To me the overall topography of the map appears too flat and uniform.
So you guys have the same impression or is it only me?

I flew 2 years exclusively F-1CE / EE / BE. Back then F-4 wasn't much of a challenge. Short on fuel, slow. Now I fly F-4 Exclusively
May I ask what made you switch to the F-4?

I think implementing a system that credits you for manoeuvre kills won’t exactly be a trivial task. How do you determine what is a manoeuvre kill and what isn’t? Can that be easily defined using language that a computer understands?
From what I hear, getting credit for manoeuvre kills in real life isn’t trivial either.
I remember back in the days when I played "WarBirds" online (must have been around 2000s) they had some scoring system that involved manoeuvring kills.
While I agree that this would not be a trivial task I think it is not undoable. E.g. when two planes turn around each other for a certain time and then on one crashes, that would be a good indication for a manoeuvring kill. It might not be a 100% solution, but better than nothing.

Very true. However, I also believe in numbers

I really would like to get manouvring kills being awarded.
When an an opponent looses control and crashes in a dogfight that should count as well as a kill. It’s quite frustrating when he flies into the ground while heavy manouvring and you are just left without any credits.

@SuperKermit Have you considered testing VAICOM? Which doesn't use the radio menu at all, and have a special Jester feature. It's a free plugin for VA.
Cheers!
Well, I do use and love VAICOM! But as AIRIO is not accepted on the MP servers I fly, I have to revert to other options, unfortunately.

Hey guys, please excuse if this question has been answered before, but I did not read all 8 pages of comments.
I have an issue when using the radio commands, e.g. "flight". When I say "Flight, cover me" only a F4 or F1 button press is invoked without being in the radio menu, which brings me to an external view.
What am I doing wrong? Many thanks in advance!

Any updates on this topic from Aerges? 4 x AIM-9 would be really nice!

Ahhh see I was thinking during the cold war. Like a late 1970s or early 1980s update just to get pulse doppler retrofitted.
Keep in mind that the F-15A started being implemented already in 1976 taking over the A2A role of the F-4 in US service. So why spend money on something you don’t need?

Is that behaviour supposed to be fixed now? I have experienced the same issue more than once in MP.

CT will have a laser range finger, for a better AG accuracy. Corail pod panel...
But as told it's maybe for those versions CR/CT. It's more a wish than a planned version from AERGES.
I see, thx for the clarification! But the Corail pod is not a CT exclusive feature, right? It could be used by the CE/EE as well, right?

As I discussed with them, and shared my 3D model, they would, as there is a Corail pod in the shape folder, just be patient.
They will make some improvements. Maybe we will have the F1CT/CR one day too.
Thx for the update! Patience is hard though
What would the F1CT/CR bring functionality wise? 4 Sidewinders was only CG, right?
-
Has there been any word by Aerges if they will add the Corail pod to the official module? I would love to have it in MP!

I am a bit confused by the functionality of the 300-600m gun range button with the different IR missiles.
What I (think I have) learned:
- AIM-9B: no function
- AIM-9P, J: uncage (once a lock-on is achieved), only as long as the button is pressed
- AIM-9JULI: SEAM?
- R.550: boresight mode with reduced 5° FOV (from 20°) as long as the button is pressed
- R.530F IR: no clue. What does it do?
Is that correct? Could anybody please elaborate on the 530F IR?

Aerges please add specific keybinds for selector switches such as IDN Mode Selector or Radar Function Selector, etc.
Currently there are only options for turning the knob left/right. It would be very helpful to be able to directly select e.g. the radar modes (H.A, I.A, etc.) or the IDN modes (TT, TE, VT, AR).
Many button boxes (e.g. VKB SEM or STECS) have mode selector switches which could then be bound to the functions mentioned above.
On the other hand some switches like the Stores Jettison Select Switch only have bindings for their positions (up, middle, down). Here it would be great to have bindings to move them up/down, or - even better - toggle switches. The up/down keybinds could then be used with K-switches.
Generally, having more options to add keybinds would greatly improve the usability for existing button boxes and HOTAS setups.

As a new F1 pilot I would like to chime in - please add more toggle options!
-
Is there a drag/weight penalty with the fairing?
-
Wow, thanks for the quick reaction!
However, what I meant is something like in my screenshot. Reason is that it is already hard to match the sound with the corresponding airframe. But knowing which radar type is in that fighter is even one step harder - and frankly not that relevant IMHO.
Please excuse, my first post was not very clear in that regard.

You're the man! That quiz is really helpful!

But if I may make a suggestion, it would be to include the airframe of the respective radar in the provided answers - that's the information which is the most important for me as a pilot in the end. -

So do I have to "put the thing on the thing" to steer correctly or how has the comand to be understood?

Stick Uncouple Switch

I was just asking myself the same question and consulted the manual which states on page 33:
„As mentioned previously, in case of the pressure of circuit one falling beyond a certain threshold, part of the circuit is isolated and an electro-pump is activated.“
This confuses me. Which parts of the system does the automatic system „Ancillary Shutoff Valve“ isolate and which ones does the Stick Uncouple Switch then isolate on top?
When I understand that diagram on the same page correctly the Uncouple Switch only isolates the autopilot servos and the Ancillary Shutoff Valve isolates all the ancillary systems
