  1. I bought the Bodney campaign over a year ago, when I bought the P-51 and the Channel and Normandy maps. My system wasn't good enough to play in VR, so I gave up on DCS for a while. Recently upgraded and now running a 5600X, 12GB RTX 3080, 32GB RAM. My system is pretty damn fast, and I can play IL-2 at 80fps easily. The first two missions of Bodney were playable (though frame rates are much lower than IL-2), but mission 3... my god. Just as quoted above, when the bombers drop their bombs it becomes an absolute slideshow of single digit FPS. Completely unplayable until the bombs impact, and then it goes back to "normal". I appreciate the work that's gone into these campaigns, the historical accuracy, the beauty, but the underlying sim is just unacceptable in regards to performance. I can only imagine that every single bomb has ten million polygons and that the airflow around them is being fully modeled with 4K textures and ray tracing.
