  1. Okay. I do have the R-800 radio tuned so I will bind a button to the Push to Talk. Thanks
  2. I've experienced this in several of my Ka-50 III missions ... When I'm sat at the airfield, I can use the Communications Menu Button to call up ATC etc. I have the button (/) bound to my Hotas throttle and also to my Voice Attack. The menu works fine until I get airborne. From then on I can't get the comms menu up! I've tried both bindings and th ekeyboard command. I have tried this in various missions on the Caucasus map, flying out of various airfields, and I get the same thing. Any ideas? Thanks
  3. I have the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog. It is barely 12 months old and Thrustmaster have already replaced the main PCB in the throttle - more to the point, they sent me a PCB and I replaced it. When I took he throttle apart, the body was full of plastic swarf particles showing signs of wear in th ebearing, I presume. This past week, the buttons on the throttle stopped working on any setting other than full throttle! I took the unit apart and blew, brushed out the case and the contol boards. The boards smell as thought they have been getting hot, you know, that hot electric smell? Why dowsn't the thorttle have a fan installed if it get's that hot? The throttle is working agai now, but I have no doubt it will fail again! So here is the answer to the sub standard of the Thrustmaster HOTAS, 1. don't buy the junk in the first place, save up and buy a superior product or 2. have a second,, spare HOTAS so you always have a working HOTAS while you wait for Thrustmaster support to get back to you, if they ever do! Good hunting guys. Regards
  4. Hi. I disabled all of my MODS, not just the ones used by my mission, and reintroduced them one at a time. Ironically, I found that the JAS39 MOD seems to cause the crash! Maybe someone else can confirm?
  5. I think this thread has gone around in a circle. We have determined that you need to click the Collective Clutch Lock/Release Button if you did a cold start with the flight engineer carrying out the start. Read the thread back through and you will see the symptoms and the resolution.
  6. The Viggen 'buried' wheel problem seems to have been fixed in v2.9.2 - thanks guys Any chance you could look at the AI Viggen, the wheels hover above any hard standing. Not an issue but it does sort of spoil the immersion.
  7. This has happened on numberous airfields on the Caucus map. It may happen pn pther maps but I can only speak from experience. When I have the radar set to Landing Nav mode and the Auto throttle set, DCS crashes when about 10 to 15 miles out from the airfield. I experience this regularly on the approach to Kutaisi and also on th eapproach to Beslan. I have a couple of mods in th eattached training mission but I have tried it with and without the mods and I get the same issue. The mission is just a selection of hot and cold start AJS-37 Viggens with differing armament for practice, so nothing technical. AJS 37 Flight Training.miz
  8. I have been having the same issue with AI ATC. Clearance to start-up works fine, when I go into the comms menu to ask permission to taxi, the 'Request Start-up' menu option is still active. Once I begin to taxi THEN I get the cleared to taxi message. From then on, everything works fine - Request takeoff etc.
  9. I set up a route in the Mission Editor, start the mission, load the data cartridge, 9099 etc. All is well. The LS for the runway is incorrect so I switch to BANAGRANS, input, hit LS and change the runway direction, back to AKT POS and UT. I do the same for L1. While I'm pressing buttons I change the B4 waypoint to a target waypoint. From now on the course indicator for LS is stuck at whatever waypoint I selected last - in this case M4. All other waypoints swing the route indicator other that LS. Once I get in the air the route swings to B1. Okay, so it isn't not stopping me flying other than it is blooming annoying! BTW - since the 2.9 update, and while flying the AJS-37, DCS regularly crashes when approaching the runway in Landing NAV mode!
  10. @kksnowbear@BitMaster ... Hi Guys. I just had a response from the tech guys at PC Specialist. This clears it up - "The case will fit up to 4 x 2.5" SSD's as it has 4 x SSD bays. Your motherboard will fit up to 5 x M.2 SSD's, you can install another 3 as two are taken up by the following: 1st M.2 SSD Drive 1TB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 7000MB/R, 5000MB/W) 2nd M.2 SSD Drive 1TB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 7000MB/R, 5000MB/W) If you want to install 2.5" SSD's then you will need to connect a SATA cable and a SATA power cable from the power supply. However, if you are installing an M.2 SSD then you can just connect these by slotting them into the motherboard."
  11. Yep, sounds reasonable to me! Is the F-4 going to be delivered 'broken'?
  12. I abandoned JSGME and found that OvGME is much easier to use so I have my altered lua files covered now. I expect JSGME works pretty much the same OvGME but I just seemed to click with OvGME. I set up two config files, one for the DCS Core and one for DCS Saved Games, I also have two MOD folders, one linked to each config file. Just to go down the belt and braces route, I also created a backup folders. If the MOD is a 'core' MOD I drop it in the DCS Core folder and activate it from there. If it's a Saved Games MOD you can probably guess where that goes. When they bring out an update for DCS I just have to disable the core mods and reactivate them following the update. You don't need two folders but it just saves having to remember which are the core mods and which are the saved games mods.
  13. HA! In my box of 'junk' that comes with a new high end computer I found a ROG Hyper M.2 card!!!!! LOL Apparently it support for up to four PCIe® 3.0 M.2 drives with transfer bandwidth up to 128Gbps! According to ASUS at least. I think I just solved my own problem @kksnowbear ... Of course I do have the manual. The one I put in a safe place so I wouldn't lose it
  14. @kksnowbear ... No, you may be right. It's just that PC Specialist, the guys who supplied the PC, said there were two. He may have meant there are two free slots after the two I have used but they never got back to confirm it. I was just looking at other options.
