  1. "Early Access" is a cop out. The module was released over FOUR years ago. I know there have been some unanticipated challenges between them and now, including war and a pandemic, but how long is early access supposed to take? 5 years? 6 years? ... 10 years?
  2. LOL "10 Percent True" is just the name of the podcast.
  3. Um... The module launch was in March of 2019 —over FOUR years ago. Development of the F-14A took five years.
  4. "Puck" Howe said that the last thing one did after flying an F-14D to it's final resting place (e.g. a museum) was, as the engines were spooling down, to pull the fuel shutoff handles and press the fire extinguishers which would ruin the engines so that they couldn't be used again. @ 1:29:05.
  5. Why isn't the F-14 RUDDER trim switch clickable?!? Everything else by the throttles is clickable including the throttle heat.
  6. This WORKED for me to simply be able to fly the Tomcat in level flight. I have the Virpil F-14 grip and VPC WarBRD base. Tuning the X and Y saturation down to 90% for both PITCH and ROLL really helped! I have a DEADZONE of 1 for PITCH and 2 for ROLL. I also had to trim the RUDDER just a touch. BTW, WHY isn't the RUDDER switch clickable in the F-14 cockpit?!? Everything else on the throttle panel is clickable.
  7. I struggled with this too. Install the skins/liveries in your Saved games folder for DCS not the actual game folder. If you have not installed liveries before you will need to create the Liveries folder. "C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries" (my Saved Games folder is on C:\ drive). Make certain that you create the Liveries\<module> folder (in your Saved Games DCS folder) using the exact same folder name used in the D:\DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\<module folder>\Liveries\ folder. (D drive in your case). For example, the Liveries folder for the HeatBlur F-14 has two sub folders: F-14A-135-GR and f-14b. Note the inconsistent folder naming convention used. Note also that the F-18 Liveries folder has three sub folders! The FA-18C_hornet is the one for the purchased module. I would not use OVGME if I didn't have too. I recommend that one use a few add-ins like that has possible. Besides, in the case of Liveries it's super easy to install them manually once you know how. Start/Restart the game after you have installed the Liveries.
  8. Moreover. I just tested this out... Able to pull 6, 7+ G's at high altitudes. Also down low approx. 6K ft. with 300 lbs wing tanks full fuel 9+ G's without damaging airframe. The module is totally broken. I'm very disappointed.
  9. I just flew the MIG-15bis module. G-Effects = Simulation. Game Flight Mode and Game Avionics Mode *unchecked. I am able to pull 9+ G's w/o any airframe damage--none. Pilot blacks out, but upon waking up has a fully functioning aircraft. Disappointing.
  10. I know this is an old thread, but I just recently got back into DCS because a friend wanted to Fly Sabres against MIG-15's only to discover that the AI MIG-15's (a 5 G airframe) are pulling 9+G's. BTW, I had already bought the MIG-15 (not inexpensive). I expect the module work fly realistically unless I choose arcade flight model. The flight model and AI filght model needs fixing. Don't tell paying customers to just go buy a less broken module. Just code the AI aircraft to limit the amount of G they can pull to realistic values. Can't be that hard.
  11. The G-load being pulled by the AI MIG-15 aircraft are insane and completely unrealistic. There is NO WAY a MIG-15 is going to pull 6+ G's even if the airframe can do it (which it probably can). This is because the pilots didn't have G-suits. North Korean and Russian pilots couldn't pull that kind of G w/o blacking out. I don't know if it is possible for player controlled MIG-15 aircraft to pull 6+ G's, but that shouldn't be possible either. The Radar gun sight and G-suits are two important advantages U.S. pilots had over their MIG-15 adversaries. Can this be fixed?
