  1. @fael097 This looks fantastic, are you still using it? I do however wonder how you manage with head tracking. Do you only use it for VR?
  2. How are you setting which cores it runs on? Affinity in Task Manager? I haven't been bothering to set anything as I thought ED fixed DCS to run on the 3D cores in a recent OB release. Maybe I should be setting something.
  3. I'd love an Aero - very nice, enjoy it. Il'l stick to my Reverb G2 for now. To overclock your 7800x3D you do not need any software, Ryzen Master does not give you a stable CO overclock anyway, you need to do it manually. I would just go into the BIOS and enable PBO, and enable Curve Optimizer and start with a -10 so all core offset. You can fine tune this later if you wish, but realistically this will give you most of any available benefit. Check out the overclock guides from Buildzoid's, his 7950x3d guide is fine to use.
  4. I would take that result with a pinch of salt.....it's easy to screw up benchmarks. I would look for more sources which make this claim. For example, Toms Hardware had the 4090 well ahead of the 7900XTX last December in DX11. But...AMDs drivers have improved a lot and MSFS does not seem to behave like all other titles, so it's hard to say.
  5. Really? I never heard that before. Does DDR5 not play well with Windows 10?
  6. When I upgraded from 32GB to 64GB I was sporting a 5800x3D/4090. I am now using a 7950x3D with the same 4090, but with 64GB DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 RAM (2x32). To elaborate a little, the improvement with 64GB was (almost?) completely on multiplayer only. I don't think there was much improvement in single player. The overall experience is just a little less clunky. Especially on the Syria map.
  7. I saw a huge improvement in smothness, loading times and stability when I went to 64GB. Definitely worth it for me.
  8. Thanks @Kreutzberg , but how do you establish that game bar has recognised DCS as a game? For me, when I hit Win+G in just in Windows, I don't see much (any?) difference.
  9. Hi all - sorry for the basic question - how do you guys know that xbox game bar is recognising DCS? I am seeing DCS loading my cores 8 to 15 rather than 0 to 7. If I set the affinity in the task manager, I can force DCS onto cores 0-7. Is something wrong on my end, or is this normal behavior? I have a 7950x3D/4090/64GB on Win 11 with the latest BIOS, latest xbox game bar version and the chipset & CPU drivers from the AMD website. EDIT: I'm using the MT version of DCS OB.
  10. For any of you optimising new systems and new windows installs, this might be of interest. Up to 15% performance gain in MSFS. Who knows how DCS reacts, worth a shot. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/windows-vbs-harms-performance-rtx-4090 I would try it, but I am dealing with a small leak issue on my 7950x3D/4090 custom loop rig (no damage, thankfully).
  11. Who's going to repeat the benchmark with and without MT?
  12. @Th3ChosenOn3 nice, thanks for posting. Have fun with it. I built my 7950x3D today. I haven't had time to install DCS yet though, looking forward to trying it this weekend.
