  1. Alright, I’ve been given my first warning here so I’ll take a breath and apologise. I don’t mean any harm but I overstepped the mark a bit, fair enough. Hiobs posts here and a couple of others are making good points with sentiments I can agree with. I’m a bit scatty with it all at the minute too, trying to see different perspectives. Bit of a hot topic I s’pose, it’s ’our thing’ and something we’ve all invested a lot of time and money into, Devs, customers, all of us. I have a few points still to spend on my account, can they be used towards pre-orders? Maybe I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
  2. Someone's getting demoted. Maybe Red 2 or 3? Funny, I loaded the pylons etc last night for the first time, other than having smoke o course. I did the same as you did. Master arm on and trying all my buttons, I couldn't remember my bindings to even get the smoke on (absolute disgrace I know and I'm suitably ashamed). Redeemed myself with a bit of research and got the smoke on but couldn't drop bombs or fire anything else. I hit a mountain at about a quarter past mach-silly with the pointy end while looking about the cockpit. I'll have a look again later. Everything's fair game as it's technically a trainer so we're expert pilots anyway . Smoke on - Rahhhhhhhhhh brrrrrrrrrrrrp.
  3. Me too . Managed to get the axis tuning right this time. Using the settings from Holbeach gives a bit of lee-way on braking before it goes full on. I'm getting to like the spongy a little bit too. It looks good but does want turning down or stiffening. Reminds me of driving a dodgy old renault from years back. Like sitting half asleep on the sofa being gently rocked from side to side. Any quicker and it'd be like something out of the streets of San Fransisco, screeching tyres included. I could maybe get accustomed to the spongy shocks but I've had better in a Golf GTI. Sore point as the missus killed it for me. Loved that motor . I know the Mossie story, epileptic on the ground for me. Have fun Qcumber. This (track) is how the Pony is for now. The Jug I tried and didn't have any problems, even liked the feel of it a bit.. I might give the 109 a look, always a laugh if I forget the tailwheel lock like in the Jug. Just keep hearing David Niven in my head. Anxious whispers in my version though. Pony Rides Manst-Holbs .trk
  4. The track I posted was a while after I’d tried a lot of axis changes and curve combos. I will have a look later, I’d like to get some brakes working, cheers. Edit: Nevermind, I’ll switch my brain on in a minute , right… I’ll look again
  5. Everybody taken their meds this morning? I’d hope for a lot of things mentioned already for the Chinook, besides being able to fly it. I don’t feel that inclined to shell out £70 on a promise though then be posting in a bug thread pleading for promises to be fulfilled. I own the super carrier too as well as owning a fleet of rapidly deteriorating props. There’s a lot of ifs and buts at the minute. I’d buy the Chinook, even though I have the AH-64 with all it’s foibles and I never fly it. I’d want to try it out first though and to do that I’d have to bend over to the new two-step trial system too. It’s probably a long way off to give it too much thought yet anyhow. Couple of weeks at least .
  6. I thought I’d tried that too but I’ll have a look again later no doubt, cheers. I’m gobsmacked at some of the results people seem to be getting. I wish it was something my end then maybe it’d be an easy fix and I’d be happier. Both the Mossie shaking and the Pony brakes are drastically different/changed/completely knackered for me. If I even slightly touch either brake pedal in the Mustang I can bunny-hop the tailwheel. They’re almost either full on or they’re off. I’d rather be flying em than buggering about trying to fix em. I don’t think we should have to be trying to fix em either. Like I said, maybe it’s something my end but I’m pretty sure it isn’t, other software’s fine with my peripherals etc.
  7. Something those of us flying WW2 are all too familiar with lately
  8. Well, I’ve only stumbled in here and I’m no expert with these things, other than I’ve suffered with it too but… Have you tried repairing DCS? Also, renaming your saved games folder? If not, maybe try those, see if it works, save another log once you’ve tried doing those and post again if you still have trouble. More than likely one of the more computer literate around here will have you sorted soon, just letting you know what I’d try. Good luck with it and welcome to DCS .
  9. Animated ground crew would be great as well as of course, having the lads slipping down ropes and dangling out the back of the Chinook. Would bring the place to life massively. We’re a bit short only having our little head moving in the cockpit or dickie birds flapping occasionally.
  10. Good shout 4eyes, haven’t used my desert skins for a bit and I could do with a change of scenery. I’ve got maps I never use, I should get out more. Saying that I was flying about on the Sinai map earlier, first change in a while. Also looking fjorward to the Kola map .
  11. Our eyes have to zoom in and out all the time. To quote dear old Mrs Merton “Let’s have a heated debate”
  12. Yep, fine for me too. I've had a bit of trouble with the blue smoke though, I rattled the can and it shakes like it's empty. Someone must've been at it? Thought I was red one too? Gutted.
