  1. You are an absolute legend. Thank you very much for everything you do for the community. This is epic.
  2. Understood. It does look like all these 3D model artists are probably under something of a contractual obligation, so I'll have to keep looking. Best of luck with everything else.
  3. I see - good to know he's able to help. I like that guy. I understand that these ships will take time to make, and I also understand that you have been dealing with health problems. So yeah, pace yourself, and don't feel pressured in any way, shape, or form. As for Durand De La Penne, I have found a nice 3D model here but it doesn't appear available for sale or download. I'll email the guy and ask on your behalf if you're interested.
  4. All this is brilliant. So when it comes to difficulties with AI ships, I think Currenthill would be the right person to approach. I know that he's a busy man but seeing as you two have worked together a few times in the past, he just might make time for you. As for texturing ships with rust, corrosion, and other signs of wear and tear, I think it adds a layer of realism. Keep up the good work - down the line, if you're interested in working on ships like Durand De La Penne, Forbin, Andrea Doria (not to be confused with the ocean liner of the same name), and more FREMM variants (namely the Italian general purpose and ASW ones), I'll consider donating and helping you find suitable 3D models, just as I do with Currenthill every now and again.
  5. I'm currently away from my computer but if you use ED's model viewer and generate a livery description.lua file, you might be able to determine the names of the missing textures. Then, go on Google Images or something and try to find some colors that might match the missing texture files.
  6. And again, just know that any amount helps. As long as enough people contribute regularly, we'll be able to help Currenthill bring more to DCS.
  7. This is... beautiful. So out of curiosity, how are tests coming along for these assets?
  8. HEMTT with what appears to be a generator and some spool drums of some kind - I'm assuming this is part of a SAM battery. It's already been done. See below. Also, I don't think you can simply "mount" a Phalanx CIWS or C-RAM system on the ground like that, it's just not physically possible.
  9. https://www.dvidshub.net/news/96727/ballistic-missile-defense-system-engages-5-targets-simultaneously-during-largest-missile-defense-flight-test-history This might be old news, but I think it should indeed be established that the THAAD is capable of engaging at least 5 hostile targets simultaneously, and I suppose 10 would be the high estimate.
  10. The Horizon-class ships are slightly different for each country - seaforces.org has some pretty good info on them. France: D620 Forbin and D621 Chevalier Paul (pictured) Italy: D553 Andrea Doria (pictured) and D554 Caio Duilio. Note that the Italian ships are fitted for but not with Otomat and Teseo anti-ship missiles - I believe they were later installed amidships like the French counterpart.
  11. This is honestly ingenious. Thank you for everything that you do.
  12. Well, fair enough. These 3D models take a lot of time and money to make, and half the time, nobody wants to buy a 3D model of what is essentially an HEMTT or FMTV with a box and some funny-looking antennas sticking out of it. So that's understandable. As for buying models from MVRsimulation, I think it's possible, but it would be quite challenging. Not saying that it's impossible, but I guess given how all these models look so pixelated and stuff with unrefined edges, I think you're right in saying that it's not worth the trouble.
