US Based VFA-151 'Vigilantes' Active and Recruiting The VFA-151 'Vigilantes' offer a fully immersive and dynamic environment with missions developed by some of the most talented scenario designers in the DCS community. Every flight impacts the bigger picture in a way you have to experience to believe. Recruitment is open to US based pilots seeking to fly the F/A-18C Goals We are here to produce an accessible realistic environment with experiences derived from relevant defense industry and military aviation careers. A certain level of structure is required to function at a high level but is only implemented where it makes sense. The aim is to minimize the arm chair generals and maximize making targets smoking craters. Streamlined Combat First Training Our training differs from other squadrons with our desire to produce highly lethal combat aviators. You won't find us teaching airbase traffic patterns and formation flying as the only objective of a training night. Those skills are inherent to doing business and will naturally be taught in parallel to weapon system knowledge. Realistic Modification Development Team Instead of complaining about DCS Worlds' imperfections we've chose to do something about it. We now offer the most realistic A-A experience possible via our internally developed and adapted mod package. All of the A-A missiles capable of loading onto player flyable aircraft have had there aerodynamic performance altered to fit calculated CFD data. This mod goes alongside other custom in house scripts developed to allow for advanced IAD capability and dynamic AI control of air,land, and sea assets. Want to learn more?   4. there's a site you can use that runs a timer do 3 decimal places. Hook up to 2 screens, run the timer, then take a picture with a camera and you can see the difference in times = latency from 1 screen to the next. Best to use an old crt as the base
  5. don't worry about tars, its more of a toy, just get teamspeak working and you're good to go. You'll need a teamspeak server address to connect to. Some people post them in mission briefs if they want you to come talk while you fly

  11. Transparency works as is, You just need to convert missileskin.bmp to dds and make that part transparent. End name will be like Missileskin.bmp.dds
  12. it seem that as of 1.2.2 if you don't have fc3 you don't get any cockpits
  13. DCS Nevada Hope they Finish soon. Comes with an FC3 Quality F-18C
  14. In 1.2.2 if you turn on the Radar in Nav mode and lock a target, then try to switch weapons CTD NAV mode + Radar Lock + Weapon switch = CTD only happens if you're still in nav mode when you try to switch weapons, if you toggle over to bvr mode theres no issue
  15. the only way to remedy the landing gear contact is through the collision model. A quick fix is to replace the collision model with another one that has better landing gear. The Ka-50 model and mi-24 have working landing gear that interact correctly with the ground.

  18. I think instead of waiting to buy FC3 I might go shopping for a 40$ hammer and spend the next few months smashing the shit out of my own fingers a few times an hour.

" It only goes through it in some situations, varries with speed and aoa. At Proper landing speed lined up with the landing strip, it traps just fine
