@Jetguy06 I would suggest adding it like the other payloads are added in the payloads.lua in Coremods, with a specific function following that same structure. It doesn't need to be this way but in this way you'll have examples that are easy to follow. You'll also need to change the default argument for the pylon from 0.0 to 0.15 or 0.25. Keep in mind that pylon drag won't be correctly modeled in this case. Another option is to wait for the January/February update, as we will be including the option with correctly modeled drag. Most of the work is done internally, so it's a matter of how long it takes for it to reach you depending on the update schedule.

Hi @Mini_is_Drunk, The answer is mostly no, out of the remaining modes, only DB was operative in the Spanish F1s, but that will have to come after the radar rework. V2, DC, PR and AC were not functional, so they won't be implemented.

Force feedback silly question
fausete replied to firefox121's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Hi, I'm afraid that's incorrect in the case of the F1. In the F1, to model hydraulic resistance (and dashpot in pitch), the force is increased with displacement speed. In the case of some FFBs speeds and 'unusual' Special Options configs like yours, this causes the oscillations as the 'dampening' effect is excessive in comparison to the other forces. Just as a test, if you increase the Max stick force to 100, you should see the oscillations completely disappear. It's difficult to achieve a FFB simulation that works for all systems and configs, thus why we opted for allowing the maximum customisation possible. I think to solve this issue, we will add an option that regulates the hydraulic resistance magnitude. Best regards and thanks for the tests (and please test the different config and report back), fausete -
@twistking hi! Dynamic noise was refering more to the visual aspect of things. It means that the clutter picture will change with the environment in response to ground returns, atmosphere... in the same way it does in a real radar.

Thanks! And yes, it's an early RWR.

Hi @dave76, Yes all those systems have already been implemented. To be fair, the FFB implementation of the shaker and the kicker have not been extensively tested yet.

Force feedback silly question
fausete replied to firefox121's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
@Smollet hi, can you share your set up and the FFB configuration in the special menu options? -
The fix to the original bug.
-
Hi, had just confirmed it in the message above yours.
-
For these kind of issues I, especially for modded installs in which it is unknown which mod might be causing the problems, I would recommend a repair. Sorry about my answer, the fix seems to already be public.
-
Hi, can confirm through debug that the jam still works.

Hi, this is fixed internally!

Hi, 1 and 2 we are checking. For 1 a trk would help to identify the particular situation causing the problem (as always, short and in the Caucasus would be best if possible). For 3, it is the Alarm light, and it's for a 'scramble ready' situation, in which a special external power source would be connected to have more systems ready faster in a cold start. -
fixed F1BE: TACAN not operative from cold start.
fausete replied to Tarres's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi again, I'm unable to reproduce with your TRKs in our internal version, some work has been made in the TACAN that might have fixed the problem you were encountering. Btw, in f1be tacan2.trk you are trying to set a station that is too far away to be picked up on the ground. Report back if you are encountering the same issue after the next OB update. -

Hi, we are unable to reproduce. Can you provide a TRK? Have you waited for about 60-90s to let the system warm up and have you made sure the priority panel on the left hand side was configured correctly? -
Hi @303_Kermit, Ammunition is handled by ED, we have already asked them for the other types of ammo belt and provided the necessary technical information. If you believe that there is something wrong, we think that it's better if you report this to them directly.

no bug Stick in game is slowed down compared to my phisical stick.
fausete replied to Scrub's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi @les, thanks for the test but was the aircraft hydraulic system fully pressurised in this case? Edit: Made the comment more specific. -

Hi, can confirm that ARTHUR and Dashpot are just for pitch. Nevertheless you can still feel a very significant hydraulic resistance in roll. -

fausete replied to Scrub's topic in Bugs and Problems
I've not seen a video in which the speed of the stick is greater than what is set on the sim, this is easily testeable slowing down time and measuring. It is true that the initial impression is that the stick is severely slowed down in comparison but ours takes 0.5 seconds to go from side to centre while I've not seen a video in which it happens faster than 0.7 seconds, but of course we don't know the amount of effort that is being applied in those videos, so they might not be the best reference. We are relatively confident that the system we tried was pressurised to the correct pressure and the feeling was validated by our SMEs btw, but certainly with something as old, it's impossible to be 100% certain. In any case, we do acknowledge that even if the displacement time is that high in the real aircraft, it makes for an uncomfortable experience in the sim. Our solution has been to increase the maximum stick speed for non-FFB users and to make some small modifications to FFB behaviour to hopefully convey that hydraulic resistance a bit better (and reduce the displacement time much more than in the non-FFB case). As with any hardware limitations, it's impossible to fully convey the behaviour of the real aircraft but hopefully with this we can achieve a better balance between realism and usability. -
Hi, I've been trying for an hour and I've been unable to reproduce this. Can you please attach a trk? Or at the very least describe the exact payload you were carrying and any necessary steps to reproduce.

Yes indeed, we will publish it as soon as it's ready.
