Hi, Yes, I had the same issue and for future travelers if this isn't fixed by the time they read this, in order to see the AWACS in the mission editor I clicked Map Options and checked "Show blue" Interestingly enough, as I was frustrated with the situation I tried a couple of things after going around and taking off: shooting the AWACS doesn't work, but a script triggers if you blow up your wingman on the ground where you kind of distort the truth lol. Anyway, with the AWACS removed I could complete the mission without issues.
