An update on DCS: Kola Map would be appreciated!
Rodeo replied to Larzei's topic in Orbx Simulation Systems
Everyone has the translation wrong. If you take into account the leap year and the angle of the solar eclipse divided by the difference between traditional Morse code tones and that of the modern tempo in the message the correct translation is … “TWOWEEKS” -

F-4E Phantom II Development Update and Release Delay Announcement
Rodeo replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4 Phantom
At least with any ED pre-order I know at least I will eventually get a product… kickstarter not so much -
I’ve thought the same thing and watching some videos on others using pass-through I personally don’t think it is a feature I would use for “in-cockpit” however I can see benefits in ME and if you have to pause and adjust something.

F-4E Phantom II Development Update and Release Delay Announcement
Rodeo replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4 Phantom
@IronMike thank you for the in-depth update. As the owner of a small innovation based company in a competitive industry I completely understand and have lived through the very same decisions you all at HB have been facing and making; again thank you and I am still as excited for your F-4 as I was day 1 of pre-order (personally really looking forward to your A-6 though ) One thing all of us in the DCS community need to remember is even the best funded and biggest publicly owned game developers suffer countless set backs and delays. I personally am amazed at the ED and DCS 3rd party developers and all they accomplish with very limited budgets and resources; these modules and maps are truly a passion project. Compared to the current drama at EA and Ubisoft the DCS content creators are Allstars in my book Cheers -

As long as we have Tal Afar and conduct the introduction to high-energy tactics in the AH-64 is good by me. https://coffeeordie.com/apache-pilot-kryptek *full disclosure both Butch and Josh are dear friends and the full story is amazing. Yes I am name dropping

First In, Last Out! F-4E Wild Weasel Trailer and Manual release!
Rodeo replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4 Phantom
I’m thinking I’ll print the manual, stick it under my pillow and learn by osmosis … might be the only way to get it through my thick skull quicker -
Sad how they have fallen since the merger. Absolutely disgusting what has happened with the culture within Boeing. My wife’s great uncle was with Boeing his whole career at BFI; do not get him started about current affairs.

Well an update-- I have now committed the process to muscle memory the last few weeks and I feel like I am a much better person for it. Secondly, the conversation following the solution is AMAZING; glad my ignorance spurred such insight. The topic title should be changed . Personally I have worked stateside with some of the best JTACs the USAF produced but we were not focused on their primary jobs but helping them through their pipeline training on integrating into SOF Teams. Of course as the civilian in the company I stuck to my areas of expertise however I wish I had discovered DCS then I would have had a few specific questions for those guys.

Well this is awesome... I do hope they model the 5.56x45mm ballistics correctly. Having shot a lot from a helo IRL the lead in the video look a little to short but I am EXTREMELY excited for this feature regardless of the accuracy/authenticity.

Happy Holidays to everyone. Here is to a safe and wonderful New Year. I hope you get to enjoy this holiday season with your friends and families. Cheers

Thanks guys. I am flying only in SP but will eventually get into MP so it would be wise for me to practice good habits now then try to unlearn bad habits later.

Silly question/thought: So recently I haven’t been creating multiple JTAC way/steerpoints but rather just create one JTAC labeled Waypoint and I just edit the coordinates. This helps streamline my entry process and declutter the HMCS. I understand irl a pilot would want all the data to help with AAR and debriefs but we do not have such requirements in DCS. I don’t think I’m hampering myself but all the tutorials I’ve watched they all create multiple JTAC waypoint. I am assuming this is just to have a truer real life experience. Cheers

Ubisoft got official complaints from Bolivia for Ghost Recon:Wildlands for depicting Bolivia as a drug riddled country and a corrupt military. Did make for one of the best games I've played in a long time and the generic country they used for the follow up Ghost Recon:Breakpoint just wasn't the same. @_Defi just take the previous advise and use those faction names in your mission briefs. If you are playing single-player and creating your own missions you can utilize @Eight Ball Insurgent Pack for variety.
