    Mirage III

Thanks for the info. The Lighning would be great, always loved those Avon engines. Er used a couple of variants in the Canberra and our Sabres.First aircraft I worked on during my RAAF career was the French Lady, our other nickname, when I graduated from Wagga as an Armament fitter and was posted to 481Sqn RAAF Williamtown in June 1983. Left Defence in 2016 and live in Medowie. 9 klm north. The start method you mention was called a "wet start". Basically the engine was flooded so the Sumpies (engine fitters) would throw a garbage bin full of water down the exhaust. The igniters would light up the floating AVTUR resulting in a rather large fireball coming out of the exhaust and bouncing along the tarmac. Always fun to see from a safe distance!
  2. I am a retired Gunnie who likes flight simulation. I served from 1982 to 2016 on Macchi 326H, Mirage III O and F/A-18 hornet aircraft and ended specialization on J series weapons as the integration engineer. I served at 481SQN, 75 Sqn (1988-1993 and 199-2002) as well as 2 OCU. Other times were at TFSPO. I have a lots of DCS downloads and some unauthorized aircraft. I love anything Aussie. Unfortunately, I am struggling with integration of unauthorized modules. I have Hornet, Lawn Dart (f-16), Mustang and a couple of others that could be considered "What Ifs" in RAAF service (AJ-37) official (Expensive) aircraft. Any assistance would be appreciated. I cannot fly very well but would like to join the unit.

If you do a Mirage III please make sure you do an E/O version. Something like the attached.
