  1. I really like it. It's a bit salty tho at 499€.
  2. In the dead of the night, without warning or a release date. Nice.
  3. Even when pre-order ends, it only means that EA starts. We all know how EA goes from there. All this Razbam anti-climax was enough to kill my hype and excitement for this module. Just like the Apache which is just getting into an acceptable state for me to this day, instead of buying yet something I won't use for a while, I think I'll just hold on to my wallet for a year or so, until I'm excited again about the F-15E and I know that it's in a good-very good state. I'll also make sure not to watch any of the youtube influencers early reviews because I know all too well how well they manage to hide all the bugs and missing stuffs. All this Razbam anti-climax could very well had been avoided if only they had been transparent with the community from the start. Instead of hypeing for the the sake of hype based on rumors from social media, progress reports checked on an intended roadmap checklist and instead of this absurd "no release date given during pre-order", an estimated date would had been more respectful and transparent.
  4. In that case, this thread can be closed.
  5. https://about.fb.com/news/2023/06/meta-quest-3-coming-this-fall/ No DisplayPort again as it seems.
  6. I can confirm that I also use a TM stick there, but it's the official F-16 stick, which is very similar to the warthog stick.
  7. I have the earlier version, the Warbrd base and I can confirm that it does "clack" at some specific stick motions, although I have learnt to ignore it.
  8. Your quote doesn't make any sense.
  9. It's Razbam so, I guess no surprise then.
  10. Isn't there anything to read in a cockpit? Let's say, Tacan channel, as one example.
  11. 3080 TI, 5800X3D, 64Gb RAM @ 3600mhz and a Quest 2.
  12. Very difficult to read tbh. HB has very accurately and realistically textured it from a junkyard F-14, so everything inside the cockpit is pretty much unreadable in VR, unless ofcourse you can afford spending a couple thousands in VR and PC gear.
  13. Absolutely, but as someone else said, I have no interest for a "half baked half borked" implementation.
  14. Sorry, disagree. Wags videos are efficient and straight to the point and full of information, like tutorials should be. Otherwise, read a book or join the air force.
  15. I have to agree here folks. The weathering on the Tomcat is WAY exaggerated. A real pilot probably has to pass a vision test to be certified and thus not a problem reading weathered panels, even if they are that weathered irl, which i doubt. Hobbist like myself, past 50, with a vision already long past its prime, it is an unnecessary burden.
  16. That's exactly NOT what I said, but yeah.
  17. Given the fact that the tutorial videos are not on par with Matt Wagner's and that they are very long and boring to watch, too much blablabla, I think even with a good manual, Chuck's guide will definitely be more than helpful.
  18. I agree with you. Even tho the Sinai looks nice, I'm not buying it. The only other desert map that I will ever buy is a proper Desert Storm map.
  19. I don't know about the others, but I voted because it's an attempt at fixing a long lasting broken DCS feature (spotting), that is considered by its developers as "correct as is". The mod is not perfect, but it's better than vanilla. I hope it may then be integrated into DCS, because if airquake's balance is more important and prevents the community from fixing spotting, that'd be a shame.
  20. I have had mild success using the AI to generate simple python scripts. The thing is that to do so, one has to have a good understanding of the code itself. ChatGPT is language model. It constructs phrases by probabilities. It's quite impressive at times but also quite underwhelming at others, but being a language model, it is particularly good with codes.
  21. According to the books Tornado: In the eye of the storm and Strike Eagle: Flying the F-15E in the Gulf War, both planes were designed to delivery ammunition by flying very low and very fast through highly defended airspace. The Gulf War apparently changed that because of the extreme density of mk1 eyeball AAA versus the efficiency of modern Eletronic Warfare and SEAD/DEAD warfare, meaning that it was preferable to fly at medium altitudes an deal with SAMs than flying low and dealing with AAA barrages. BTW, both were meant to fly with TFR.
