  1. It may be what I had trouble with. Make sure the laser is turned on when you are in the CP/G seat. WPN Page, UTIL. Laser should have a FILLED IN circle next to it. Won't be on until you turn it on cold and dark start.

  3. I've been flying ED products since the old days of Su-17 and LOMAC. I've been on the ride of great times and bad times with this software. But I finally have had the last few weeks break me with frustration when it comes to DCS and VR. It seems that now if you are in multiplayer and respawn, the framerate invariably, and with no real logic as to when, absolutely crashes creating vomit inducing motion and unplayability. It sure feels like a memory leak. Before this it was hours and hours of constantly tweaking with settings in NVIDIA, or in game graphics, or workarounds, or trying specific graphics drivers versions....and there still hasn't fundamentally been a change for the good towards true stability, improvements in framerates or reliability. I have a pretty decent machine I just built not long ago - so I hate to say, I can't imagine the issues are me? Sorry for the rant. Anyone else seeing this latest apparent issue? I just am beyond frustrated and will have to take a break from this program. I was so excited for the AH-64D. 4. Seconded. Since two patches ago RAM usage has spiked enormously, especially on the Syria map. I use VR, 32gb ram and never got close to maxing out. Now on multiplayer servers I'm hitting 100% regularly. Causes huge FPS drops and other issues. No settings changes on my side and I've tried clearing out the shaders. i7700K, 32GB Ram, 2080TI, Index VR UPDATE: Attempted Steam VR beta - and it wouldn't render the cockpits on multiplayer servers. It took almost 30 seconds for the cockpit to appear!!!! Very very odd. Also odd is that windows only shows half the ram in processes view, but Performance shows normal. Settings below, Pixel Density 1.0
  5. Here's another log for you. Shortly after I connect in spectator mode, it goes wonky. TACVIEW file included as well. Starts with a couple aircraft (Wizard) at +1:19, then all heck breaks loose at +3:48 I am on a 200Mbps connection in the northeast US. My ping with the server is around 69. Rubberband_Hoggit.zip
  6. Thanks Big, I haven't had a chance to play this week - but will do so and post files! I will also keep pushing others to do the same for you.
  7. Hi all Several of the online servers I play on are suffering major lag and rubberbanding issues since the last update, rendering anything CAP unplayable due to aircraft "matrixing" all over the map. I'm seeing the issues on all of Hoggits servers, which we stable last week prior to the patch. Many folks all reporting same issue across multiple servers. Others please feel free to +1 on this so it gets noted by ED and thanks to the Devs for all your hard work! Thanks all! Jarhead
  8. Go figure. I ran the test and saw a big improvement (I posted results in the testing thread) That said, my multiplayer FR is still high 30s to mid 40s all day....with it not even maxing out my CPU or GPU The mystery continues!
  9. ASW disabled via Oculus Debug tool: - FPS for both tests OpenBeta: 74-82, occasionally hitting 90 although when not looking at dash/props Stable: 50-56 Interestingly, whenever I play multiplayer (Hoggit predominantly) I never get north of ~45FPS in openbeta, occasionally if I get high enough and far away from everyone else I may spike up a bit. I am actually shocked to see this high a FPS - I never play single player so I never see it!! - System specs Win10 Pro Samsung NVMe SSD 960 EVO M.2 1 TB Asus ROG Strix Z270E Motherboard Intel i7-7700k @ 4.2GHz 32GB Ram Asus ROG Strix OC Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080Ti 11GB - overclocked to 1665mhz/110% power Creative SB X-Fi - Graphics settings DCS VR PRESET BUTTON SETTINGS: Textures: Med Terrain Tex: Low Civ Traffic: Low Water: Med Visb Range: Med Heat Blur: Off Shadows: Med Res: 3440x1440 Aspect: 2.3888 Monitors: 1 screen Res Displays: 512 MSAA: Off DOF: Off Lens: None Blur: Off SSAA: Off Clutter: 750 Trees: 50% Reload: 100,000 Smoke: 0 Gamma: 2.2 Anthro filter: 2x Terrain shadows: Flat Cockpit Illum: Off Font Scale: 1 Droplets, Vsync, fullscreen, scale gui: All unchecked Pixel Density: 1.4 - Type VR set used and driver version Oculus Rift Firmware 709/b1ae4f61ae Oculus App version 1.38.0.256587 NVIDIA Driver version 430.86 EDIT - One other note from my testing that is interesting in VR: In multiplayer (Hoggit) I am stuck in the 36-46FPS range predominantly. What is fascinating is that when I look at the resource monitor, the DCS process is averaging 15-20% CPU consumption (I have all cores enabled on the process, but cant tell which ones it is utilizing) GPU usage per the task manager is never over about 50% utilization. So my FPS is not great - and it isn't utilizing the CPU or video card fully?
  10.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: :):):):):) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3930888#post3930888 DCS World Open Beta Update Due to a third-party module not being quite ready in time to make the Open Beta 2.5.5 release this week, we have to push 2.5.5 to next Wednesday, 5 June. We apologize for the delay. We hope you will enjoy the Open Beta update that will include VR optimization for the Caucasus and Persian Gulf maps, as well as AGM-154 JSOW for the Hornet.
  11. Hey all, did some googling and didn't find anything: Is there any way to place a SA-18 MANPAD on a ship? I have a mission where a static map object (a supertanker in the Persian Gulf) is surrounded by hostile patrol boats - and I wanted a MANPAD on the deck of the supertanker as a surprise for the player flight that gets sent to visually ID what is going on. Many thanks!
  12. Thank you again for all your hard work in this space ElementLT. I will give your settings a shot and see how it goes. I am also suspecting there is optimization work that F14 needs to do for frames.....but overall, it looks like DCS in general needs more focused work in this area.
