  1. +1 to add, JDAMS are not automatically reappearing in the Smart PACS when reloaded using the infinite weapons option.
  2. Can confirm this has been a harrier bug for over a year, any time I am close to the ground I sometimes get a massive freeze frame/stutter/lag/, between 1-5 sec's in length. - the freeze usually occurs on the transition from high>low altitude flight or while flying down low. IE: going into land, starting an attack run, or just freeflight with rapid altitude changes close to the ground. - it can happen multiple times in a row, for example, just now i had one 3s freeze then 4 secs of normal, then a 5s freeze then a few secs of normal, then another 2s freeze, then normal. - It's a bit random but happens at least once every flight for me so it should be very reproducible. - it doesn't seem to matter what is on the MPCD's tgp, flir, tv, etc. - i use track ir and it seems to happen regardless of headpostion or camera direction, (I think its related to the direction the jet is pointing or its location/speed, not what the camera is looking at, but I'm just guessing based on how the bug seems to behave. ) - it happens with mirror reflections both on or off and pilot body on or off. - the aircraft seems to keep flying in the background and will accept control inputs IE: if it freezes and then you give full right stick, when it unfreezes in 1-5 secs you will be mid roll, or if you were headed towards the ground and do nothing you will crash into the ground. - if the plane crashes into the ground while the screen is frozen it seems to unfreeze the screen. - it's been a bug for at least a year and was originally why i stopped flying the harrier, coming back to flying it now its still there. - is present in both single thread and multi threaded versions of dcs. - it happens in multiplayer, (not sure about single player as I don't play SP that much, but I can test SP if a dev requests it.) - It its not present in any other module that i own including: viper, hornet, mudhen, apache, hip, fc3, warthog 2, blackshark 2&3, - I've upgraded my pc in the last few months to a 7800x3d, with 64gb ram, from an old fx-8350, only the graphics card 980ti, and 1080P monitor is still the same between machines, including a fresh windows install. bug is present on both machines. I Would really like to see some progress on this bug its probably going to be a hard one to find given how inconsistent it its, and it seems to strike at the worst possible times in critical phases of flight and often causes me to crash the aircraft. im happy to help with finding the cause of this bug, if you need me to run more tests or run with debugging software on my machine, just let me know.
  3. in A10Cii (and sometimes Hornet?) the GBU-31 is defaulting to a 0deg impact angle. the A10cii will sometimes not accept the impact angle input number from the UFC/HUD in the DSMS, (but gbu-38 works normally) and also today a different hoggit discord user posted the same thing happening to them in the hornet. gbu-31's going for a vertical drop even though the JDAM display page says 60deg track files and miz attached. the impact angle data entry seems to work sometimes in hornet and viper but not others. i haven't figured out why it works sometimes but not others, the track files are a mix of working and non working. viper use impact angle correctly the most often. the A-10 track file clearly shows not being able to enter impact angle for one of the GBU-31 Types as you can see i repeatedly press the mfd button to enter the "30" from the hud/ufc and nothing happens. edit: added A-10 active pause track where all bombs go for 0 deg angle.   4. you can always unselet and reselect the weapon on the MFD or using the little red/grey buttons below the switches on the steam gage pannel bellow the MFD to bring up the TRGTS and fuzing options agian on the ODU. just dont do this with MAV's before they switch to RDY as it will reset the weapon FLIR cooldown timer.

Bump +1, would love to see this fyi i made a sudo autostart for the harrier by binding all the things needed to start the aircraft to "1'2'3'4'5--- shift+1, Shift+2" etc. i just press all the keys in order. i actually really like the feel of how it turned out for starting up, its like a semi automatic check list, i still have to push all the buttons but i cant forget a step because everything is just push 1 then 2 etc... its a nice middle ground between R2-D2 starting the aircraft up and having to remember to click every little switch every respawn in multiplayer. I've thought about binding keys for this for other aircraft like the hornet but i already edited the scrip for the hornet to make it super fast and setup a bunch of MFD stuff like Aim-120 default radar range and HMD options that i dont think i could replicate with just keybinds. the keybind semiauto start really only works with the harrier because the airframe is simple and conducive to setting it up that way.
  6. this is still not fixed in 2022, i've run into quite a few bugs in the training missions, including rockets not being selectable, not being able to slew the waypoint in the waypoint edit training, and much of the TGP and TV terminoligt/symboagy and buttons have changed. otherwise great training missions, best so far except for the errors.
  7. just wondering what the actual burn out time is supposed to be, cause i cant seem to get through a single BRM rocket pot without the laser burning out, even taking my time with many passes, laser set to AUTO. and when the laser does burn out. is there any way to fix it in flight?

Just FYI for anyone who Reads this in the Future, Currently as of July 6 2022, the instant action missions also dont have Link 4 and ACLS setup, but you can add it in the editor open the instant action Case 1 mission for the Hornet click on the carrier and under advanved options for waypoint 0 add "Preform Command > Activate Link 4 > set Frequency" and "Preform Command > Activate ACLS" (also activate TCN and ICLS too if it dosent have it already). also make sure to Select "Stennis" in the "UNIT" Dropdown for each "Preform Command".
  10. thanks this is exactly what i needed, im going to set my center to 90, so i can use track ir z axis as my zoom edit: hmm changing these values dosnt seem to actualy take effect in game? edit2: and it breaks intergity check, back to the drawing board.
  11. just an update, in 2022 steam version Snapviews.lua dosnt show up for me default snap views for some aircraft can be found in SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Config\View\SnapViewsDefault.lua" according to a note in that file "-- result of ingame editing is saved to Saved Games/<USER>/DCS/Config/View/SnapViews.lua" but there is no file there for me even after messing up my defualt view with ralt+0 or whatever it is default views for bought aircraft like fa-18 i think are found in "SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Views.lua" i believe these are the defaults local function head_pos_default(tab) if not tab then tab = {} end tab.viewAngle = tab.viewAngle or 63 tab.hAngle = tab.hAngle or 0 tab.vAngle = tab.vAngle or -15.7 -- -9 -- -2 tab.x_trans = tab.x_trans or 0.13 --0.0592 tab.y_trans = tab.y_trans or -0.0083 --0.0072 tab.z_trans = tab.z_trans or 0 tab.rollAngle = tab.rollAngle or 0 ok figured it out: you have to use ralt+num0 or whatever to change the positon in game THEN EXIT THE GAME TO MENU, then go look for snapviews.lua in saved games, it wont show up while the game is running. hope this helps someone else.
  12. necro-post because this is the first thing that comes up in google search, there are FOUR things that control what is visible on the f10 map, (3 and 4 are what you want when editing most pre made missions) 1: difficulty options (these can sometimes override the mission options or vise versa) 2: each unit group has a "hidden on map", "hidden on mfd", and "hidden" checkbox. 3: in the editor, "CUSTOMIZE" > "MAP OPTIONS", Show Units, Blue, Red, Neutrals, and also hide units with same options 4:"CUSTOMIZE" > "MISSION OPTIONS" - there is an F10 Visibility options for allies, enemy's, fog of war, all etc...

It seems development on this app stalled in 2020, it would be awesome if some kind coder out there could pick it up to address the few issues left with it to hold us over until ED gets off their ass and makes this a native function of dcs like it should have been years ago. the main issues are: -Waypoints with negative altitude not being captured by OCR, (i think this is because the scripting dosn't know what to do with the -hyphen denoting a negative number, but thats just a guess, i am not a coder.) -version check not recognizing that the "beta 1.0" is the newest release, so it pops up the new version window ever time. i am scriptkitty not a coder but i can help with writing documentation, bug testing, or anything else, just hit me up on here or github or discord.
  14. Currently the unchecking the "Realistic TDC slew" option allows you to slew the maverick around without pressing the "TDC depress button." This is Awesome for users like me who have an X52 or TM Warthog or other HOTAS that does not have a "TDC button" under their "TDC stick". however there are other functions in the hornet that could benefit from the "Unrealistic TDC slew" implementation like the A/G radar EXP modes. I made a very short video showing the behavior of the slew options, what the community is requesting to be implemented, as well as a workaround for the current implementation of "unrealistic TDC slew." https://youtu.be/yDi0Fm_bfxc I hope this video can help foster the dialog between this community and the developers.
