  1. I'm sad to report that stuttering came back and I'm stuck with a "CPU BOUND (rendering thread)" I hadn't seen in months. Literally didn't even use the computer for 25 days as I was on vacations lol. Cores unparked, Bignewy's mt.lua file present, clean Metashaders2 and FXO folders, and basically all the fixes I used when the problems first came up are applied. Same settings as before. Worth to mention that I did had both windows 11 and nvidia drivers updates. For context, I'm running an i7 12700, 32gb ram, running on a dedicated SSD and a 3070 which is normally the bottle neck on VR (I never really do play 2d, and even then I'm getting the same CPU Bound thingy). Log attached in case I'm missing something. Edit: did a slow repair to no avail. I'll see what happens after today's update. Edit 2 (post Feb22th Update): Clean nvidia drivers installation, cleared nvidia cache, updated dcs, cleared FXO, metashaders2, restarted PC, restarted headset, tinkered with some options on nvidia control panel (after going back to default profile). Now I'm only getting CPU bound on menus but on gameplay I'm getting stable fps with a few rendering spikes here and there most noticeable on persian gulf. Still weird and not entirely satisfied but at least it's playable again. New log attached just in case. dcs.log post update dcs.log
  2. Coming back to report that the problem has not occured again since the LUA file. Latest patch plus latest Nvidia drivers had no effect either. So far so good! so thanks again!
  3. Just tried the Lua file and can confirm that the problem was solved for me (intel 12700). No constant "saw teeth" stutters like the ones I was getting before trying the file. Only stutters I'm getting are the expectable ones on a maxed out 3070. I'll report after further use if the problem stays solved. Thanks!
  4. I had fixed this unchecking Core 8 in affinity and had no issues until yesterday when stutters appeared again and made it unplayable despite my efforts (i7 12700KF, 32gb ram, rtx 3070, quest 2) I am coming to the conclusion that even I have less mood swings than DCS lol
  5. Same on my end. I was running quite stable until the last updates and it's now nearly unplayable. It's like with every new update I have to go decrease the quality on setting or another to get the performance I was getting before.
  6. It's Macross for me, but yeah haha. I wish someone made a VF model for DCS.. any really (I love the VF-25 personally). It'd be so fun lol
  7. The setup in question. Not pictured MFG Crosswinds uwu (I play in VR so the gameplay scene is just for the pic's sake lol)
  8. I know this is an old thread but in case someone looks for it, this one works like a charm https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3320706/
  9. Found it before checking the thread haha. Thank you so much! I have it working perfectly right now
  10. Mine got here yesterday. Took a bit of time setting up but it's now working just fine. I need to adjust the idle stop though cause it doesn't align for some reason.
  11. @EbonySeraphimI'll let you know in a week. But everything points that way.
  12. Mine was shipped on friday 15. Preordered on July 3rd and paid for it on July 10. Guess I was very lucky with my timing lol. Now it's a matter of waiting (which i can't, really).
  13. Haha yeah my buddies told me as much. Hopefully I am able to learn to a fair amount a couple of planes by then.
  14. Hey! Elisa from Chile. My grand father was a private flight instructor so he took me with him many times when i was a kid so that was the initial spark lol. For all my life i liked plane sim games but never had a decent computer to do it (i played a few old win 98 "sims", flew planes on battlefield, played combat flight simulator back in i don't know when, etc). Fast forward to past april on which i went to an aerospace/defense fair (which i go to every two years since 2008 lol) and got to try the F16 demonstrator. Needless to say, i was hooked! I then tried a friend's setup with DCS and VR and i decided that i wanted in too. Got an X56, a quest 2 and then i ditched my laptop for a more capable system (3070 [it's something], 32gb ram, i7 12700, a decent ssd and so forth). Started with Flaming Cliffs adn the F15, but last week i made the jump to the F16 which was what got me into this and good god am i in love with that bird. Still a noob and still struggling with VR and what not but i'm having so much fun. So anyway... glad to be here
