They are on ssd. Update on the sound... My system is pretty new so still under warranty. Given all the issues ive been having with my system they sent me a new motherboard. Since the switch everything has been running much smoother. No sound issues, and dcs is running much better. I may have had 1 "soft crash" and 1 "hard crash" since the switch. I.e. one where the game "paused" but recovered itself and one where it completely crashed. That seems ok to me. Not sure what everyone else's experiences are with dcs. Do most people have a 95% or better experience with the game in terms of crashing? Thanks!

Thanks again for the help. I have been out of town for work for a few days. Just got back and i'll add dcs to the antivirus exceptions. Also, The sound issues are not just in DCS. The stuttering happens with other games also. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Is anyone else having sound issues? Sounds like the sound skips every few seconds.

I disabled the hot plug and still got a crash. I was able to wait a few minutes for this one and it came back. So was more of a freeze for like a minute. dcs.log

Now i'm having sound issues. Sound is stuttering every couple of seconds, super annoying. Anyone else having this issue since the recent update?

here's the latest. ED tech support told me to rename a folder from dcs to temp. we'll see if that works dcs.log

I'm a Newbie, please be patient Sorry to bother everyone, I know this is a frequent topic. I have had nothing but problems since I have downloaded this game. Started out with frequent crashes and lagging issues. I updated all of my drivers and did all of my windows updates too. My computer is brand new so I did some trouble shooting with the tech support. He guided me through my bios settings to make sure my system was running optimally. Everything looked good there. He recommended to uninstall and reinstall the game. I did that but ran into several issues there. Thought I had the issues resolved but now i'm getting more frequent crashes and hard black screen crashes also. What's the deal with this game. I feel like the creators of this game need to be more on top of this stuff. Anyway, I would appreciate any help I can get. Please bare with me though because i'm not the most computer savvy person in the world. I know that adding the dcs log info is the first thing asked for. I might need some guidance with that. I know where to find it I just want to make sure i'm sending the right info there. My specs are: Liquid cooled gpu and cpu, gpu RTX 3090, cpu i9 11900k, 64 gigs of ram 3600 mhz, samsung 980 pro ssd Thanks in advance everyone!
