  1. I don't remember what it was before, but now it's 1.4 Haven't touched a single configuration. Will play around with values. I think I will have to increase some of the textures resolution. Thanks!
  2. Tested and it works, still having 90FPS with Reverb G2. Only I've noticed that gauge textures are horrible and before, they were crystal clear. Before I was using OpenComponsite, all I've just done is: clean DCS installation directory, update to the last OpenBeta and launch without --force_steamVR Just posting in case anybody else has this problem too!
  3. First impressions: - Not really happy with the flight model, I have hundred of hours in the Huey and it actually feels like flying an helicopter. Yesterday, when I tried the apache, I was taking off and trying to fly the thing, but it's kinda weird. The antitorque pedals are not really effective. The apache tends to turn continously. Also, it's almost impossible to do a hover. This evening I'll give it another try, maybe am I doing something wrong? - I was doing the tutorials about the TSD and Gun firing, the avionics are AWESOME. - Graphics are just awesome. I'd like some way to disable the kinda hanger in the left side. In general I think it's a great module with lots of potential, but I still haven't got the feeling of flying the apache.
  4. Exactly the same behaviour here... I've seen videos of people taking off / landing easily the UH-60.. no idea what I'm doing wrong. Just my 2c!
  5. You are the second person that tells me that Leap Motion is not optimal... so I guess I'm droping the idea of using it and not even giving it a try. I mainly fly F18 but yes, as you I switch airframes from time to time (and whenever AH-64D gets out I'll switch for a while, for sure!) so... In the end I think I'll go for PointCtrl (waiting to receive it). I was thinking, probably as you, if I've understanded you right, doing fake cockpit (without switches, just structure and empty panels) to use either gloves or PointCtrl as another option. Still evaluating the posibilities.
  6. BTW, I don't know if it has been posted before here... and all the credits go to the author of the video but:
  7. Hi JayRoc, Yeap, I know that one, even if they are not using DCS (I think it's Prepar3d). I know Varjo XR3 has been integrated already with DCS, there are also this two guys: One guy who is living in HK => https://www.instagram.com/p/CYGlRnfAy_n/ One italian guy who is doing a 1:1 hornet pit => https://www.instagram.com/p/CYHFx5Wq2ex/ The big drawbacks I find in this implementation ATM are: Varjo XR3 is outside of my budget (and I think 99% of sim hobbyst), 6000€ + 1500€ yearly!! DCS, AFAIK, doesn't render MFDs or external screens when using VR. I hope ED changes in the near future, but I think it's a super big problem at the moment. The italian guy has fixed this masking the MFDs to show the virtual world, but I think it's kinda rough. From my point of view, the best, would be to have some kind of way to place hands inside the simulation with high precision so it matches a 1:1 cockpit with the switches. No need to do weird mix of webcam (that you loose resolution when checking MFDs) and virtual world. I'm researching how to do it and maybe I give Leap Motion a try... it's not expensive at all, so I think it's worth the try! Kind regards!
  8. Thank you very much for your reply, really helps me! Wll research deeper about AR passthrough Regards!
  9. I'm thinking about giving it a try with a front panel mockup. The only problem I find ATM is how to disable the Leap Motion click with index finger so it doesn't interfere with clicking the real physical switch
  10. Hi everybody, I was wondering if it would be possible to use Leap Motion in DCS just to see the hands in the virtual world and then click real switches in a physical homemade cockpit. Do you this is feasible? Maybe too many problems with physical to virtual world precision? Regards!
  11. Just in case you are interested: https://www.instagram.com/tv/CYGlRnfAy_n/ https://www.instagram.com/stories/enginhk/2740072532755554362/ This guy is using varjo in DCS in mixed reality. Looking forward for his results! Kind regards!
  12. I would sell one kidney to have that in DCS... I'll take some time in the following days to see if it would be possible to integrate this "zed-mini" webcams together with my headset (Quest2) and, if so, I'll think about buying them. Now that Apache is coming to DCS... well, watching that video..., buff, too many emotions together! haha!
  13. Hi everyone, After seing this thread I've done a little bit of research and I've just found this and I was wondering if we'll ever have something like this true mixed reality in the near future in DCS... It would be awesome to use it together with homemade built cockpits: https://vimeo.com/379047035 I mean what can be seen from 1:04 more or less. (Original post => https://varjo.com/testimonial/cost-effective-pilot-training-varjo-xr-1-mixed-reality-simulator-by-bohemia-interactive-simulations/ ) It would actually be a good solution for finding the mouse whenever I have the VR goggles on! BTW: It's using Varjo VR headset... which is not cheap at all After a little bit of research I've found this: https://www.stereolabs.com/zed-mini/ Which has all the sources (in C++) to integrate it with OpenGL buffer and so on. (https://github.com/stereolabs/zed-opengl/blob/master/src/main.cpp) I was wondering if it would be possible to do some workaround to make DCS work as the video by Varjo & Bohemia Interactive and Varjo. I will take some time the following days to know how complex it would be and give it a try. Anyways... just wanted to know your toughts and share it with you. Cheers!
