Question for the VR pilots, are you combining this type of device with Pass through cameras ? So you can operate them in VR.

The lens is not glass, but they are not standard plastic, VR1 is being made with help of VRgineers who have experience of High End Military HMD's . MRTV has an interview where CEO Artur discusses this exact point. There is also an active Discord Group and check out Somnium Space for blog updates.

Somnium VR1 is getting close to release, if the specs are true it will put it above Aero and Crystal, this may be a part of the decision made by Varjo as VR1 has some DNA from Vrgineers, a competitor to Varjo's high-end HMDs.

Agree will not be a logical upgrade path from the Aero, but for those of us on G2's, it will be great to have another choice alongside Aero and Crystal. With the backing of vrgineers helping this project, I am very hopeful.

Agree with all the above comments, thank you to ED for developing and releasing updates to the core engine, MT. VR is always going to be a challenge to performance of both hardware and software. DLSS and FSR technology need to have VR specific branches, otherwise, we will just see more latency introduced. OpenXR Toolkit is a wonderful example of how to gains can be made to VR My hope is that all these small marginal gains can, when added together enhance our experience.

Hi, I currently have a 9900KF G2 and 6900XT running under MT and OpenXR. My objective is to keep 90FPS using OpenXR Toolkit. Really interested to hear from other 9900K users as we wait for 7800X3D as a potential upgrade.

I use the OpenXR Toolkit to help reduce the stress on the CPU (9900KF) I will be honest most of my flying is in low-density theaters with very few assets.

Yes that Free Flight is FPS heavy.

Hi I would have thought a 5800x3d paired with a 3090ti would have given better performance. I run at 90fps in VR using 9900KF and 6900XT. Are you using OpenXR Toolkit ? If so what options have you selected ?

Sorry, Are you changing values in the OpenXR Tools for WMR Customised Render Scale. I leave this value to 100% and only alter the OpenXR Toolkit settings. Upscaling FSR Size 80% (2528x2470) Gives me in mission FPS 45 app CPU 15003 app GPU 20865

Hi, The latest AMD drivers should be fine 22.8.1. In the OPENXR Toolkit menu set the Overlay to advanced and lets see what numbers you CPU and GPU are reporting

Be careful with MR, AMD drivers do not seem to be well optimized. Best to start at 100% in OpenXR Tools, then adjust using Toolkit What release of AMD Driver are you currently running ? Please confirm you have switched to using OpenComposite

Excellent Quick Guide Thankyou. Added files openvr_api, opencomposite, D3DCompiler_47 downloaded from the OCXR_WMR_ACC_v0.4.zip file on the v.04 OpenCompositeACC release page. All working on G2 with AMD 6900XT plus OpenXR Toolkit.

In DCS check the Options Control Panel bottom two options DISABLE/ENABLE Hot Plugin or just use the REFRESH button.

Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers Should show Joystick - HOTAS Warthog and Throttle - HOTAS Warthog Is the Hub connected to a USB 3 style port on the PC Is the Throttle displaying its Green Lights Or are you looking in DCS Check Controls panel Hot Plug In and Rescan
