I think I've got the TGP/Mav thing down, except when I have to manouver. For example, I'm trying to hit a SAM site, TGP designating the target, hand off to the Mav and everything is fine- I get good hits 90% of the tiime. Unfortunatly, the SAM sites tend to fire back and during my defensive manouvers, the lock is lost and I have to start again How do I get the TGP/Mav to keep lock or regain lock?

Am I right in thinking that HIMARS will only fire at a point? Tasking them to 'Attack Group' results in masterly inactivity. They're happy to 'Fire at Point', but they literallydo that with all rounds impacting the same point regardless of the Zone Radius setting (I've tried up to 5000 feet) AFAICS the only way to get HIMARS to fire on individual targets is to use multiple individual units rather than a HIMARS group and give each on it's own target. Setting this up gets very old very quickly. Any suggestions?

entry.lua The directory ~Saved Games/DCS/Mods/Tech/ contains(screenshot attached), for example: HighDigitSAMs_v1_4_2 CLP_UH-60a_MOD_v1.0.0125 VPC-Airfield Equipment 0.9.4 beta All of which are demanded by the 'Need modules to load mission' message. Massun92-Asset/entry.lua attched.

But the point is I do have those modules installed.

I'm trying to install a number of (user-created) missions when I tyry an open them iun Mission editor I got a message :Need modules for load mission: SAM Sites Asset Pack HighDigitSAMs CLP_UK60A_MOD VPC Object by voc & virpil.com Civil_Objects I have found and downloaded all of these (several were already installed), but I still get the error message. I've installed all in the 'myname/Saved Games/DCS/Mods/tech' folder and each appears in its own subfolder therein. What am I missing? A little further digging suggests that any mission with a module dependancy seems to fail in the same way.

How to display the altitude of the current waypoint?

Exactly what I wanted. Many thanx. -

OK, I get you; 5000, 10,000, 8000, 32808. I think I follow the (somewhat obtuse ) procedure to get there, but it still doesn't do what I want and suspect it can do, which is to display the altitude of the current waypoint (ie the one indicated on the first line of the CDU. Maybe what I want isn't possible, but it seems such a reasonable thing. -

How to display the altitude of the current waypoint?

Whatever it 'should' be displaying, what it actually displays is the altitude of the point where the mission starts. The []EL parameter has this value at all times, it never changes. I presume this is a bug. True enough the HUD and HMCS display the the waypoint marker at the correct altitude, as does the the TAD, but the [EL] parameter on the CDSU remains always at the altitude at the start of the mission. -

Maybe I misunderstood. I now think the []EL parameter is the elevation of the surface beneath the waypoint, not the altitude of the waypoint itself. As you say the TAD gives the altitude for a hooked waypoint in the flight plan, but since the CDU obviously knows the altitude of the steerpoint I would have expected there was some way to display it there. Maybe not. -
I had the same problem What seemed to fix it for me is to have the aircraft on a lateral formation (echelon for example). Then they all usually bomb the same target. However, this is hardley realistic as all the bombs falll on the same line. Surely it should be possible to have some degree of lateral separation between where each aircraft's bombs fall (otherwise it's 'multiple point bombing' rather than 'carpet bombing'. You can modify the pattern length, but not the pattern width.

I can get this working for a single aircraft, but for a group of two or more, the second aircraft either doesn't drop it's bombs at all, or drops them simultaneously with the lead aircraft (and thus missing the target). I've tried carpet bombing with about the same result. In the attached mission the lead aircraft drops its bombs accurately, but the second doesn't release at all. Anyone have a clue? Bombing Fail.miz
