  1. Has anyone know of any written instructions on what to expect from the AI ATC? I'm getting instructions I don't understand.
  2. Same problem in 2 different kneeboard programs? I have no problems. If I had to guess, it could be the font. Try a different one.
  3. According to your description, I should be able to replay the same track from the multi-player server with a 15 minute radar jet trailer or from my client single player tracks stored on my pc. Is that correct?
  4. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I can save and play a single player track. Why is there a Launch Multi-Player button on the Replay screen? What is different about multi-player tracks?
  5. I take back what I said. It's NOT working. Sometimes I get a Mission Script Error. Sometimes I get an external view of a Surveillance jet flight which is a plane I have never flown. I have tried multiple track files, both new and old.
  6. Hey Fappie! I was trying to Replay in VR because that's how I flew it. I have it working without VR but have no controls. No play, no Pause, no Fast Forward or Rewind. Any tips?
  7. I was unable to playback mission I flew on a Hoggit multiplayer server last night. Does DCS record multiplayer flights the same as single player?
  8. I wish ED would expand the module manager to show and include all modules I have bought including purchases of gifts. I would like to see what I have bought and for whom. Currently, the module manager only shows what I bought and installed on my system for me. I think it would be a simple thing to do and would encourage DCS gift purchases for those of us who love to fly DCS with friends and relatives. The purchase of gift cards through the module manager might be a good idea too.
  9. Solution was to use KneeboardBuilder to convert PDF's to PNG kneeboards. Kneeboard Builder for DCS World (dcskneeboardbuilder.com)
  10. Check the KneeboardBuilder manual. Multiple installs of DCS is discussed.
  11. Kneeboardbuilder is going to make an aircraft folder in the savedgames\kneeboard folder. If you don't move the folders that are already there, you will have duplicate aircraft folders and confusion.
  12. I have been experimenting. The answer is yes. Move or copy your SavedGames aircraft folders and let Kneeboard builder recreate them each time you change them in KneeboardBuilder. There is a folder called KneeBoard Groups in the KneeboardBuilder program folder where you will organize your kneeboard components then build a custom kneeboard from your component source material whenever you need to change. Hope this helps. Any chance the AlaskanGrizzly can get KneeboardBuilder to read the Terrain kneeboards and allow the user to select the ones we need to use to minimize the number of maps we have to sift through? Add it to the feature request list.
  13. Great stuff Alaskan Grizzly! Thank you! I do need a little clarification as to how the program works because KneeboardBuilder is creating duplicate aircraft folders in my SavedGames\Kneeboard folder. I have source material ie kneeboards, that I have saved in those folders, and DCS references those folders, and I'm guessing that KneeboardBuilder is changing what DCS is referencing, so what do you recommend as a folder structure? I am thinking that I should move all my source material out of the aircraft folders and delete the aircraft folders and let KneeboardBuilder recreate the aircraft folders when I create kneeboards from the alternate source locations. Do you foresee any issues with this plan? Thanks again for this great program!
  14. I have PDF kneeboards that I can't view. My PNG kneeboards work fine. Do I need some other mod or addon to view kneeboards in PDF format? Please advise. Thank you.
  15. Yup! Got it and it looks good! Thx! I don't understand how the guys at Eagle Dynamics can create such incredible stuff and yet I find myself spending hours in the forums over stupid stuff like wind direction. I thought Meteo was maybe some European standard. Forum says it doesn't exist in the real world. DCS is reporting wind in polar opposite directions like 220 meteo 40? WTF?
  16. Thank you for your fast response. I downloaded and installed OvGME and Briefing.Addons.zip but can't figure out how to import or install the Mod. Please advise.
  17. I am reading this thread because of my confusion over the wind direction in the briefing. How do I download and use your LUA scripts? I see the scripts directory to place the file but I don't see a download button in Github. Thank you.
  18. Thx for the thoughtful reply and explanation. My technique is improving thanks to a lot of help from my friends!
  19. Thx for the post. The issue and discussion was really about lifting the tail for a 2 wheel takeoff and the the yaw to the right and nosedive prop strike I was getting. Best advice was from Kablamoman who said to minimize left rudder and focus on the attitude of the plane to raise the tail. Light right rudder down the runway with a little short kick when the tail comes up. Still not convinced the prop strike is realistic with rudder alone but at least it won't happen to me anymore. Art-J also deserves a mention for correcting me about yaw direction when the tail comes up. Pulls to left, not right.
  20. Thanks Coach! Very thoughtful and insightful again!
  21. Plane will leave the ground before the tail lifts on its own so we need foward stick to lift tail before 90. Thx grafspee!
  22. Getting closer Gentlemen! Check out this track. No crosswind. Smoother, patient, mostly right rudder. This track took a lot of experimentation. Less manifold pressure and more patience. Shouldn't the tail rise on it's own at some point or does it need to be lifted? If it's not lifted, takeoff occurs at too slow a speed. Does anyone have the official V speeds for the P-51? Should be in the manual but I don't see them. The goal for me is consistent 2 wheel takeoffs and landings. Thanks to all for the help and hopefully we can continue the discussion and practice. Takeoff - No Crosswind.trk
  23. I stand corrected! This would agree with kablamoman who told me to stay primarily on the right rudder and the kitchen science below. So, if the gyro is yawing to the left, and the wind is coming from the left which should cause a weathervane yaw to the left, what is causing the plane to go right and nosedive into a propstrike?
  24. I appreciate the detailed and thoughtful reply. Will make sure I'm straight and stable before lifting the tail but Isn't lifting the tail going to require left rudder? Do you think the tail should be lifted at a slow speed or a fast speed? I do understand the gyro and why the prop pulls right but what I find unrealistic is the nosedive prop strike. Any explanation for that?
