speed. If you rotate too early (at too slow a speed). It will take more elevator to rotate the aircraft and you will spend longer at a nose high attitude waiting for the aircraft to fly.

Superb as usual Chuck!

Yeah. Canada Eh! Standing by for first hand report. PC-Canada? Can I ask when u ordered?

It's a work of art. Thank you Chuck!

 The new Gau-8 sound improvements, internal and external. Yeah baby! Wow! The new wing vapor effect is nice also! This is with DCS 2.5.6.57264 Open Beta 2020-11-04.

The Rift S was MUCH better than the CV1. The Reverb G2 is reported to have better readability than the Rift S (even at 50% res). I second what Svsmokey says above... Reverb G2 deserves a look.

Logitech G430.

In my experience with DCS in CV1 and Rift S, I choose to use ASW and get stable 40 FPS, as opposed to not using it and getting fluctuating higher FPS. ASW is a great VR feature imo.

Yeah I don't want wireless. I want a firehose from my pc to the headset for my seated sim sessions.
