  1. I'm not well off by any means but I'm happy to save and pay $60-80. I do wish people would appreciate how much time, effort and money is invested in these modules and similar software developments. I've spent $70 on call of duty which took a few days to finish yet am still flying around and using the A-10C since it's early release, many years later. For most of us, these modules are the closest we'll ever get to experiencing flying these aircraft. Millions are spent training real-world pilots along with countless man-hours, we get a small taste of that for the price of a single night out. When I see similar amounts being charged for some console games, I appreciate that many companies making specialist material such as ED/Belsimtek etc, could likely make much more were they to divert their skills to those platforms. As I see it, $80 is not only an investment to my hobby, but a small thank you too. If people don't want to pay the higher amount, then there is the opportunity to buy them pre-release or wait for a sale. I think the developers have been most fair in this regard.
  2. Hmmm, saw the other thread, It's apparent that running DCS in 32bit mode didn't help  Wonder how long i've been running it like that?? Still, hadn't had any performance issues up until now but I now have access the cockpit and will test after work. Thanks to all who spent the time trying to assist me, much appreciated.
  3. Hello Neil, Am running 64bit version of Win7 Professional. Cheers
  4. Many thanks Dolphin, I will try this this evening
  5. Much appreciated, no rush, quite happy viewing the magnificent artwork :smilewink: and reading the manual at the moment.
  6. Hello Nicholas, thanks for your response. 1) unfortunately am unable to fly either. For example: I created a mission, checked to ensure that player was active, start-from-ramp, once loaded, the sim loaded straight to an external view (cockpit was not selectable). The 21 then proceeded to start and taxi on its own. No other aircraft were on the map. The same behaviour is evident whether it be campaign, single mission etc. Cheers
  7. Hi, thanks for the response. No, it can be in any mission, even the training missions or campaign.
  8. Hello, 1) I've just installed the MIG21 and no matter which mission I try, I am unable to access the cockpit of the aircraft. 2) I have attempted an UPDATE and and UPDATE repair but to no avail. 3) After installing, at no time was I asked to register the serial, however it is listed in the module manager. Any assistance would be gratefully received. Cheers
  9. Tell me about it and i aint going to get home until tomorrow :helpsmilie::pilotfly:
  10. Actually, just seen the WW2 Europe project video so yes, while annoying to see a product discounted, if it keeps simulations alive, then i'll take this one on the chin.
  11. Thanks for this, will try this evening.
  12. Yeah, I had to do it all again cos I landed on the wrong pad and exited before seeing mission success lol. gonna go out and make me an extension to my cougar now.
  13. Practise, some of those chaps have been flying for years.
  14. Thanks for the link, cheers
  15. +1 I agree, while i've only flown R22 and R44 helis in real-life, was very impressed with the dynamics and flying characteristics.
  16. Yep, purchased, just awaiting .4 download
  17. crap crap crap crap, it's here, it's here and i'm stuck at work
  18. All well and good with esablished firms such as ED etc, many feel they got burned with fighter ops and are reluctant to put money up front for such projects. I'd prepay for the Huey though and it seemed to work for VRS tacpac.
  19. Know what yer mean, cost of movie tickets in the uk are horrendus :smilewink:
  20. That's the kind of honesty I like in a developer, no unrealistic expectations leading to disapointment, just the truth. Thanks for the update, appreciated. ps, evilbivol, are you able give us an idea of how many man hours have gone into the huey and the 1.2.4 patch? would be useful in allowing us mere mortals to appreciate just how much work goes into these products (works of art even).
  21. Thanks, saw the yeah but no but yeah that's why I edited my post, appeared to be an over-reaction without checking first :-) ; you chaps are too quick though  Makes sense to eventually go for 64bit only, just thought I would be spending shed loads of money before getting my hands on the update and the Huey.
