  1. Practice Practice Practice If you dont know what it is, put it in the mission builder so you see what it looks like from the air and ground. Use the TGP as time permits, and listen to the JTAC if one is available Another thin which I need to incorporate into my own flying is more SA, and to pay attention to compass bearings. With a little math (owww it hurts) you can remember the relative location of friendlies compared to hostiles I remember I accidentally dropped CBU-97s on US and ROK forces in Falcon 4.0
  2. Good Topic! I've always wondered that myself, and it makes a hell of a lot of sense. Plus, IRL you can't go through the burning hulks of vehicles now can you?
  3. Now Sabre, is is possible to break each phase into separate "Chapters" ? That way those who are competent in landing, etc or the more mundane things can go straight to the more challenging items? Such as for example, if I want to practice Air to Air refueling, I don't want to land and takeoff to get there
  4. Keep in mind that the A-10 has an excellent turn radius and turn speed, on par with a fighter such as the F-16 or MiG-29. What it lacks is a decent thrust to weight, making a sustained turning fight a losing proposition. However, if need be you can make a very fast, very hard instantaneous turn. Another thing to keep in mind is that fast mover pilots don't fly with the gear up below 5,000 feet. It is God's honest truth and is written in the good book. Bring your hawg down and attempt to lose yourself in the ground clutter. Below 2,000 feet without the gear down fast movers fill up their piddle bags. Again, in the good book.
  5. Its those Commies trying to sap out precious bodily fluids. Initiate Plan R!
  6. Mic1184, where would they put the radar? Don't forget, the nose is taken already
  7. There is nothing better then having the smell of cordite after a day with the Garand
  8. Very interesting Mizzy. I can see where your coming from, I love the thrill of combat, seeing all those little systems come together in order to get that AGM-65 downrange, but flying too is a lot of fun. I was just never got into FS2004 much, I've flown a Cessna 172 in real life, lots of fun.....not so much pretending I'm flying it.
  9. Hahaha. "USAF pays RUSSIAN company X million dollars for training tools for classified UCAV"
  10. What exactly does a flameout mean? The engine shuts off?
  11. I'm fully aware that it can be shot down, and has been. It just seemed that they were targetted at the exact same time the rest of the strike package was.
  12. So, the F-117's stealth capabilities are rendered null by a Sa-11, Sa-10 site. However, i've noticed that the Nighthawks are engaged not much further away then what most other a/c would be engaged. Also, all that heavy RAM seems to make them impervious to direct hits by Sa-10s So, it's very hard at this point to actually see how effective the stealth is modeled because of how awful SAM sites are acting at the moment
  13. :doh:Wow, that was too easy. I actually looked there because I assumed that's where the information would be located, must have missed it:doh:
  14. When we are in the mission editor is it possible to get the ASL of a specific point of ground. I'm aware that its possible to reduce baro of each waypoint to 0, causing it to default to ASL=x = 0AGL however this is quite time consuming. In BS, barometric altitude played a much less important role because most of the action was down low. So, is there a command to find the ASL of a specific point just by clicking on it in order to reference flight paths, etc. Oh and to ED... PLEASE for the love of god allow us a planning map that shows accurate topography preferably with altitude tics, the current one is abysmal if you have to set up stuff anywhere other then the Modok-Mineralnye Vody zone
  15. Didn't the A-10 A have a super basic ILS on the HUD? in FC 2.0
  16. Um both the Tornado and Su-34 are two seaters, plus several versions of the Hornet and Harrier
  17. Coming to it, the Shkval is really a glorified AGM-65K seeker.
  18. Oh god! the infinite loop begins again. You know you play too much when you realize that the exciting fun weekend with a girl will mean NO A-10C
  19. When you are in class being lectured about the Holocaust and the Nazi terror state whilst reading this and desperately trying to keep a straight face.
  20. What key/hotas command is used to cycle through waypoints?
  21. How do we mark targets with smoke in the editor? Is it a script? All I want to do is create a vehicle park, and mark it so its easier to see. I never realized HOW hard it is to see stuff on the ground when flying at 300kts.
  22. Its funny, the Luftwaffe boys keep reverting to Deutsche over English
