  1. Usually the trigger housing is printed without supports, that helps prevent tearing
  2. My pleasure, best of luck with your build
  3. @Bucic & @Red Yeti please accept my sincere apologies. I have updated the .zip on the thingiverse page, and I have also attached the correct part to this message. Bucic I would be most happy to correct any errors you may find, and I apologize if they have caused any confusion. Happy building, folks! TheSimNet_New_Insert_Revised.stl
  4. I was inspired by your posts good sir! May as well make it known specifically what the community is asking for!
  5. Ensuring there is a proper wish list item for this addition. - AGM-65 Maverick capability was a standard option on export F-5E's. - The APQ-159-1 would function and display the same radar returns, but would differ by also showing the Maverick picture when switched to TV - Function and steps outlined in this post Maverick requires these steps: Turn switch to AGM-65 (disconnects trigger from gun) Wait 3 minutes for gyro warm up Arm stations Light should turn green Turn radar screen to TV (APQ-159-1) Pull trigger all the way to jettison protective cover depress radar AQ button slew with radar cursor stick release radar acq button to lock target depress if bad lock and release to reacquire/lock pickle button to fire order is left to right
  6. Good points all, and also I think the reason there is more discussion with this remaster is that the F-5E we had (pre-remaster) was specifically a USAF F-5E. Since the remaster, it is now a Swiss F-5E (or F-5N as I don't think the wording from Wags was entirely clear on that. I actually read it as this is the USN Swiss buyback version, not the Swiss F-5E itself). So if it was a USAF F-5E, and now it is an export F-5E.......... why not model an export F-5E that actually represents the export options? The Saudi F-5E's would be a great candidate as they were plumbed for aerial refueling as well as wired for Mavericks, JATO, and INS. The INS, aerial refueling, and JATO are actually all described in detail the T.O.-1(I), Mavericks I am still searching for a public source. I would sooner have a proper export variant of the F-5E as was shipped from factory with factory features like AAR, INS and Mavs, rather than a much later F-5EM or an earlier F-5C as Wags mentioned in discord... Also, I feel like that would be a LOT more work than mavs or a removable fuel probe (which 3rd parties seem to have no trouble implementing on their modules). I have purchased a few manuals and books, the World Air Power journal from 1996 in particular has a great feature on the F-5E covering how the Saudi's in particular paid for much of the development of the F-5E. Seems a fitting choice!
  7. I will give it a try and update once I have a new track, thank you for your help!
  8. Hi should I re-create the situation or is there a way to update the track file itself to the latest DCS version? Sorry, I am newer to the process. The original moment was in a live multiplayer server and the server owner provided the log from their console.
  9. According to Wags this is the version you have modelled in DCS, which has carried the AIM-9M/L: null
  10. Hey @NineLine, would you also consider the Quad missile loadout of the Swiss F-5E's?
  11. Example Swiss buyback F-5E at NAS Fallon:
  12. F-5E Missing AIM-9M for wingtip stations. In accordance with the NATOPS, version NAVAIR 01-F5AAA-1 (published 2006), our version with the dorsal antenna (Purchased by America from Switzerland) carries the AIM-9M. This is a valid, publicly referenceable document. Pylons that carry the AIM-9M can also carry the AIM-9L by default. Please include AIM-9M & AIM-9L for the F-5E Remastered module.
  13. Hi, here is the track: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e_95mLpsNl_0QQzGV719UaSh-Oboy_Sd/view?usp=sharing
  14. I love that Aerges models multiple variants for their modules - it would be fantastic if they included an F-104 variant with a refueling probe as well!
  15. This is great news. Do you think ED would be open to integrating your mod into the re-master? That would be fantastic!
  16. USAF Tactical Missile Technical Coordinating Group Quad Missile Carriage System (QMCS) allows the F-5 aircraft to carry four (4) AIM-9L/M Sidewinders on the Lightweight Low Drag LAU-100(M)/101(M) Pylons on the wings and outboard pylons.
  17. The F-5E was certified by the USAF to carry the AIM-9L/M on the wings and outboard stations through the Quad Missile Carriage System (QMCS) and the Low Drag Pylons LAU-100(M)/101(M)
  18. I feel similarly that the A-10C II and BS3 upgrades brought additional capability. It feels like it would have been a home run to include a Refueling Probe and QMCS upgrades with the LDP's allowing for 4x AIM-9M/L with LAU-100(M)/101(M). Those changes are certified by the USAF and do not require any cockpit changes whatsoever (besides maybe one switch for the probe).
  19. Just chiming in that this is not the case... our version of the F-5E would not require changes to the avionics, systems, or cockpit (besides one switch) to run a refueling probe. The probe is also detachable. This has been a greatly requested community item for years, I see threads dating back almost 10 years. Would ED consider doing this with the new upgrade now?
  20. With the F-5E upgrade confirmed, just wanted to loop back in on this thread as a reminder that we would love to see an optional refueling probe and maverick capability! Cheers. The DCS Autumn Sale has begun!
  21. So happy about this upgrade for the art alone. I hope, is there even a slim chance we may see a refueling probe and maverick capability?
  22. Player vs Player Multiplayer, gunshot, s_event_hit registers multiple times and then bandit crashes into ground, however no kill event fires. This has happened now four out of nine kills since the new update. Removal of the wing in this fashion leading to player collision with terrain should result in a kill. HBCWStatBug.mp4 nullnull
  23. F-4E WSO HCU now available free on thingiverse here: TheSimNet F-4E Phantom WSO HCU by TheSimNet - Thingiverse Compatible with Thrustmaster/Virpil bases using this Debolestic PCB: OSH Park ~ Project overview here: Assembly video and BOM coming soon!
