I am unable to hear ATC in single player instant action. I get the typed message in the upper left hand corner but the voice drops out immediately. I can hear my own voice and the ground crew responses to commands but no ATC verbal response. Any suggestions. Sorry to have posted this, after using the gray matter a little which I seem to fail to do at times I figured out the problem. It simply was the F-16 mods I downloaded off the web site and put them into the Core Mods; livery; F-16c file caused the problem. I just removed them to a desk top file if I ever decide to use them again and ATC worked fine. Thank you in advance. Sparkman Kim Liles

Thank you razo+r, I understand the necessary movement to actuate the handle but it does not respond to my mouse or the keyboard command. That was my dilemma. I finally pulled my head out of my sphinchter muscle and figured it out. Thanks again for the advice. Thanks, Sparkman

I know this may sound like a dumb question but, I apparently have the stable version and would like to update to the Beta for the added performance features that are apparently there for the F-16 and other improvements. What would be the best way to update to Open Beta version? I am currently running the 2.7.14.24228 version and have been told I am running the stable version and that is why no updates lately on my version. As a side note, thank you all for your hard work, I just got the Syria Terrain, freaking awesome, I am flying the F-16 primarily and the F-18C a little. Have been flying the Viper for several years using BMS and you guys have given me a great reason to get my head out of my sphincter muscle and re-dedicate myself to sim flying again. Great job on everything you work so hard on. Sparkman

My DCS open Beta is not updating to DCS 2.7.15.25026 from my current version 2.7.14.24228. Is there something I am missing? I have auto update in my folder. Sorry to bother you all as I know you are busy with so much and appreciate your efforts in all you do. Thanks again for the advice. I have made all the changes suggested and still have very slow start times the first time I run either a instant action or a training mission. After I have run a particular mission they load normally if I go back to them as long as it is during the same gaming session. I guess I will just have to live with it at this time. Thank you Silverdevil. Do I understand correctly that I should remove these files, correct? Also I have made no changes to my Nvidia so would think that might not be the problem. I did not remove any of the “fxo” files or any of the metashaders2 files. Should I have done that? There was no prompt to do so during the update. The sim starts up fine then going’ into Instant action the Terrain Loading Page starts up then immediately it goes to Visualizer Start Simulation and hangs for quite some time then to Sim Post Start and hangs for quite awhile followed by Spawn Objects where it hangs up again. It eventually loads but 1cup of Joe later. Thanks again for any help. Not sure if I am in the correct forum title but since the new update today May 27, 2022 of the Open Beta 2.7.14.24228 in single player the loading time has slowed down terribly. Thought it might be just the first time after the update might cause the loading of a mission to be slow but not the case. It is the same each time. These are training missions and instant action missions that I am referencing. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Sparkman
