  1. maybe somebody can help me here since ive not found any info regarding: is the PHIMAT a chaff only pod or would you be able to carry flares/mix of chaff and flares?
  2. As we all know the F1 has quite a few switches with covers (master arm, AAR switch, selective jettison for example) and not everybody has buttonboxes with covered switches that would work as on the f1 so it would be cool if either covers will be automatically opened if u press the switch that it covers or more ideally a bind that combines both the cover open and switch actuation with 1 keybind.
  3. well ive heared that its high drag only b4 as well but its kinda inconsistently implemented: the FA-18, F-16, F-15E and F-14 can deploy snakeeyes in lowdrag mode while F-5E, AV-8 and JF-17 cant so its kinda a thing that ED perhaps should take a look at and make it/have 3. party Devs make consistent
  4. As stated in the Title on the F-5E-3 if the fuse switch is in nose fuse (or any other) Mk82 Snakeeye deploy in highdrag mode and not in FF/low drag mode unlike some other modules that have the nose fuse option. This applies in both bomb and ripple mode on all stations Edit: added "Some" between unlike and other modules
  5. Im not sure if this is the right place for posting this but since i couldn't find a better for it. Currently if you have JESTER select the nose fuze for a Low drag deploying of Snakeeye/Air Ballute Bombs he doesn't change the weapon type from "Mk 82 H" to "Mk 82 L" which results in for example the CCIP crosshair obviously showing the wrong impact area. It would be a nice quality of life change if JESTER would set the weapon type to the fitting setting on Snakeeye/ Air Ballute bombs (Mk 82 H for nose/tail fuze and Mk 82 L for Nose fuze) as currently a player has to switch to the RIO seat to manually set the weapon type.
  6. after some testing the only way to reset your SPI to your active WPT is to have the radar as SOI and press "S2 press" 2x. If the TPG is SOI "S2 press" only unlocks a target from point track. I'm not sure if that's intentional or a bug. In regards to the laser i remember some time ago it had a tendency to break but i think that got fixed i personally haven't had any problems with the laser not turning on. As far as i know the TPG doesn't have a manual laser mode anymore it had it but that got removed and the TPG only autolases now (would love to be corrected on that). The number you referencing is most likely the laser active timer, the laser on the jeff can not be permanently turned on it will automatically turn off to prevent damage to the laser and that timer (flashing "LSD T ##") tells you when the laser turns off
  7. In the end its not about the bomb but that as the jeff currently is, its the only jet i know where the TPOD is locked into automatic laser activation and doesnt have the option for either manual laser activation or automatic activation. The mode selection on the stores page doesnt have anything to do with the laser on the TPOD. I might get corrected on this but auto and too modes are just CCRP drop modes with limited if at all differences between each other.
  8. Wanted to give me 2 cents earlier but i had to wait for the 24h waiting period for posting on new accounts to do it but the LS-6 100 as of open beta version 2.8.0.32066 does have GPS/INS+Laser seekers like the GBU-54 Laser-JDAM: i did 2 different tests each without the use of laser designation from 30k feet drop altitude roughtly 13miles from target Test 1: In this Test i used waypoints (didnt test pre-plan points (PP1-PP4)) set in the editor to attack 4 T-90 tanks. My jeff had only the 4 LS-6 100 equipped. By cycling through the 4 waypoints all 4 T-90s got destroyed by direct hits Test 2: In this Test i used point designation with the TPOD which was set to a different laser code than the LS-6's and again all 4 bombs direct impacted all 4 T-90's destroying them Additionally in both tests my planes heading was offset a few degrees to the left from the target so that it couldnt be fluke hits. I think the perception that the LS-6 100 doesnt have GPS/INS guidance comes from that we currently cant switch the laser from auto designation to manual (at least i dont think we can) and i think if the LS-6 detects a laser designation it turns off GPS/INS completely and just relies on the laser and since the laser timer at maximum distances runs out b4 the bomb hits, if the laser isnt reengaged in time the bomb just looses all guidance and doesnt revert to GPS/INS guidance. This is theory from my part tho i dont know enough on how the weapon behaves in DCS to say that with certainty. Edit: Forgot the part i wanted to say about the LS-6-250 i tried the impact azimuth mode and it worked for me...so maybe you overlooked something (maybe they werent aligned yet) in the moment?
