  1. But R-2508 is actually a critical area to a LOT of Southern California units.
  2. Easy there, killer. They’re working on it. The attitude is a little bit much.
  3. ED has already said they plan on building an older model Cobra, but personally, I’d rather see an AH-1W.
  4. I’d love to see the CH-53, although with the way DCS is starting to have a comprehensive Army aviation catalogue... the CH-47 would fit in well.
  5. I would love to see improved runway cratering that would take an airbase out of action (or necessitate those taxiway takeoffs that so many people train for in PvP). AFAIK landing gear can become damaged currently, but otherwise nothing more serious occurs.
  6. I’d rather see someone that will develop it in the next 3-4 years, not 10.
  7. How about that military trainer Christian Eagle?
  8. It only takes away from the legitimate ideas being discussed when one person absolutely spams the ever loving hell out of this forum with silly thread after thread every day. I would much rather have EDs time and attention go to legitimate causes, but they probably spend half their time sifting through title after title like this thread.
  9. I’m all for additions to DCS... but I also don’t want to saddle the devs with a laundry list of hundreds of random things to build us... this to me feels like one of those things.
  10. Love the news(?) that the C-130 may become an official mod. I will definitely buy it. That said, I wish it weren’t the J-30. I’d rather see the standard length J (because it could easily simulate the KC-130J) or even better yet the C-130H. Would cover more timeframes.
  11. Look at my post in relation to what I was responding to.
  12. Obviously, yet it still had the designation FB (fighter bomber) and eventually just F (fighter). So it’s an interesting point to make.
  13. Just a wild guess, but it’s probably because we live in modern times.
  14. And on a similar subject, it would be nice if the AI weren’t all knowing — when you duck behind a mountain, they always know exactly where you are.
  15. Agree 100%. We shouldn’t have to put in a 40 knot wind to get a rough sea. Often times my carrier is completely static in these cases because I don’t want an unrealistic 50 to 60 knot wind component during my cat shots and landings. No ocean on the planet is a glassy pond.
  16. No different than previous years, yet they still launched work on new modules. I would almost bet money there will be a new module to tease. It’s become tradition to use the “and beyond” videos to unveil them, and I love that.
  17. Yeah but you can’t end a 20xx And Beyond video with sparks, flames and a cloud parked in a dark room. I’m digging all the Superbug talk. An official Rhino would be an instant buy for me. But even if it isn’t, I always love seeing what gets revealed.
  18. I love it and agree 100%. A ramp of even a half dozen aircraft waiting to go would help the immersion, especially as you said — it would prevent aircraft from suddenly popping up next to you when they’re suddenly occupied.
  19. Something I’ve been pondering for a long time, and can imagine it being so cool and immersive (for those of us that are into that sort of thing). I apologize if this has already been pitched. I would love to see this eventually, both on the carrier and on land. A Plane Captain or Crew Chief guiding you through the startup sequence for your particular airframe before marshaling you off. This would add another level of authenticity and immersion to not only carrier ops, but the overall full mission experience for everyone. Sort of a “Supercarrier for all”, even those ground based pilots that haven’t been able to enjoy that module. And I know some people hate when this is said, but I think I likely speak for many others by saying we would even be willing to see it be a paid expansion in order to get these crews. I know ED has a lot on their plate and many things are ahead of this in priority, but just wanted to put it out there. Keep up the amazing work, ED crew.
  20. I know this is a commonly known topic, but I have a slightly different question on this. I fly the Hornet 99% of the time, and never had issues with tracks not working. They have always been very reliable whether in SP or MP. All of the sudden, perhaps 2 or 3 weeks ago, all that ended. I can’t get a single track file to ever properly recreate anything. Events that never even came close to happening are displayed, even if the file is only 4 minutes long. Has anyone else had this happen, where you previously had no problems with this issue and then suddenly that all changed? Can it be fixed? Thank you in advance.
  21. That doesn’t make a lot of sense, the MD series helicopters are widely known throughout the world, and it’s doubtful that there is anything highly secret on the MH-6 outside of some passive missile sensors or jamming technology at most. From the list given, I voted for the AH-1. And I know a lot of talk has gone around that it would be an older Cobra, but I would most like to see the Whiskey in the sim. Something to share a timeframe with the Apache/Hornet/Harrier/Viper. And most of all, we really really need a UH-60 or SH-60. Imagining an air cav assault with the soon to be here AH-64... swoon. And, a legit carrier borne rotor asset would be great on the Navy side. I would love to see actual rescue ops for downed pilots in multiplayer.
  22. Not a high priority wishlist item among all the other great work ED is doing, but one I’d love to see addressed someday. Hose and drogue refueling: Upon transfer complete call, the hose that your probe was securely plugged into suddenly and abruptly is going through your cockpit. You’d imagine it wouldn’t be too difficult to make it retain its previous slack until you backed out of it properly. Maybe one of these days, when there aren’t more pressing features being implemented.
