why does it have to be used for frontline squadrons? Imagine making a 'Pearl Harbor' map and not including Haleiwa Field, which was just a mowed grass "emergency/test strip" with no squadrons based there. In an aviation simulator, if an aviation facility existed, it should be modeled.

you could, however the vkb pedals are perfect for anti-torque (helicopter rudder) it would be much better to use your throttle for collective as you rarely if ever (only startup/shutdown) touch the throttle in a helicopter.

you won't get a search or a track for the missile guidance because it's an optical track. The gun may track you though. Ideal way to handle it is to laze it and have someone chuck a bomb from 20k, because it's going to take out your missiles anyway.

the variant we have in game in a shaped charge warhead, not the blast fragmentation variant. It would probably only take out 2 of the three little pigs houses nevermind a bridge. It's not a maverick.
