So I'm finally home from work and getting to look at this. Turns out I accidentally turned off the speckle layer in the PSD for something else and forgot to turn it back on. My apologies. everything is fixed. So unfortunately, I'll throw up a fixed version. But for those that DL'd it you'll need to redownload both again. Sorry folks. Kind of a rookie mistake by an experienced guy. Lame-o. But is what it is. I'll throw up a post when it's uploaded and ready to DL again. Gracias.

Yeah I thought about doing that. But With the size of the download as it is, I figure it's such a small detail that literally only the deranged detail oriented people like me would even care. So I opted to save them space and vram. Really I'm just lazy and don't want to convert it. And .y ssd space just keeps going up so I'm stingy. LOL . So you get 512 patches. Have fun looking at them in formation. Haha.

Dang. I will have to fix the serial numbers. Those were an honest miss on my part. You wonder how stuff can slip through the cracks!? same with the static port decal. The patches won't change. I like them. I've experimented with many normals options over the years and I like the stronger effect. That's why they are the way they are! I think the the real reason that stuff gets washed out is because the patch texture is 512x512 and the quality of patch images available that we can find or can't find sometimes. So my personal preference is a stronger effect overall vs a minimal effect that holds some of the stitching pattern which, honestly, I never look at after I make them. LOL

UPLOADED. Just waiting for approval.

Apologies, but I found an error in one of the roughmets for both aircraft. I needed to fix it. I will likely upload the files after work tomorrow as I've run out of time today.

Just FYI, my Have Glass Jets try to recreate this finish which is like a "sand paper". Which is why some aircraft don't look like HG from some angles. These are. You may see other jets out there in darker grey paint with the same "scheme" but they are not actually "Have Glass". Some people may not like the look. But this is my take on it. I personally really like it! I've tried to include the multicolored light scattering effect as well, along with the iridescent effect. You'll also get different Canopy glass effects. One with embedded properties (iridescent colors) and one with just a new "smoke" colored canopy.

Oh. i didn't mean to imply that I wasn't making them HG. They will remain. I used the first shot as reference. I just meant that some photos and video don't impart that translucent effect as good as other photos. But these are definitely HG. Those last 3 shots you posted show the Irridescent effect pretty well.

Looking at this video it actually doesn't look like these jets are Have Glass. It just looks like they have the dark paint job. That is quite normal. Have Glass is not used much from what I can tell. Or it's really slowly implemented.

Thank you! I have a few details to fix to make them a little more different but very close to finished.

Finished the 2 ship set of 18th FIS 87-0264 and 88-0409. I will post some screenshots after work today.

I don't use SP. FYI.

Look, I get it.....it's nice that someone is doing something. Congrats on spending whatever time it took to make what looks like an ultra simple livery. (that's not meant to mock the livery artist in any way, just that it's not an overly complex livery). But, this kind of thing is actually making it harder to get what we need, which is a fully functional Model Viewer and the library of all base textures (all Roughmets, Normals, albedos, for aircraft, pilot, tanks etc.). Without those, you can NEVER have a custom livery that actually looks correct. So while, time was spent on this, I fear that it will just cause a blind eye to be turned to the real issues with a "See, they're already making liveries, we don't need to do anything else" mentality. Which would be a terrible outcome.

It's too big for User files. But I think I've changed my mind and will make it public release. Along with some other content.
