  1. Then the mission file may be corrupted in someway if it doesn't show in the Caucasus Map. But glad you can see what I'm talking about with the load out issue.
  2. *Update* Interesting find, TARPS won't show mounted on to the Tomcat if you select the preset loadouts. Must be manually selected on the current load out bar. Also it flat out doesn't want to show up in the Caucuses Map. There's definitely a bug here.
  3. Hello Drivers and Developers, Not sure if anyone has noticed this or I may have missed something, but the TARPS kit including the ALQ...the Pod itself...and Extended Chaff Dispenser, all seem to not render at all when its in play whether online and offline. The pylons to mount the ALQ and ECD show up fine. This extends to when its used by AI, nothing shows up. However the mission editor can display it and recognize it onboard the aircraft. Has anyone had this issue before? Is there something I need to do first before launching? Thanks in advance. V/R - SGT Toffee **EDIT: I repaired DCS in all of its entirety, and even reinstalled Heatblur's F-14A/B module as of 04/08/2024 -- Results are the Same**
  4. Hello Drivers and Developers, I was caught in a weird situation in a dark, IFR situation on mission and my navigation was shot while trying to return to base heavily damaged. There was no way to tell if I was close to land on a map and boats were essentially static pieces with no geo references to the map either. So I figured, in this situation, would nautical markers towards shore be feasible enough to develop to assist with navigation in IFR or Low-IFR conditions? I found this neat piece showing things that can be used for piloting boats and aircraft. All that would need to happen is create small objects like these in order to the region, and can be referenced on a VFR Sectional both US and European standards. https://sailingissues.com/navcourse9.html This could be especially helpful once modules for ships come out (whenever that may be). Hope this is helpful! - Toffee
  5. Found the problem why my bombs were not tracking very well-- too much wind! I guess there's a tolerance to wind speeds at certain altitudes that will literally carry the GBUs way off course before they can spot their laser coded targets. I'm embarrassed. Ran a repair as well, nothing much changed but it's running smoother now as a UI. Thanks everyone!
  6. Thanks so much! I'll give it a shot once I'm home. Happy holidays!
  7. Yes. Everything was to standard for arming and releasing the LGB Ordinance. Down to the fuzing. The timer counts down as normal until TTI, then once that happens, I go to F6 view and see the bomb is not tracking.
  8. Hello Drivers and Developers, Excellent update so far! Love the new features and glad to see missiles and such tracking correctly. However I'm not sure if its Operator Error on my end, or there is something funky with the track, but here it goes. F/A-18C VFA-34 I would use GBU-12/24s on a campaign I designed to keep my skills sharp with Laser-Guided Ordinance for 1980s settings. After the update, I would commence my bombing run at FL330 and above with target preset in Waypoints 2-4 with all the correct parameters set as before. One GBU-24 would not track on the first target with the FLIR saying 0* L for alignment (R Crosswinds implemented). The Second GBU-24 would track on a Tailwind, with my AoA being 6* down at FL300. FLIR at 0*L/R for alignment. Then on the third target, Waypoint 4, I am required to launch 2 GBU-12s simultaneously. Both did not track at level plain, FL290. Alignment the same. Am I missing something here or does the new update prohibit laser energy to be consistent at higher altitudes? I'm thinking the sensor is narrowed to a more specific telemetry to target. Thank you! V/R - Toffee
  9. Thank you guys for doing this. I don't know how you guys do it, but you know how to work your magic. Cheers!
  10. Hi Drivers and Developers, Cruise Missile Issue still persists with the updates, but my squadron and I discovered something interesting in the TacViews: From the Player launching a SLAM/ER to a target with radar, it shows as a hit with the BDA Report From the Spectator, it shows going in circles. All which seen on two different tacview angles. TLAMs still go in a circle, but less of them are doing this. Whatever y'all have done this time, its working! Hope this new information helps moving forward. Y'all are doing a great job. - Toffee
  11. Hi Drivers and Developers, Would there be a potential feature of allowing a click-and-drag field over a wide area on the map to select AI and Static Objects simultaneously? Figured we could use it to mark off units to hide or remove easily, change nationalities/coalitions, move forces in any direction like desktop shortcuts, and even add tasks to units that use the same ordinance towards a single area. What do y'all think? - Toffee
  12. I saw the other day where you can change Ship Lighting in the triggers list in ME. This could be great for setting zones with that same command over wide terrain
  13. Hi Drivers and Developers, Since the update to 2.9 on open beta, I would go into multiplayer servers and every now and then…I would get these blinding flashes on screen with the dimming effect on the lights and sunsets/rises. It is very annoying and it’s difficult to get a screen shot of this phenomenon. I did get an external shot of the aircraft I was flying last night 0.5 seconds after the big flashes, and it lights up the aircraft a haunting green. What could this be? - Toffee
  14. I saw the previews for the project and I was wondering if the developers might like some input on the avionic aspects of the Fox-model Chinook. I did work on those along with Blackhawks throughout a majority of my military career as an Avionics Mechanic and Section Sergeant. Really excited to see how the progress will turn out for the 3D modeling!
