    Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas DCS community. For the 51 drivers among us: =================================== 'Twas the night before Christmas all over the place, When we were confronted by an old flying ace. There was icing reported and turbulent air, He said "File me a flight plan, I gotta get there." Outside sat his aircraft all ready to run, And the old man walked out to that P-51. "bad weather's no problem," he silently mumbled, The prop came to life. . . that big Allison rumbled. He eased in the throttle, the roar shook the ground, He taxied on out and he turned it around. He went through the run-up and seemed satisfied, Then he said to himself, "I'm in for a ride." So he lined it up straight as he poured on the coal, The tailwheel came up as he started to roll. Up off the runway, he sucked up the gear, And that mighty V-12 was all you could hear. He screamed overhead with a deafening crack, The blue flames were flying from each shiny stack. He pulled up the nose and started to climb, No ice on that airframe, it didn't have time. On top of the weather with the levers all set, He looked up above him and saw a Lear jet. With jet fuel and turbines there just ain't no class, Gimmee pistons, and props and lots of avgas! Now he was approaching where he wanted to go, But weather had covered the runway with snow. How will he land it? We just have to guess, Because the only way in was a full I-L-S. Then over the marker, he started his run, The ceiling was zero, visibility. . . none. Still going three hundred and he felt the need, For an overhead break to diminish his speed. Over the numbers he zoomed, along like a flash, Pulled into his break, we just knew he would crash. Oh, why do they do it on these kindof nights?? Then over the threshold, we saw landing lights. "I'm on a short final with three in the green, And I see enough runway to land this machine." Then he tied down that Mustang, and they all hear him say.. "Next year, I'm stickin' with my reindeer and sleigh." Merry Christmas Hawg drivers everywhere. Asp

    Combat-Helo

Ex Army rotorhead: I'm in if it resembles the demos.
  5. Oh Man! Change of plans: The Mrs. is gonna be bent. I'm going.
  6. 1st: Thanks for the good checklist Till the sim is released the Functional suggestions are WAG (Wild A_Sed Guess) suggestions: Functional Re: N-2 Interior Check From a practical point of view consider the following: 1. Remove Control Lock 2. Adjust Seat as Required 3. Adjust Rudder Pedals as Required 4 Fasten Safety belts/harness (1, 2, & 3 could be difficult for some, in RL, if you do 4 1st) Spelling Current: change to Gages: Gauges More later. Rock on with this. It will be and is useful.
  7. Killer dogfight animation. Well done! Understand - but do not care for the hate.
  8. Cheese This thread contains way too much entertaining content to leave un-commented on: Perhaps you'd like some cheese with that Whine. Re: DCS Mustang - looking forward to it and the follow on Fighter Collection combat aircraft. DCS quality famous combat aircraft from all era's. Outstanding. Same for DCS quality modern fast movers. I love flying combat aircraft in general so for me it's a win win. I'm in no hurry. For the rest of those who only march to the beat of one DCS drummer... Next!
  9. DCS quality P-51: Outstanding! & Thanks ED. 1 v 1 knife fights in Mustang era fighters, in time, I'll have some of that! Tallyho!
  10. I dl and installed the full BS2 no problem. What a hoot to fly and fight. When I select Training the list is empty. I'm running Windows 7 Home OS. BS1 is installed in the Program Files(x86) directory. BS2 is installed in the Program Files directory. Should I have BS2 installed in the same directory as BS1 in order to get the Training menu in BS2 populated and working? Thanks
  11. P-51 and other Warbirds to current DCS standards. Thank you. I hope you do go down the Warbird road as well as continuing modern combat hardware sims.
  12. Well done! I hope you make and share more like it here. Got all worked up watching it. I'm gonna go fly some Hawg now and blow stuff up.
  13. Hey fellow DCS Hawg, BS, and FC-2 drivers, Is there a way to set the TM Warthog backlighting to OFF by default, without having to open Target and turn them off every time I turn on my pc? The goal is to have all the green lights, on the throttle, Turned off - or to turn off, when I turn my pc on. Thanks Asp
